Thank god I’m no longer the Celebutant America loves to hate. Now my days are filled with motherhood, safe behind the protective walls of my sanctuary in paradise. The only thing missing is Blake. I’m engaged to marry a great girl who is devoted to me. I’m going back to paradise to reconnect with my best friends so they can share in my new life. If I’m honest, that’s not the only reason I’m here. I’ve never stopped loving Blake or remembering the way he touched me. I want him in my life, in my bed. I should be happy but I can’t forget Liesa and the love we shared. No one has ever made me feel what she did. He made his choice to walk away four years ago and even if I could trust he wouldn’t break my heart again, he’d never forgive me for not telling him about his daughter. I didn’t expect to see her again… or to fall so hard. She made her choice to let me leave four years ago. How can I trust her not to break my heart again?
USA Today best-selling author Megyn Ward lives on coffee, chocolate and more than the occasional glass of red wine. When she's not spending time with the hot, dirty-talking Alphas and the strong, capable women who love them who live in her head, she's busy chasing chickens (and kids), hanging laundry and burning dinner. Either way, she is almost always in the company of her eight dogs, her truest and most faithful companions, and her almost as faithful husband, Joe. Megyn is also the author of the award-winning Sabrina Vaughn thriller series, written under the name Maegan Beaumont.
This series was a disappointment. It was nice to see a bit of Kylie and Zach after they finally worked things out. This story of Blake snd Lauren/Leisa was mostly great, except just like the previous two books, it ends so abruptly. We never see Ellie and Blake as father/daughter. We never see Lauren get a job or have an art show. We never see Blake be a lawyer or a dad. We never actually see them in a relationship at all, just like K and Z. We don’t see them ever have a discussion about any of the stuff that happened. Super bummed. Could use a novella like 5/10 years in the future with both couples and Diana. All these little details thrown in throughout the book and then they just flop with no resolution or outcome.
This series was an amazing read by Megyn Ward. I enjoyed their (Kylie & Zach, Lauren & Blake) stories. Again I do wish there was a little more to their story after the fact. It was a great to see them get where they are but then what, it’s like it’s unfinished.
Blake & Lauren : I love Blake but he couldn’t figure out Ellie was his daughter when she looked just like him and the timeline with her age. This was the best out of the three books. I was hooked from page one waiting to see what happened next. This still wasn’t Megyn’s best work.
This one was enjoyable. I was waiting for Lauren and Blake. I wanted to see what would happen between these two.Not what i expected but it was indeed a great book from beginning to end. Megyn wrote another amazing series.
