In 1952, David Hobbs is a wealthy charismatic psychopath. He’s also a self-proclaimed hypnotherapist for friends and coworkers. He’s invited a few of them for a weekend getaway at his two-hundred-year-old Massachusetts farmhouse. They arrive in the middle of a raging snowstorm, his guests unaware that their host is a more menacing threat to their lives than the unusual weather.

While under hypnosis during therapy sessions with him, each of Hobbs’ guests reveals an unpunished misdeed from their past that has caused someone’s death. Hobbs intends to dispense justice himself by killing them, and burying their bodies in the abandoned ice pit in the old farmhouse cellar.

Of particular interest to Hobbs is the army veteran who he believes is the reincarnation of the man who murdered him in his former life as an officer in Napoleon’s army. After discovering an old French cavalry officer’s saber in his attic, Hobbs makes plans to kill his murderer in a special way this weekend...
