The Aros has a debt to pay, and the cost is eternity. May Wilson should have found it suspicious when she was offered a full scholarship to Goodwell College. After all, she barely passed high school. But what shocked her more was that her best friend Abby turned down an IV league to attend Goodwell College. During Orientation weekend, May and Abby discover that others like themselves have been drawn to this small Christian college. When they figure out why, a war begins.
I was born and raised in a small town in Boston, Massachusetts. My love of romance movies greatly influences my work in writing paranormal, science-fiction, dystopian and contemporary romances filled with action and adventure. In my free time I enjoy singing karaoke, watching movies, and playing with my cat Charlie.
To quote a few characters from a few different books, "What fresh hell is this?" Don't know but this is terrible. I took a chance on this book because I read Esperanza and liked it. Bad decision!
I couldn't tell what was going on from the very beginning. The book reads like a rough draft for a video game. The characters are one dimensional, the plot (is there one?) is confusing and the storyline is disjointed. There's a feeling of being dropped in the middle of this tale and the reader knows nothing of what's going on. Forget about world building, it doesn't exist. The characters and situations make no sense. A bunch of college kids have powers. We don't know where the powers came from or why. Names like supporters, prodigies, etc are dropped often but the author never defines or explains in any depth. I could go on and on but I don't feel like typing that much.
