MY REVIEW:
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. There is a wide variety of stories here, and all of them are fun and creepy reads.

This collection includes the stories:
“The Colony”
“Good Morning, Beautiful”
“In Between the Dry-Heaves”
“Swells”
“The Proposition”
“Coke”
“Incomprehensible”
“Mile High Club”
“It Hurts So Fucking Good”
“The Devil’s in the Details”
“Sheldon’s Complex”
“Wheels On The Bus Go Round”
“Why Am I Still Jealous?”
“Tunnel Junkies”
“Tunnel Junkies - Part Two”
“Evil Within The Institution”
“Vela Has A Gift For The World”
“Sky Turns Red”
“Tundra”
“Show Me What You Really Are”
“Danny the Daredevil”
“All At Someone Else’s Expense”
“Danger: Strong Undertow”
“Let The Evil In”
“Fear The Automated Workforce”

McGregor does suspense well, and their writing is concise and a pleasure to read. My favorite tales were “Tunnel Junkies”, “Danny the Daredevil”, and “Danger: Strong Undertow”.

“Tunnel Junkies”, in particular, stuck with me. It’s a well-done mash-up of sci-fi and horror. Even though the story wraps up well, I found myself wanting to know more.

As an avid NoSleep fan, I wasn’t a stranger to McGregor’s work. I was excited to discover they’d compiled a collection of their own outside of an anthology. I hope to read more of McGregor’s work in the future.

This is Mister McGregor's first collection on his own, and I am happy to be reviewing it. I previously read a story by him in the collection Love, Death, and Other Inconveniences and knew I'd be interested in more. Devil's in the Details contains a solid twenty-five tales and clocks in at about three hundred-fifty pages, which is pretty significant for a new author. I realize Mister McGregor was known beforehand for his work on Reddit's NoSleep forum, but for me this was all new. Obviously, not every story was a home-run; some had very abrupt endings or went on a tad too long for their own good. Others were rehashing of popular modern day urban legends. A majority, however, were original, fun, and creepy. I'd suggest giving Mister McGregor a try if you're a fan of anything else Tobias Wade and Haunted House Publishing has put out. It's a fun read with plenty of twisty little tales and a price tag that won't break any budgets.

Don't let the title mislead you; this is NOT a collection of satanic themed stories (to my relief). Best categorized as a mix of sci-fi and suspense stories, a few of which have a Lovecraftian flavor.

As with any collection of short stories, there are hits and misses but this is overall a nice group of tales.

The book lived up to it's title

This was a great anthology that got my attention from the first story. I was happy with the collection apart from two or three stories that I read before in other anthologies. A must read for thriller and horror fans.

This is a odd one - it was recommended to me by friends in the horror community, and I might have had too high expectations to it or something, but truth is that I was bored to tears. I feel like I should mention that there are two stories which are actually alright, one is actually good (the story that named the book). Bottom line is that I really wanted to like this, and I just didn't. I have to check out some more stuff from this author to make up my mind, I mean it could be that it just didn't really live up to the hype. But none the less then i'd not recommend it.
