Anant Pai popularly known as Uncle Pai, was an Indian educationalist and creator of Indian comics, in particular the Amar Chitra Katha series in 1967, along with the India Book House publishers, and which retold traditional Indian folk tales, mythological stories, and biographies of historical characters. In 1980, he launched Tinkle, a children's anthology, which was started under Rang Rekha Features, India's first comic and cartoon syndicate, that lasted till 1998, with him as the Managing Director.

Today, Amar Chitra Katha sells about three million comic books a year, in English and more than 20 Indian languages, and has sold about 100 million copies since it inception in 1967 by Anant Pai, and in 2007 was taken over by ACK Media.

This book includes the following books: Shivaji, Tales of Shivaji, Tanaji. I have reviewed each book individually. The underlying theme of this collection (seems to me) to be how to be a good leader. The main lesson learned from this collection is that leaders have to be strong and flexible; responding to the problems that will inevitably require action.

Thanks to ACK for bringing history and culture so briefly but nicely. I intend to collect more volumes of ACK comics. Comics are significant to learn how the people looked, what beliefs they shared more effectively.
But in this particular book, I found more attempt was put on glorifying a hero even if disrespecting a religion. When a kid will read it, he or she will definitely begin to loathe his or her Muslim friends. I'm very much keen to know what ACK has done to prevent communalism.
