Tonight we party with our blades and bathe in the blood of the weaklings. In spite of the consequences, I shall cut their wings. In His pathetic name, I shall.
-Lucifer

I am Jude Thaddeus, God’s Wind, the Timekeeper, and Watcher of the Archangels. Nothing disturbs the wind but the wind itself. No harm shall befall the archangels, not on my watch.
-Jude

Busy collecting prayers, on top of watching over the archangels, it's another day for Jude Thaddeus to prove his perfection to Father God. He intends to uphold his impeccable record and become an archangel. Nothing must come between him and his desire.

Except…

After years of planning, Lucifer has discovered a means to kill his siblings, the archangels. It’s a perfect plan. One he’s sure Jude will not see coming. Neither will the archangels who've now become complacent, self-righteous, judgmental, and arrogant.

The battle begins when Ava, the woman chosen to veil the Sacred City of Ashbourne, cries out for help. Everyone has a plan, a need, or a desire, except they forget the one plan that matters most—God’s. The outcome is shocking, one that triggers a never-ending battle, and unveils a love story like no other.

"Somehow, love is more glorious when it's dead."

Lost Angels is the prequel to The Seer and it provides us with the backdrop of what is actually happening in the first book and why precisely, is it happening. It takes multiple POVs, that of Lucifer and that of Jude Thaddeus, the Keeper of Time, the Watcher of Archangels and a few other things that I really can't remember.

By the time this novella ends, there are a lot of questions in my mind. For example, I have no idea who Ava is, who Jo is (and how on earth does she reincarnate each time and end up realizing that she loved one archangel in the previous life and one in the current), what is so special about Ashbourne and...and... yeah, that's about it. So I don't get an answer to either of these things but it is nonetheless a pretty great read. At times, a little boring but not enough that I can't live with it. Haha!

The plot of the story is basically that Lucifer is trying to kill the seven archangels (who are also his brothers and sisters, by the way) and become God himself (because that is something he can do if he kills them and then himself with the sword that cut their wings) because he is angry at being banished from Eden. Sounds like someone has daddy issues, if you ask me, lol!

Anyway, this is Lucifer's plan. Now the Archangels are about to go and enjoy on a holiday when Lucifer captures Ava, who is responsible for ensuring that Ashburne be hidden. Why is it a human's duty, I have no idea. So well, they go to rescue her while Jude stands watch. He cannot enter Lucifer's abode and he is seriously worried if this will result in the fulfillment of the prophecy that is long overdue now - that the angels would be lost on earth. They are and this is one of the worst things that could have happened on a Watcher's watch. So there's that.

The writing style of the novella is pretty intact. There isn't much to discuss that way but it did bore me a little at times. I'm not saying it was because of the style, but merely because of the character whose point of view is used. Lucifer was a helluva lot irritating character and I just really, really wanted to hit him many a times. *face palm*

Overall, it was a good and decent read. Perhaps, something I would recommend to someone who likes shows like "The Vampire Diaries", "Supernatural" and so on.

When I first started reading it felt a bit awkward. I was not sure I was going to like it, but I kept reading. Everyone has their idea of angels. I sometimes have a hard time when authors make angels more human than angelic and wonder if they can pull it off to keep me reading. One of the few series that have hooked me like that involving angels is Nalini Singhs Guild Hunter series.

I kept reading. This story pulls you in. The world building is intricated and interesting. Once I started understanding the dynamics I wanted to know what happens next. It hooked me further in and kept me turning pages until the end.

The author has a nice writing voice and style. The world descriptions are imaginative and add to the story to build that epic thing you expect with heavenly realms and beings. It is a good mythological setup for the basics of the fictional world and how it functions.

I am excited to read the next book in this series that will be released in November. If it delivers like this one it is definitely worth the read. The characters were strong and believable for the story world with distinct personalities.

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion.

A STORY TO MAKE YOU THINK ABOUT TODAY’S PROBLEMS

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

A captivating story of how the Archangels are murdered and a Watcher angel and reincarnated people are to go on a journey to bring them back. There are some confusing parts, but the story is one worth reading and enjoying.

This was my first Tatenda Creed's book. This is the prequel of The Lost Archangels Series. This story is different than what I have read before. This is a great introduction to the Series. I love all about this story: the characters, the storyline, and the action. I can't wait for the next book in the Series. Gary Bennett did a great narration. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily written this review.

I was not sure what to expect when I started this book. I was completely taken by surprise by how good it was and how involved I became in the trials and tribulations of the Archangels, their Fallen brother and the humans they care about.
The world-building was detailed and intricate. The characters in this prequel were well-drawn, making it easy to feel empathy for them, or love them, or hate them, or anything in between. I found the writing a little formal to begin with but soon got into the swing of it and think that the style suited its lofty subject matter well, and seemed very fitting.
I was deeply immersed in the action from start to finish and I found it nigh on impossible to put the book down. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and look forward to the next book.

