'Why couldn't anything in her life be easy? Why did it always feel like she was pushing a boulder uphill just to make it? God hadn't promised her easy days, but did it have to be this hard?
This is a new-to-me author, but she won't be for long. I love inspirational suspense and Lisa Phillips brings it here. Strong characters, great action and a good spiritual theme. What more could I want? Now I'm off to find and read more of her books. I'm a fan !
My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Murder Mix-up. This is book six in the Secret Service Agents Series. I have really enjoyed this series and I know you will too. This book is awesome! It is well written, action packed, and full of faith. You really need to get a copy.
Secret Service Agent Declan Stringer gets the call everyone hates to receive. His brother has been killed and he must come to identify the body. When he arrives he finds it's not his brother but a man with his Navy ID. He stays to investigate the murder with NCIS could this have something to do with his past? He must keep his secret safe but find out what is going on. He is shocked when he becomes a target for the killer.
NCIS Agent Portia Finch is in charge of the investigation. Since her office didn't contact Agent Sringer she is surprised by his arrival at the scene. What was a very attractive Secret Service Agent doing getting involved in her case. Why did they try to kill his brother? Who is out to kill him and why?
A journey of survival for these two agents. Each have their secrets and issues; can they work together? God has a plan for these two. God has a plan for you too, a good plan but not for evil. Give Him you heart and watch Him move in your life.
This is the first time I have read a book by this author but it wont be the last! I really enjoyed this book! It piqued my interest because I love anything about NCIS characters! The story line was very good and I loved the characters. There was a lot of action to keep me turning the pages quickly to find out how the story would develop and how it would end. Portia is the NCIS team leader and she is called to the scene of a murder but finds out that the victim is actually not the person whose ID is on him! That ID says it's the brother of a Secret Service agent, Declan Stringer and he immediately comes to identify the body, only to tell Portia and it's not his brother! However, the bullets start flying and they realize that the killer is not done. I really liked Portia and Declan. They both had a very interesting past which means they have to move past it! An exciting book!
Another great book in the Secret Service agents series. A man carrying a Secret Service agent's brother's navy ID is killed. Now the Secret Service agent and a NCIS agent must figure out why and who. ⠀ ⠀
