Describes the activities of three young men who risked their lives to participate in the Freedom Marches and Civil Rights Movement of the early 1960's.
A beautiful yet short story about an important event with some trailblazing folks.
These 3 men are brave and courageous for their actions in the fight for racial equality. Some of the things they did and experienced is frightful but important in the progression for equality. I do wish the book was longer and was written with more as a memoir than accounts of these specific event. It almost reads like someone had to do a book report on it, rather than a tangible accounts from the people who experienced it (if still alive.)
Still, these are the stories that are necessary for where we were and why we are here in this country.
