IMOGEN: Jesse says you better know what you’re doing with Franco. ME: Dude, I’m scared. IMOGEN: !! What? Tell me! ME: He makes me FEEL THINGS. It’s icky and I don’t like it. IMOGEN: You’ve known him what, a few hours? ME: I’m telling you, he scares the sh*t out of me. But he’s so good I can’t stop myself. IMOGEN: Audra, seriously. Chill. It’s been a couple hours. It’s just insta-lust.
I send Imogen another selfie, this one of my face—I'm biting my lower lip, eyes wide, glancing to the side at Franco laying next to me—his mouthwatering and lust-inducing body is on full display from the waist up. I send a caption a second later:
ME: YOU DONT UNDERSTAND!!! HE’S GOT A MAGICAL D*CK AND I’M FEELING THINGS!!! ME: Uh-oh. He’s waking up. Time for round…3? 4? I’ve lost count. Tell me I’m a cold-hearted man-eating b*tch with no soul. Tell ME! IMOGEN: You’re a cold-hearted man-eating bi*ch with no soul? Only, you’re not. So…you’re on own with this one. Except if you need me of course. I’ve got All Thai’d Up on speed dial, three bottles of Josh in the rack. ME: if this goes south—or anywhere except nowhere, you’d better make it four. Or six. Because we’re either going to be incredible together, or we’ll destroy each other. There will be no in between.
I set the phone aside as Franco’s stunning blue eyes open and fix hungrily on me. He reaches for me, and all thoughts are banished except one:
God, I hope I know what I'm doing…
I laugh internally at that, because does anyone know what they’re doing?
Jasinda Wilder is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of more than 100 titles including the #1 Amazon bestseller Falling Into You, the Audie Award-winning (best audiobook) Alpha, and the beloved, 17-book Badd Brothers series. She and her husband Jack Wilder have sold more than 7 million copies and have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. You can find them at their fairy tale cottage by a lake somewhere in Michigan with their 6 kids, 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bunnies, and way too many ducks and chickens.
Oh wow! I really don’t know how Jasinda does it. Her books are just amazing, they just suck you in and you don’t want to leave the world that your reading. It happens every time I read a book by her.
This book it is hot and steamy to say the least. It also has a great humour to it. I love that the characters in this series are in there 40’s yet when reading it, it feels like there younger.
I loved the back and forth with Franco and Audra. Although some times I could have bopped her on the head.
I can’t believe that this is only the second book in the series. I can only imagine what is going to happen with the next one.
The Dad Bod Contracting guys are Hot, Sexy and just so darn Loveable. Drilled is Franco and Audra’s story. These two are quite the pair and the author has done a wonderful job of telling their story as well as delving into more of the connection between the 4 men who are as close as brothers.
Franco and Audra have similar relationship issues. For starters, they both have a 3 to 4 max rule (meaning they won’t see the same person more than 3 or 4 times) and they both no clue how to deal with unwanted feelings. Granted with incidents in their respective pasts, these similarities may be warranted, but what happens when they hook up and rockets go off, lighting bolts light up the sky and feelings start to worm their way in? Well if I did spoilers, I’d tell ya, but I just can’t ruin this one. Let’s just say there is a lot more to Franco than just his six pack, good looks and according to Audra his Magical D*ck and there is more to Imogen than her crazy personality, her happy go lucky lifestyle and according to Franco her tight sexy butt.
While these two might have a lot of baggage, at least in their own minds, their story is sexy, fun and soooooo worth reading. Drilled is fast paced with a humorous storyline and a great addition to the series. If you haven’t read book 1, Hammered, I Highly Recommend grabbing up both ASAP. You won’t be sorry you did.
Dang it, Jasinda DRILLED it again! I mean, she already Hammered it.
No, honestly, this was nothing like I expected it and yet everything I hoped for. The story itself lures you, keeps you intrigued and you find yourself invested with everything unfolding.
Drilled is not just hot and sexy, it's deeply emotive. I loved the explosive moments between Audra and Franco. I loved that the story itself had a reasonable time line of when and how things happened. I loved the conflicts between all the characters... and I especially loved the new one introduced.
What I appreciate the most of this series? The age of the characters. It's a stereotypical assumption that at forty, your career, love and life are in place. Well, that's not always the case. You are on the right path when it comes to your job, career, but scared to commit. Scared to let someone in. This is what this series is about. Letting go of the hold and live.
