Mason Stone loves writing songs, and sharing them with anyone who’ll listen. He’s talented too, and has quite a following in Poppy Field. He hopes to make a living in the music field, but it’s not easy getting noticed in a small town like Poppy Field. When a big shot music producer moves to town, Mason makes a point of trying to charm the guy. Which isn’t easy, because Bain Harris is a bit of an asshole.
When Bain Harris moves to Poppy Field, it isn’t because he loves small towns. He’s a city boy through and through, and is only in Poppy Field because he’s running from some drama back in Los Angeles. He’s produced some of the biggest names in the music industry, but he’s got a bit of a reputation for sleeping with his protégées. One broken hearted protégée swallowed a bottle of sleeping pills when he dumped him, and so Bain is hiding out in Poppy Field until things blow over.
Bain can see that Mason is extremely gifted, and he even thinks maybe he can help the kid. He’s also extremely attracted to Mason, but after what happened back in Los Angeles, he’s a little gun shy about getting involved with anyone; especially since he still doesn’t want anything serious. But he doesn’t need to worry about Mason, the last thing Mason wants is to settle down and have babies. Music is Mason’s only true love.
Unfortunately, things go from awkward to disastrous when Mason ends up pregnant.
This is a sweet and sexy, contemporary, non-shifter love story with mpreg and a HEA ending. Though part of the Poppy Field Mpreg Series, this standalone story does not need to be read as part of the series.
This was book 7 in the "Poppy Field" series. Mason Stone is Sam's little brother he is an omega who is also a gifted singer song writer. While doing a sect at a coffeehouse a Hollywood music producer comes in and he likes what he sees and hears. Bain Harris came to town to get away from a scandal one of his artist tried to kill himself because of him. Bain is a hot sexy Alpha who is also arrogant and a jerk Bain is also a manwhore who sleeps with different omega's everyday. I really liked this book when Bain hooks up with Mason's best friend Rudy he let's him have it. Bain was running scared he develops feelings for Mason as they begin to work together. Mason grew up in a loving and supportive family and they are close Bain has a brother that he is not close to. After his first concert they meet up with someone Bain has had sex with and the guy is jealous Bain and Mason have a fight. Mason also doesn't want to tell Bain that he is sick and when he finds out why he gets even more fearful that Bain with leave him and that his career is over. This was a good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
I really enjoyed this new addition to the Poppy Field series. Bain comes across as a self centered man- whore at the beginning of the story. Once he starts feeling attracted to Mason he runs. I liked that he acknowledged how cowardly and wrong he was. Mason is sure that Bain would never want to be tied to one omega. They each are afraid of losing the other and Mason's unexpected pregnancy it the catalyst to get them to open up. I loved getting to see Caden and Sam from the last book again. I'm looking forward to seeing Rudy and Harry find their HEA. Adult read
Hmmmmmm...I gotta admit that Bain is the least likeable hero in the PF series. Right from the beginning he is such a manwhore....to include a possible questionable consent situation. I am also weirded out by his habit of having sex with his clients. Regardless of that, Mason Stone sees his relationship with Bain as the road to stardom. I couldn't help but wish there was a little more relationship building in the story...it sort of goes from antagonistic insta-lust to friends with benefits and HEA really fast. I was hoping we would get an opportunity to see the relationship develop once they started on the road. Instead we only get through one stop before the big reveal. I also don't feel I got an opportunity to get invested in Mason personally. I would have like a little more about his musical journey and/or decision to live independently and casual.

Mason is a talented musician Bain stumbles upon. At the beginning, Bain is selfish. He cares only about his needs and a complete loner, no close relationships of any kind. He goes through omegas like candy. I did not like him and connected more with Rudy (a side character) than Bain. However, as his relationship with Mason evolves, he changes. Bain turns from selfish and unlikeable to caring and lovable. Being with Mason awakens the good in Bain, shows him about happiness and love and family. The first quarter of the book, I was distracted by my dislike of Bain but the rest was really good. I loved how their relationship developed. The last half of the book was fantastic and I devoured it. Maybe a reread would change my four to a five because I did very much enjoy the book.
To my ratings (thanks to amazon I had to change it again and 'upgrade' it a little bit)
5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow- Away-book like 'Liberty' from Seth King, 'Save the kids' series from EM Leya or 'Jesse's Smile' from Angelique Jurd), it's like an A+
4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A
3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+
3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader, but not really an often reread book
2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (i wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D
1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolut NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
It was a new great story around Poppy Field. Well written MCs with an interesting past, slowly growing attraction and deep feelings. I really like the story!
I have enjoyed reading this series and I loved this book.
Bain was a hardass without any clear reason and very self-centred. I'm pleased that he fell off of high horse when the right omega came along.
I loved that Mason was a well-balanced man who was very secure in himself, which was down to his loving and supportive family.
They make a great couple.
I'd like it if we could see Bain's reunion with his brother, if only through some connection through other characters given that some are already known to others.
I'm also very much looking forward to what I hope will be Rudy and Harry's story.
Bain and Mason are two men who want only their careers. Mason, an omega wants to write his songs and have a career in music. Bain is settled in his life in discovering new talent and having sex without commitment. meeting in Poppy Field Bain finds more than he was looking for and Mason wants more than he thought he did. Jealousy and poor communication almost ruins what both find they want. An excellent Mpreg book and love finding even the most guarded hearts. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC book
Apakah semua laki2 seperti Bain? Baru 3 hari di Poppy Field udah hook up sm 3 orang, sadis!
I really like this series. Great story and characters. Bain and Mason I adore their story! I loved how Mason stood up to Bain. How he let him know exactly what he thought of him.
This book didn't disappoint. It was a nice, smooth read for me. Mason got me really curious during Sam and Caden's story. It was nice to know he got his own HEA 💚
Did the disgusting alpha need to have sex with an omega right after meeting the MC? No, he didn't. Disgusting and not what I look for in a romance book. I don't want to hear about it the morning after either.