“Every word taken back loses its strength.”

As an ordained minister and a history major, of course this story hooked me almost before I opened it. Talk about knock your socks off potential! Completely original and completely different, it touches on a lot of Biblical mythology in a very intelligent rendition of angelic beings, both good and evil, the possiblity of theotokas and Lucifer, the Light Bearer.

And THIS is the prequel? Can hardly wait for the actual stories! Highly recommended 5/5

At first I didn't know what to think. I was confused by all the characters and what was going on and then I had one of those oh yeah, now I get it moments. Then I couldn't stop reading. It is a shirt book about 2 hours of reading time.
Lucifer is wanting to cut the wings of all the archangels, who are his brothers and sisters and wants to take over God and be God himself and rule the world. This mentions a love story but I really did not see it. I did like this story and it leaves you on a cliffhanger wanting to read the next book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed this as an ARC

Tatenda Creed is a new to me author that blew me away with this prequel. Her characters, whether celestial or human, reached inside and grabbed hold. The emotions and suspense pour from the pages. I'm a definite fangirl and can't wait to read each book in this series as it releases. Once i cracked it open, I couldn't put it down. If you love on the edge of your seat intrigue this is a must!

Watcher, Archangels, fallen angels, Goddess and of course Lucifer. What more in here? Well... betrayal, love, fight, loss, wicked plans and tears. Honestly it’s a sad book, even cruel at places. I liked it however. Since it’s a prequel then we can see preparation of the story that will be going in next book. Not completely sure where is it going, and it’s good as well. But I am more than ready to could read about Alexandra.

As a new author to me, I found myself being pulled into this magical world and being pleasantly surprised by the smooth writing style. The storyline is original, filled with angels, archangels, Lucifer, vivid world building and defined paranormal characters who love, plot, betray and fight. Wonderfully descriptive, engaging and entertaining and I am looking forward to the next books in The Lost Archangels Series. I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review

I received an ARC and this is my honest review. Can you imagine a world where the Archangels act like brothers and sisters and fight amongst themselves. Yet still willing to fight for each other. A place where God decided to teach them a lesson and makes them human. This story has it all. Well written with excellent characters you can believe in and want to read more about. I want to know more about Alex Wilde and her guardian angel Jude. An excellent start to a series that makes you want more.

I really enjoyed the book. It sets up a storyline that really hooks you in and makes you want to ream more. It is full of angels and demons and hints at all other types of paranormal to come.

It is based on the familiar story of Lucifer getting kicked out of heaven but goes in a very different direction in terms of his siblings. The book sets the stage for what is to come and it looks like an exciting series.

Kudos to Tatenda Creed! It is very rare for me to find a word weaver (a term of endearment for authors) that catches your interest from the beginning until you've read the last word of the book. Lost Angels (The Lost Archangels Book 0) ish such a find. The way she introduces us to the world of Archangels was fascinating. I will definitely recommend this book to my family and friends. I voluntarily reviewed this book. I can't wait for the next book in this series!

Angels?! I’m usually not that interested in angels because of all the different ways they are portrayed; each book is different. I found that while reading this book, I was very impatient and could hardly wait for the next part of the story

It has been quite some time that I've read or listened to a book where the main characters are all angels. I wouldn't usually pick up this genre of book and I must say that I've been pleasantly surprised by this prequel. So much so, that I plan to continue with the series. I was concerned at the beginning of the story as I found the angels' bickering rather childish and felt that the story could have moved a bit faster. However, Lucifer entered the picture with his unholy scheme, and the pace with the action increased enough to capture my attention. The Archangel 's watcher, Jude Thadeus, has had his hands full trying to keep the Archangels out of trouble but they've often ignored his warnings with dire consequences that have affected the current love of their lives. Lucifer, who has been thrown out of heaven by his Father, plots the ultimate revenge, despite the fact that his Mother has cared well for him and provided him with a beautiful piece of countryside. Everyone seems to have a plan, but they have all forgotten one key component. How will their Father react to all this chicanery, when he has been warning them about their behavior. The storyline in this prequel provides the reader/listener with clues to what lies ahead in the series. Paranormals, vampires, and of course Lucifer will continue to interfere with Jude Thadeus' progress in reuniting the Archangels. This is sure to be a very interesting series. My only negative comment is the prequel ends with a 'cliffhanger' which is one of my pet peeves since too many authors use this technique to force readers into buying sequels to obtain the end of a story. Since this novel is a prequel, I'm hoping that this will be the only cliffhanger utilized. For those who enjoy audiobooks, Gary Bennet, the narrator, provides a very good performance throughout this novel. He has a range of vocal characterizations that help the listener differentiate between the Angels which helps to visualize the novel as you listen. I'm looking forward to hearing more of his storytelling as the series continues.

I received a complementary copy of this audiobook at my request, from StoryOrigin in exchange for an honest review. I am not related nor friends with this author. The opinions expressed in this review are fully mine unless identified as that of another person.