I truly do recommend this book (series). I"m in love with the characters thus far and cannot wait for what's to come.
The feels! So this book left me with an emotional high. A very good one. Franco & Audra's story is full of soo many emotions I was getting whiplash of who I wanted to console, who I wanted to slap for being so stubborn. These two were fascinating to read. I liked how Author Jasinda Wilder gave us these flawed characters and showed us their journey in finding how to deal with fixing themselves with self discovery as well as finding their equal!
Loving this series & can't wait to see what happens next with the Bod Contracting men!
I have never read two characters that aggravated me so much as Franco and Audra. I swear, if I could have reached in to the book I would have smacked each of them, several times! Granted, they have both been burned in the past, had crappy childhoods, but they are in their forties now and OMG!!!! "slap, slap slap"...snap out of it!!!
Ok, regardless of the above...I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I loved the story and I loved all of the characters, including the newest to the series, Laurel and Nova. We do get to hear more about these hot Dad Bod guys and get to delve a bit into their pasts. But it is Franco and Audra's lives, their pasts that we wait patiently to find out about. To find out just what made them the way they are and why the have having so much trouble letting go and allowing themselves to fall into one another. I swear it was like pulling teeth to get these two to finally open up to each other, but when they do, did it really help their current state? I will say though, my favorite part of their story comes late in the book (no secrets spilled here). I absolutely loved how they finally let go, and just how they did that. I loved every minute, every word, every detailed description of what went on in and around that Condo. That right there was a very beautiful and romantic scene..and there was no sex involved! It was fantastic.
I am so loving this series and I certainly hope you jump on this one because you will not regret it. I can hardly wait to read the next book!!!
Whew! Turn up the fans as it is going to get hot, hot, hot in here!
Franco and Audra are not certain about anything when it comes to what is actually happening between the two of them. They have very strict rules when it comes to relationships and they are breaking each and every one of them…
Reluctantly, loudly, they can’t seem to help themselves even as they fight tooth and nail against it. And while they’re doing that they can’t keep their hands off each other. The chemistry between them plays out with all the volatility of a runaway train but with humour and emotion that caught my attention right away. They protested too much, it’s true, but they also were as honest and up front as they could be, especially when they started digging under the surface of their rules…
I loved these characters and the friendships that surrounded them. Imogen and Jessie, their best friends, provided the frank talk and support they both needed.
I missed the first in the series but I will be going back to read that right away. If you are looking for heat and emotion, this is the perfect read to satisfy that craving…
I absolutely couldn’t wait for Franco & Audra’s story and it was everything I imagined. There chemistry was explosive, there sex was off the charts but their pasts still haunts them. Both stubborn Franco & Audra avoid each other but when their friends step it, they finally cave. This was another amazing book in this series that I could t put down once I started reading. I can’t wait until Book 3 comes out. Another 5 Star read that everyone must one click.
Audra has no problem calling Franco out on his crap, “because ghosting on your partner is good manners.” He sighs, an almost inaudible huff of long-suffering as he shuts my door and circles back around to his side..." Franco can say the nicest things at times, “again, hadn’t noticed.” He stares me down. “I did notice the way your *** looks in those jeans, though.” I liked this book, I really liked Franco.
Ok so Jesse’s book was great but dang Jasinda... this one is FREAKING AMAZING!!! Franco and Audra’s story is so well written. Love the back and fourth between them, even if sometimes I wanna scream at Audra to pull her head out of her a**!!!!! This is a HOT HOT HOT, HEA, sucks u into the DAd Bod world and never lets you go book. The involvement and evolving of the whole “family” is so flawless and perfect too. Another reason why Jasinda is an amazing series writer! Read the whole series it will not disappoint! Oh and did I mention this book is HOT HOT HOT!!!! Tastefully of course ;) Bring on Ryder
I really enjoyed this novel. Its definitely got some sexy scenes but there was some character building as well. There were a few instances that made me cringe on the judgemental scale but I quickly forgot them as I was engrossed in the story.
i love audra and franco so much. they both have similar trauma and that's why they can relate to one another. so far they are my favourite in the series so far. its 4.5 simply, because i feel like the their break was too long and dragged out.
