Essentially, Fulton Sheen never misses. So many great reflections on the 7 last words of Christ in this Anthology of 7 of his books. I still think I thirst is my favorite, but have grown in love for all of them through reading this. Enjoy these quotes from throughout the book!
“It was the thief’s last prayer, perhaps also his first. He knocked once, sought once, asked once, dared everything, and found everything.”
“God is more eager to save us than we are to save ourselves”
“Only she who raised Christ can raise a Christian”
“Every joy demands that another be left untouched”
“He died of thirst in the desert of human hearts”
“Everyone is on the quest of God, and if the soul gives God a chance, God will win.”
“Doing implies the spending not of what we have, but of what we are.”
