I picked this up from the local library just because of the simple cover and the fact that I flipped through it quickly before deciding to borrow it and i loved how the illustrations goes together with the words and poems. Its a little tumblr-ish, if I really needed to put a word to the book.
But this is supposed to be like a side spin to Gabby Tye's trilogy runhideseek, so I went and borrow the e-book today cos I was curious after this read.
So I supposed its good enough that I want to check out her trilogy. Dont know what to expect from a young writer but there is nothing to lose supporting local young writers and venturing a little out of my usual book genre.
My second time reading this book after quite a long time. It hit different as a kid but after I grew up, I can understand it but not relate to it. It gave me a really nostalgic feeling, and also an understanding of the character better. I highly recommend this series, and if you’re reading the series, you should read this book as well. Not necessary to understand the story, but it’s a really cute addition.
i still have a copy of this book. it's intriguing and pretty. i used to love it, but i'm sure that if i were to buy it now, i wouldn't enjoy it as much as i did when i first bought it.
