Once upon a time there were three evil princes and one innocent slave girl Every one of those princes was more beautiful and charming then the next and every one of them promised that someday, in some way, they would make her feel like their princess. On the condition that it was understood that she'd never be anything more than their slave. Their possession.
But that little girl didn't want to be a princess and she didn't want to belong to anybody but herself She just wanted to be free. And so she fought herself free of the evil princes' grasp only to end up as more than a princess- but as a queen.
Those princes did not stop hunting her though and before she knew it, the litle slave girl come queen began to wonder if the only way to defeat evil was to become the hunter. Even if that meant shelving her innocence and embracing the evil within.
S.K Munt is an author and playwright from north Queensland, Australia. She mostly writes adult paranormal fantasies, but loves to take the sweetness, hope and innocence that makes YA so beguiling, and give it an adult twist. You could say that she has a 'Pan' complex as far as happy endings go.
Samantha has 4 children, and is happily married to her first love. So far she has penned thirty-two novels, and five plays. In her spare time, she can be found at rehearsals for her local theatre groups, surfing, reading or cleaning compulsively.
I immensely enjoyed every page of this book. I love how Larkin evolved to be a strong, fearless and genuinely forgiving Queen. I love Sam’s character and his funny comic relief. And I am starting to adore Karol even more. I will need to read book 7 and hoping I get a HEA!
One of the few series I know that gets better and better as it wears on. Unlike with some other series, the later books are not afterthoughts, milking an idea that has been explored enough in the earlier books. The Eden Chronicles are about as well-planned and staffed as Harry Potter (just a bit steamier). Now THAT is a compliment that I don't give easily.
