I'm center-brained and I get bored easily. I worked a lot of jobs in construction, as a security guard, a motorcycle tech (I'm a certified for Honda and Yamaha), as a car technician, a property manager, and in the scuba industry. My favorite job was being an aviation electronics technician (AT) in the US Navy. (I guess my new favorite is writing). After a motorcycle accident left me paralyzed, the Navy said, "You're out of here," and medically retired me.
I moved back to Ohio, got married, had a son, and completed a bachelors in business management. I was always tired of the cold and the snow. It doesn't make it easy to get around when you're in a wheelchair. After years of trying to convince the wife to sell the house and travel, we bought a twenty-five foot toy hauler. I voided the warranty the day we brought it home by taking out one of the bunks and making and installing custom cabinets. Then we spent several winters traveling the Southwest, and eventually sold the house. We lived in the trailer full time for about two years and saw most of the US, except Kansas and Nebraska and New England. We'll get there.
Along the way, I tried my hand at a lot of action sports; skiing, skydiving, bungee jumping, motorcycle racing, ATV riding, and scuba diving. I love to dive, so much that we ended up settling in Hollywood, Florida. I try to dive at least once a week and I'm working on my technical diving certifications. I want to go to three hundred feet.

Evan Graver gets even better and better.

Ryan Weller steps from the last page of Dark Ship into the first paragraph of Dark Horse. And the main thing on his mind is the two crates of gold bars that went down with most of a shipload of weapons as the previous book, Dark Ship, was winding down.
He isn’t the only one who knows about the gold. The man who believes that the gold belongs to him as payment for the shipload of weapons he just lost is patiently waiting for Ryan to do the heavy lifting and salvage the gold, before handing Ryan over to the Mexican drug cartel that wants him captured and tortured to death. And a Haitian warlord / war-lady(?) wants the gold to help her impoverished Haitian citizens rebuild after that last killer hurricane.
Lots of diving scenes that make for a suspenseful narrative, a kidnapping, lots of shootouts, some unlikely alliances and subsequent betrayals, and Evan Graver just gets better and better.
Books #4, #5, and #6 (Dark Shadows, Dark Paradise, and Dark Fury) are combined for just $9.99 (Canadian) and I already have that “boxed set”, plus Dark Hunt, Dark Prey, and Dark Prey (already read and reviewed).

One less gunrunner

This exciting series continues to grab my attention and take my breath away. Whether it’s flying lead or an over eager tiger shark. Ryan Weller is taking out the bad guys, one by one. But it is personally frustrating that my body DEMANDS some sleep in each 24 hour period....

Outstanding

I have a strong suspicion that this book is based on a real life experience. The writing is just too detailed to be fiction. Very well done!!!!
