I am an Italian consultant, entrepreneur & writer. After having founded a couple of IT companies and practiced agile software development, I moved on as a full-time freelance agile coach, coaching teams in Italy, Germany, France, and the UK.

During a new entrepreneurial adventure in ideato, I joined the eBay Italia team to set their agile process up. In 2015 I went back to freelancing, caring a lot about negotiation, product development, and organizations' governance.

As a writer, I have published a couple of nerd-ish books on agile coding practices and "Extreme Contracts: knowledge work from negotiation to collaboration."

I am a frequent public speaker in international conferences and events about how working is changing in knowledge work based industry and organizations management.

This book changed the way I think about contracts and negotiation

I'm new to the knowledge work field as a freelancer, since I've been employed most of my work life.
As it's natural I looked at the "industry standard" way of doing things, but it didn't click with me.

I first heard about Extreme Contracts at a conference, and I remember that I was intrigued. Then I bought the book, and I'm really glad I did.

I've already applied the suggestions to my own company, trying to propose more ethical and value-based contracts to my clients.

All the citation and references are useful too and never out of place.

I really enjoyed also the real life stories as they give a lot more context to the more abstract chapters about negotiation.
