“Where do I start? First, is that I absolutely adored this story. I’m not sure what was I expecting but I’m so pleased of what I read. Honestly, Hidden Under the Surface wasn’t what I usually read. It was like fresh air and I loved it. Michelle wrote a magnificent story. I hope everybody loves this story as much as I did.

Anne-Marie and Andre story will forever be in my heart. Anne-Marie was an extremely strong character so as Andre. Life wasn’t good for neither of them but they managed to survive.

I was so involved in the story that it was impossible for me to stop reading. I’m not gonna lie I felt the angst and the annoyance before they met because I wanted so desperately for them to met each other. I was so pleased how they met. I promised to not give spoilers so I’ll keep my promise but trust me, you’ll fall for them.

I loved their connection. The spark between them was settled the moment they met each other and I would risk to say that before they even met. To me it was like love at first sight. Sometimes you don’t realized it but it’s there. They both were broken souls with a hurtful past. Their love was like a jump of faith and hoping for the best. They were like a match made in heaven. I’m so happy they found their happily ever after. They absolutely deserved it.

Before I finish I must said that I loved Andre. What a fascinating and incredible man he was! I can’t think of someone else perfect for Anne-Marie than him. No matter what, to me, he was a Prince Charming, a knight in shining armor always ready to protect her lady. I wasn’t planning to fall in love with him but OMG he made it so easy. It would be a crime not falling for him.

If you’re looking for a scorching, absorbing and consuming romance this story would be like cleanse air. Something different, new and perfect! It was a slow burn romance with so much passion and love hidden under the surface until they emerged."

I loved this story.

Andre had a rough start. Specially when he got involved with Bic and the drugs and underground fighting he was doing and then with Cas. Still can't believe she trashed the house and left him for her ex.

Anna-Marie straight from the start I felt for her. The way her douchebag of a husband was treating her. Total shock on how he thought it was OK to bring another chick back to there house and think it wouldnt end bad the cheating barstard haha.

I loved how Andre from the first time he saw Anna-marie in the gym and helped her with those guys and even later when the cyclists ran her over he was there. The connection they had straight away got me all gooey inside. Andre was such a gentlemen the whole time. The fact he didn't care she was in a wheelchair made it even better. The beach scene was just so sweet. I must admit I laughed my ass off when she sent him a text and said it was Annie and he wrote back saying he doesn't no an Annie as a joke and the way she took it was to funny.

I also loved how they just felt comfortable with each other straight away and opened up with there secrets.

This was a sweet and captivating story. It drew me in from the beginning. Anne-Marie is this absolutely amazing person. She is sweet, charming, caring, and loving. She has a rough life at times but she doesn’t let it affect her. Andre is this rough and tough guy that has a heart of gold. But, talk about one protective alpha male. He is the guy of guy you would wish was yours. The chemistry between the two is felt throughout the story. This story touches on some very real and hurtful parts but was beautifully incorporated into the story without being hurtful or insensitive to anyone that may have experienced these issues. It was well written and a beautiful flow to the story. It is definitely worth reading and won’t disappoint. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.

Hidden Under the Surface is an a great story about Annie and many other characters that have had their lives affected by others in one way or another. Annie’s life turned upside down for the second time and a year later Andre walks in to her life. He is nothing that she had expected. Maybe two broken hearted people can be just what the other one needs.

This is a beautiful story of moving forward in many different ways. The author did a fantastic job with this one!

When I began reading this book I found myself rolling my eyes. I was so frustrated with Anne-Marie and Andre and both their current life situations and relationships. But... I kept reading and I’m so glad that I did because this story was so sweet! I loved that both Anne-Marie and Andre were given a chance to support each other while moving beyond their past and towards a new brighter future. This was my first read by Michelle Heron but definitely won’t be my last.

I really wasn't sure what this book was about as I went into it blind like I often like to do. I was very pleasantly surprised, I really enjoyed the story. It was a captivating story of heartache and learning to move forward. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

As Anne-Marie says in this book
'I just love being able to read a book before it's released to hundreds of readers'. 'It's kind of an honor to be amongst those first few people'.

No true words have ever been spoken. It is my honor to receive an Arc from any author and I especially feel honored for those first time authors as Michelle is for me.

Michelle I truly loved this book. It was a swoonworthy, heartfelt, unique love story. Andre & Anne-Marie are two broken souls who are just perfect for each other.

A wonderful read.

Loved this book! Although I don’t know whether my eyes skimmed across as to when she was in a wheelchair as didn’t seem to be in the start. Love how their lives crossed over and going through the same heart break

I really enjoyed this book! Andre is a great stand up guy who has endured so much and has worked so hard to be the man that he is. Annie’s character is inspiring! She has been through hell and back and still manages to keep on going. It made me happy to see them find their way to each other. I really hope that we get more of Dre & Annie!

This is another great read in the Lost Girls universe. This book starts out with two different stories. Andre's life & Ann-Marie's life. They both change their lives on the same day not realizing how their paths cross. A year later chance has them meeting and they discover their connection. They both are damaged souls that deserve happiness. They seem to have found it with each other. But life has a way making things get in the way. They are both hesitant. As the reader I wanted them together right away. I felt their pain and my heart yearned for their HEA. This is a great love story full of healing and instant chemistry.

First book by Michelle Heron and it was really good. This was such a sweet read. The story captured you quick and you have to find out everything that is going to happen. I loved watching Dre and Annie’s relationship go from friends to lovers. Just a sweet read with lots of swoon.

I liked this book. The author put little hints to have the reader figure things out as the book went on. I wanted a little more about what caused Anne Marie to leave with Caleb for 15 years. More about their relationship before they left. Andre was solid for me. The strong type of guy with a tender heart. I wanted more about Anne Marie’s physical condition. For me, more explanation as to why she only needed the chair for distance. But at the same time I appreciated it didn’t hold her back at all and didn’t define her as a person or in her and Andre’s budding relationship. They are a sweet couple!

This is a lovely, well-crafted story about two strong people that fate brings together, thanks to shared friends and family. While I believe that more details about why Anne -Marie requires a wheelchair part of the time would have made it more meaningful, it was gratifying to read about a heroine who doesn't see it as a barrier to anything in her life. Andre is a fully developed character who's been hurt in the past but sees something in Anne-Marie that he knows he likes. His respect for her brother (his high school friend) is also a nice plot point as is his willingness not to see her disability as anything but part and parcel of a woman he will come to love.

A wholly satisfying HEA awaits you when you read this novel by Michelle Heron.

Sweet, all the feels

This was my first Michelle Heron book, so her writing style was a bit new for me. But it didn't take long at all to get totally hooked on this story. Dre is a fighter, looking for a fresh start but once he gets it, he realizes hes still missing something in his life, then he meets Annie. Annie comes across as very insecure but she has good reason to. I actually really like her character because she doesn't fit just one box or stereotype- she's unique and different from other female leads. This story is heartwarming and so swoony- I need to go find Tiny and Ravens story now.
