On board The Salvation, two by two won’t be quite what Noah had in mind.
A match made in… outer space.
When things on board The Salvation take a turn for the strange, witch Penny is thrust into the wacky world of matchmaking. Without the meddling of the space station’s owner, it should have all been so easy.
But it all goes wrong when Penny is ordered to pair The Salvation’s passengers by species. Weres with weres, vamps with vamps, witches with wizards… it’s never going to be received well. Particularly with Penny’s long-time friendship with a vampire.
Is she willing to compromise all of her morals in return for her safety, and what should she do with her best friend—the kind of fanged best friend who makes her feel safe and loved…and jealous?
From a magical land of castles and kings (Okay, it’s England), Gina doesn’t feel as old as she looks, owns three children who can’t be tamed, and writes in spare – usually stolen – time. She sometimes bakes—not always with quite the desired results, and has found the only solution to keeping the characters in her head quiet is to placate them with lots of other lovely books and worlds. She has been published by Decadent Publishing, who currently have two of her books, both of which are romance titles – “Her Dollmaker’s Desire” and “Her Undercover Christmas”.
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Wynn and I have mixed feelings about the book. Great concept for a book, but the beginning was confusing as hell. I didn't really engage and started to enjoy the book until about half-way through.
Penny embarks on a matchmaking service when she fails at the sex therapist job. But there is just one catch, like have to be paired with like according to the bar owner and founder of the space ship, Gerald (who also takes on the personalities of Geraldine and Hazel). Encouraged by her vampire friend, Vincent she tries to make a go of matchmaking. It's harder than she thought because she doesn't like the idea of taking the passenger's free will away to choose, but it is mandated by Gerald. They even have two of the same species on board to make pairing "natural". When Vincent has a surprise of his own things are going to get complicated.
Normally I love paranormal romance but I couldn't really get into this book until it was almost over. But once I got into it, it was good and fast-paced. I wish all of the whole book had been like the ending.