I love this book! Audra and Franco had me wanting more with every turn of the page. This book was as good as the first in this series. I was so excited when this book came live. A MUST READ! *Magic Beyond The Covers Book Blog*
Ok. DNF in Chapter 2. The female MC is fat shaming her best friend after complaining that her no strings attached hookup bailed on her before she could bail on him. And she's addicted to him and of course will break her own rules to track him down for another chance so she can get him back in bed and make the morning after right. Ma'am, you're 40. Just, stop. I dont care about you or your story. Just, no.

A fun and heart warming story: I loved Audra and Franco!
I’m a huge fan of this author and I love the Dad bod series so I couldn’t wait to read the second book which is about the best friend of Imogen from book one, hammered.
Audra is a confident, independent 40 year old and has a reputation as a cold hearted man eater but that’s how she chooses to behave to protect herself from getting hurt. She still feels the effects of being badly burned by a man in her past so now she has fun with men but doesn’t keep them around for more than one night.
Franco is a contractor and works for Dad bod with his friends. He’s never short of female attention but limits the time he spends with women to the occasional date and a bed. He doesn’t do commitments, relationships and rarely repeats with the same woman but with Audra, he gets a surprise because she lives her life the same way as he does.
As much as Audra and Franco try to avoid each other, fate keeps bringing them together and they have several awkward interactions that end with them again going their separate ways. When two people who have been hurt come together with explosive chemistry and a deep connection, will either of them have the guts to face their fears or will their stubbornness and defiance stop them from getting the love that they deserve?
I loved Audra and Franco’s story: it’s refreshing to read a book where the main characters are 40+ and mature adults. There are some great side characters who’s stories I’m looking forward to reading and there was a lot of humour in this story which made it enjoyable to read so I would definitely recommend it.
From the moment I read Hammered (Jesse and Imogen’s story) I knew that it would be so easy to fall into this world that Jasinda Wilder is able to create. This was much the same for Drilled where we get to really meet the characters of Audra and Franco who while sort of introduced in the previous book, with Drilled, we are actually able to see what goes on behind the supposedly hard/no nonsense facade these characters showed.
Both dealing with past hurts, Audra and Franco are extremely quick to discard any notion of elevating their relationship to anything but one night stands. As the story progresses, we learn just why these two characters are so cynic when it comes to love and relationships and what started as a one time fling much to the chagrin of both characters, soon turns into something that neither of them is seemingly ready for. With the help of great (meddlesome) friends, these two characters finally are able to start moving on from their past in order to start carving a future where both of them are able to both trust and love again.
I absolutely loved Drilled and though it has the most angst I’ve ever read to date that had me nervous as the book came to a conclusion with no seeming resolution in sight, I’m happy to say that Jasinda Wilder gave her characters that happy ending that we as readers hoped for from the first page. I do have to say that I’m going to miss hearing about Audra and Franco and though they’ll probably be in the next couple books in the Dad Bod Contracting series, I could SO go for a sequel for Audra and Franco.
Sooo recommend this book! And thanks to the author for allowing me to review her awesome book in exchange for an honest review.

Drilled (Dad Bod Contracting #2) by Jasinda Wilder is such a beautiful, mesmerizing, enjoyable read. I love this series because it's about older characters and helps get the point around that you can find true love at any age or any time in your life. This book was a pleasant, fun read for me. I think everyone is going to love it as much as I did.
This book is Audra and Franco's story and boy you will not be let down. It's sexy, emotional, breathtaking, and will have you turning page after page. These characters have mad chemistry and I mean it is flammable. Your kindles are going to be on fire. I loved these two so much. Audra is pushy and speaks her mind, but she's also learning to open her heart to Franco. Watching the two of them grow together is so heartwarming, especially with everything they have been through. Franco is an amazing man, I just loved him. The moments Audra just sets back and watches him, I couldn't help but fall harder. He's a memorable man.
So if you love romances where the characters have to learn how to love again, grow as one, learn to leave the past behind and fight to stay together, then you're going to enjoy this book. I sure did. All the characters in the Dad Bod series are phenomenal and worth every last minute of your reading.
I give Drilled (Dad Bod Contracting #2) by Jasinda Wilder 5 out of 5 LOVING STARS!
Drilled is a book that could quite literally steam up your windows. I'm talking hot hot hot.
