Good book. Applicable to any agency IMO. Decent depth in how to drum up and grow business. The value, for me, lies in the loads of tips at the back of the book. From a typographic perspective, could've done with a bit of better formatting at times (page numbers, typos, bullet lists, tables, ..)

Some great points and lots of measures more importantly to say what is a good state for an agency and what is a bad state. Recommend having a paper copy, as will be coming back to it as a reference over and over.

Good book but the amount of typos annoyed me. It's not difficult to proof read your work!

Great insights into running a digital agency successfully. I'm sure many of the points could be used in running most types of business. As I have worked in several agencies as a developer, it's very interesting to hear about how an owner should be running the business. Overall quite interesting and different from most business books I've consumed so far in that it revolves around software agencies, plenty of details about day to day running. Thanks to Spencer Spencer Gallagher for sharing his experience in starting from the beginning to becoming a successful entrepreneur in an industry close to my heart (software).

A great read for agency owners

A useful and actionable read with some very practical advice on building your agency. I particularly liked some of the benchmarks given (for example, billable staff should manage 3x their salary in client revenue, aim for £100K revenue per person per year, etc). The authors also provided plenty of tips for a wide range of agency sizes, ranging from starter agencies all the way up to mid seven figures. A recommended read for any fellow agency owners.

I was sceptical of this book. I’ve seen it referenced by peers for a few years and thought it was probably just a couple of agency founders showing off about how much money they made. I was pleasantly surprised. This book contains realistic actions to grow a business and offers food for thought to any agency owner trying to grow. There were times when I felt totally inadequate as an agency owner but the suggestions within the book allow me to see where I can make changes.

Some great points in here but come on guys, this is a book, not a blog post. Hire a copy editor. Wading through the mistakes with basic spelling and sentence structure was excruciating at points.

I found this so so useful. This was a borrowed copy but will be purchasing my own so that I can make copious notes!

Good Practical Tips and Advice

The book starts off a little slow but as it progressed it really does feel into the numbers, roles and requirements needed to build a great agency.
