A noise in the night becomes stranger and more frightening, as a little bear's pleas for his dad grow more and more desperate. Soon, he can't be heard over the noise. Forced to brave the hallway alone, the little bear goes in search of his father. The strange noise continues grow louder and louder as he nears the door to his parents room He turns the knob only to find...maybe that noise isn't so scary after all.
Another kids book pulled off the never ending book shelf. We own books we didn't know about. This is a great pop up book where the pop ups are larger than life. They're huge and very appealing for Indy, master 4 and master of zero attention span. Little bear hears very loud and real noises that match up with the pop ups. An elephant, a gorilla, a huuuuge lion. Why isn't dad saving scared little bear when he calls out many times? Could daddy be part of the problem! These themes of sleep time are common I've found. Excellent pop ups for inquisitive youngsters that are so big every child will be enamoured. Indy liked this book and that's what it's all about.
This "Not-Too-Scary Pop-up Book" served as a great attention grabber. Baby bear is sound asleep when he awakes to RRRAAAGH! WHEEE! WRAARRGH! WHEEE! Each page shows a different possibility of what scary animal could be making that noise and each page shows baby bear calling for dad in a little bit louder voice. Finally baby bear climbs out of bed and goes to dad's room, only to find the noise is dad's snoring!
Little bear is so scared that there might be a monster in his room. He imagines the scariest ones and when his father can't hear him calling "Dad", he creeps out of bed to find him. He learns that the scary noise he's hearing isn't a monster at all, but his own dad snoring. The pages on this book pop out with 3D scary monsters...of course, they are just scary enough to not be too scary.
This is a great book for children who are more into suspense . It has great pop us I believe children would love. This book is awesome and not to scary for younger children . I would recommend this book to a kindergarten classroom because I believe that age group is old enough where it won't be to scary for them but keep their interest the entire time.
