مختصرة عن الاسكريبت الخاص بالفيلم.
في العام المنتظر فيه عودة الملك العقرب, تقوم حبيبة امنتوحتب بمحاولة إرجاعه, تتشابك الأحداث وتتصاعد بوتيرة عادية بالنسبة لفيلم سينمائي.

قرأت نسخة إنجليزية تعليمية من دار بنجوين.
نسخة مختصرة من القصة, لأن العمر أقصر من أن أحيط بكل الروايات الكلاسيكية السابقة التي فاتتني. وأنا أريد فعلاً أن ألم بهم.

Se podría considerar un resumen muy básico de la película. Amo El regreso de la momia, podría verla una y otra vez y no me cansaría, pero este libro no le hace justicia. Es cierto que es una versión adaptada para estudiantes de inglés, pero se le podría haber sacado más provecho a la trama.
Tenemos como protagonistas a Rick y Evelyn, el mejor matrimonio de arqueólogos que te puedas topar. Junto a Alex, su hijo de 8 años, se ven nuevamente metidos en problemas por culpa del brazalete de Anubis. Además, Imhotep amenaza con regresar una vez más entre los muertos y, si consigue su objetivo de vencer al Rey Escorpión, el mundo se sumirá en las tinieblas...
La trama lo tiene todo para ser trepidante, pero lo que más falla es lo aséptica que resulta. Los personajes no transmiten nada y nunca se describen sus sentimientos. Si no has visto la película, tal vez no te importe, pero a mí me dolía en el alma no percibir el humor de Rick, el ingenio de Evelyn o el aura misteriosa de sus enemigos. Es como un texto sin alma, únicamente hay descripciones directas y escuetas de sucesos y acciones.
El nivel de inglés que se requiere para leer esta obra no es alto y puede que por eso se haya simplificado tanto la trama. En ese sentido, cumple su objetivo de ofrecer una historia breve y con un lenguaje sencillo. Pero la sencillez no debería ser sinónimo de frialdad. Un poco más de sentimiento le hubiera hecho ganar algunos puntos.
Como lectura ligera para practicar inglés, no es una mala opción. En cambio, si lo que buscas es revivir lo que te hace sentir la película, mejor que contengas tus expectativas.
Por lo primero, la puntuación real sería un 2,5/5. Por lo segundo, me veo incapaz de redondear al alza.

This was okay. After reading the Indiana Jones books, I can say that this wasn't really good. The perspective I have now gained has allowed me to say this was a huge disappointment. I wish it was more limited in its third person. I wish Rick stopped reminding us of his utter devotion to Evy in his head. We got it after the second time you thought it and based on the movies.
I love this movie and the cartoon based of the movie so much but not the book. I still want to find the first book in paperback but I'm not certain I will read it. I just don't like having only the second book.

The book has a healthy dose of action sequence despite being a short book. The story progression is quick. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

This book was a far cry from the movie, which I adore.
When I requested this book from the library, I'd been under the impression that it was a novelization of the book, instead of a kid's version of it.
It was almost painful to read it was so dumbed down.
This book was even worse than the first one. The scarabs were called 'little animals'. If anything, they are bugs.

Again one of my favorite movies growing up, just had to. And this edition was very short too, only 38 pages.
