This morning I’m walking down that road again. But this time in the opposite direction. I’m in a really good mood. A week ago I was headed east with no idea who I was or where I was going. Today I’m headed west, toward the west bridge that crosses the river to the north. They say a man there is looking for me.
Well, they say that he’s looking for a man named Joshua, but everyone assumes that it must be me. I expect that it is. He says that he needs to give me something that he’s been looking after for a long time and he wants to be done with it. He says that it belongs to me.
I think he wants to give “the haunted woods” that border Paul’s farm near the village of Bonvale. It’s strange. For some reason I want to be the owner of the woods and I don’t know why. But a week ago I didn’t know my own name. I still don’t know where I came from or how I got here.
I do know that I have a place to live and three beautiful girls who love me. They were all “Nogud”, the untouchable women. What a lie. They are the most beautiful and gracious women alive. But until I discovered the truth, they were shunned and made to wear a hood and a tunic that covered them from head to toe and they weren’t allowed to have a mate or any real happiness. I changed that and I intend to change that for all of them, all of the Nogud.
This morning I’m going to find a man who’s looking for me. Maybe he knows where I came from.
When I get home, I’m going to spend some quality time with Raven, Lark, and Viola. They are all bright and funny and marvelously sexual. I’m looking forward to it.
This is the second book in my story. The Nogud Legacy, Book 2: The Wizard. I’m not really a wizard, but people say what they say.
Warning…or perhaps enticements: The story of The Nogud is filled with mysteries, humor, good friendships, a bit of martial arts, post-apocalyptic fantasy, robots, and later on in the series, horrible monsters… and a lot of sex and casual nudity. The culture where our hero lives has a tradition of having more than one mate, so that’s where the sex comes into it. His story doesn’t shy away from the graphic details of any of it. It’s an adventure story for mature adults. A vicarious romp with heroes, nymphs, and pixies. Maybe you will enjoy it. Writing it was certainly a lot of fun.
Still has my attention. While the explicit sex is interesting, I am intrigued by the main character as he continues to learn more about his world and his life before his wandering. Once again Ms. Foxworthy has me hooked and I really should have waited for the weekend to even start. Who needs sleep anyway?
Ok I'm sorry but these book are just kinda bad. Nobody is that trusting and naive. Let alone a whole community. I managed to get through this second book but no more. As far as the sex scenes. It's like they come out of an anatomy book or something. This author may have a bunch of books. But they are poorly written.
Honestly one of the more refreshing reads for me in a long time, I enjoy how the author has written the Nogud legacy and my only real complaint is wanting more ;)
Marilyn Foxworthy said it best - reading this book with the warning already assimilated is entirely your choice. This is the second of her books that I have read and I find them bawdy but entertaining. There is a sameness about the encounters that is creeping in - but bearing in mind that this about a lucky guy with a harem, that is understandable. A certain sense of humour is required to enjoy this book, and I am inclined to find book 3.
Always willing to review a good book. Not a description. As always Marilyn Foxworthy has potraid the women of the story with humor and grace, but most of all as thinking wonderful sexual beings. All her books are fun, exciting and often erotic If your living and breathing YOU will love it and enjoy the changes in yourself
This just seems to drag on endlessly, being filled with needless repetition of events already covered, and a somewhat immature writing style filled with needless chatter. I really struggled to finish the second book but will not be reading any more. This book could easily have been cut in half by reducing the overall long-winded writing style.
It eludes me,but I am not an author. I do know that I live vicariously through Joshua and that is enough for me. I would love to be able to contact Marilyn through email, can anyone help me?
I love the way the author ties her series of stories together. All with Warmth and humor. These are “romance” stories of a sort and that is not at all in my genre of reading. I enjoy the fantasy very much.
Great stories, filled with imagination. Bur far FAR too many mistakes. Marilyn explains the explicit sex at the beginning of every book. Recommend for those not offended by explicit sex.
I can’t say enough good things about this series. It has just the right mix of sensuality and character building. I am very grateful to the author for continuing a series finally.
