When Mell Eight was in high school, she discovered dragons. Beautiful, wondrous creatures that took her on epic adventures both to faraway lands and on journeys of the heart. Mell wanted to create dragons of her own, so she put pen to paper. Cute and waaaaaay too short.

This was a full bodied short story that was sweet but packed punch. Denton is a vampire with heart...err silent heart that is, until he meets Orien, a wolf shifter. You think this is just going to be another sweet love story, but are soon awakened to the fact it is not. Danger lurks and Denton must let go of his own gentle ways if he wants to protect himself and Orien. Excellent vampire story.

Great short, works well in the limited time that is given. Things move quickly but the chemistry is a lot of fun and the circumstances to bring the two together are both sweet and simple, and intense and dramatic. Great read!

As far as prequel go this one is top notch, Can't wait for the next book. It set the stage.