Audra and Franco's chemistry in this one is pretty intense. These two can't seem to keep their hands off one another. The pull they have to one another makes this book steamy AF. These two however have baggage and it's buried deep. They are not interested in anything more then a fling, almost a wham bam thanks for the good times, have a nice life. Technically these two have the same feelings towards relationships and really they are a match made in heaven.
But as always it's hard to ignore someone who you have mutual friends with, especially when there's a spark. And these two definitely had that spark and then some. With steamy filled moments that will have you biting your knuckles and fanning yourself to witty and a bit over the top banter that will have you cackling, Drilled is a delicious and funny read.
The second instalment in this series does not disappoint and we already knew that it was going to be between Franco and Audra, both serial daters after a past that has left them scared of commitment.
Audra tells the story this time and we see as she struggles with her emotions with Franco from the first moment that they get together and have sex, not great for Audra who has always kept things clean and simple since the time she got burned.
The book can feel a little slow at times and then we get big reveals or at least partial reveals until the end where it all becomes clear for the couple, but only once they have emotionally gone to hell and back, running scared and hiding out from friends and themselves, until something helps clear their minds.
I Enjoyed meeting two new female character and look forward to see how the relationships go between the remaining two men with Ryder and Laurel and then lastly James and Nova.
Ohh these two characters took me for a loop. I LOVED them but at the same time wanted to slap the crap out of them. HAHA.
Audra and Franco's story is unique in a way that makes sure that you do not want to put this story down until the very last word in the book. Audra and Franco take you into their love and steal you away and don't let you go.
At first, I thought I had missed something but very quickly it became apparent I had not. Both Franco and Audra have a history of not trusting and doing lots of one night stands or the 3 or 4-night rule. It is interesting to watch two people fight their feelings for each other because of their past.
I enjoyed this story and how Jasinda set up her next book. Can't wait to read it!
For me this one was a bit boring at the start, sure there was a lot of hot sex between Audra and Franco, but man both of them were full of issues, which made it not all that interesting. As both are over 40 you would think they would be past these things, or at least not let them bother them so much. Things finally picked up for me when Audra and Franco started to talk to each other about their issues and why they were the way they were. I liked that they acknowledged their past without passing judgement on the other. I thought it would lead to their HEA, but it was just one more step for them to run away. Finally both wised up at the end and fully committed, letting them leave their past in the past.
I LOVED this book!! So I already knew that the Dad Bod Contracting series was going to be good after I read the first one. I am loving these characters so hard.
First of all I love a book from one POV, I never thought I would be that person that gets picky. This story was so easy to follow and I became even more of a Jasinda fan. I love her writing!!
Audra and Franco's story was so darn good. Two people who don't believe in love, but fall for each other. The friendships formed and the relationships and stories for the future are just so perfect. I love love love this series!!
"Deep down I'm terrified of connecting with someone again and having them rip it away from me."
Love love love this series so far. Drilled had me laughing tearing up and mad. Most all at the same time. Definitely a great read. Super passionate. Great flow. Awesome in true Jasinda fashion. Franco can knock your socks off in seconds flat. I mean whew! Love him. Read this series! It’s different more mature and completely addictive in the best ways!
Absolutely Adore this series! Drilled is Awesome! Franco and Audra coming together having that moment of letting the walls down and sharing their pasts with each other tore at my heart. I one clicked and now today have the biggest book hangover I have had in a long time! With the characters being around my age I so connected to them more. Keeps my romantic heart hopes alive in reality!

Drilled by Jasinda Wilder is the second book in the Dad Bod Series. Even though it is the second book in a series it can also be read as standalone. Drilled is Franco and Audra's story. And let me tell it it was just as hot as the first book Hammered! Jasinda and Jack Wilder sure know how to write some amazing stories and I couldn't get enough!! Brilliant work!
Love Audra and Franco story things were intense but everything came into place about how they became the person they are but each will learn that letting go of old hurt can be freeing.
I don't know how to feel about this book, I mean I liked it but at the same time it was like blah. Audra and Franco were a little to dramatic for my taste
Again I appreciated having a couple in their 40s and them both coming to this relationship having shied away from commitment for most of their adult lives. We ended up getting the information I wanted but there were definitely times in this book I wanted the MMCs perspective. I found the focus on physical appearance, diet and exercise consistent with the FMC but still uncomfortable and constant
