Alexa Whitewolf is a fiction writer, newspaper columnist of daily issues and author of the critically acclaimed Moonlight Rogues shifter series.
Alexa has been a lifelong writer and first began creating other worlds and characters at the ripe age of 12. Growing up in the Transylvania region surrounded by epic mountains and a never ending stream of legends and stories was bound to create an overactive imagination. This shines through Ms. Whitewolf’s writing by creating worlds filled with unique folklore, life wisdom and plenty of furry creatures.
An avid traveler, Alexa writes under a penname and spends her days between an office job and writing, in Canada’s capital when she’s not flying somewhere with lush landscapes and plenty of hiking trails.
Her series focus on strong heroines, kind yet sexy men, fights of good and evil and the never-ending learning curve of humanity’s strong – and weak – points. Romanian folklore is intertwined with her writing, more notably in her shifter romance series, the Moonlight Rogues. Her other series draw on world mythology, such as the Avalon myth and Arthurian legend (the Avalon Chronicles) and Ancient Egypt (The Sage’s Legacy).

Dom was drawn to Lucrezia from the moment she stepped into the auto repair shop in tiny Rockland Creek. Lucrezia, the new receptionist in the shop is a feisty young woman who has had a difficult life. She also has the hots for Lucas, the literal Leader of the Pack, the alpha and Dom is his second.
Lucrezia sees Dom has a good friend, probably her closest one, so when Dom offers to pretend to be her boyfriend under the guise of making Lucas take notice of her, he has his own motives, he wants the girl, the girl his alpha has called off-limits. Can Dom resist the command of his alpha? Should he?
There is more to Dom than meets the eye and when a rival pack invades their land, Dom is about to discover who he is and who he was meant to be, will it include Lucrezia by his side? Fate knows best and the chemistry is there, but can a wolf and a human really become mates? Will the Reapers allow it or will their dark agenda threaten Lucrezia’s very existence?
FIRST TO FALL is Alexa Whitewolf’s latest paranormal romance with just enough tension to make for some easy reading without an overbearing cast of darkness! Wolf will stand against wolf, pack bonds will be strained, but the heart knows what the heart wants…
Wonderful characters, none over-the-top, but almost easy going until the going gets tough and then all bets are off! A nice touch of romance, strong friendships that can be counted on and secrets revealed that could change the balance of life in Rockland Creek! Will the wolf get his girl? Dual POVs add dimension and personality to each page!
A fabulous start to a series that is sure to be a hit in the paranormal world!

First to Fall is my second Alexa Whitewolf novel, and it has me super eager for the rest of the Moonlight Rogues series. From the moment I saw friends reviewing this book, I knew I was in for a good time – what I did not expect was to devour this in a single sitting, followed by an existential crisis when my Kindle ran out of battery before I could start book two. To say this hooked me good is putting it lightly.
As a fan of paranormal romance, I’m always looking for the books that bring us something new. Alexa Whitewolf brings us the something new. First to Fall introduces us to a shifter world with countless layers, one that takes mythology and folklore and creates something more than the usual shifter stories offer. In fact, this goes above and beyond what I’d expected. There are so many layers to the mythology, so many things introduced, to the point where I did not believe any more could be added – only to be surprised when I had another shock.
To put it bluntly: First to Fall is one of the most refreshing shifter books I have read. It takes something well-known and adds a unique twist to it, ensuring you will be addicted throughout.
Fortunately, it’s more than just the wonderful paranormal world that grabs you with this one. The characters are also wonderful, and their stories are interesting. You’re pulled in on many fronts, all the different aspects coming together to make a wonderful read. Add in all the little snippets that promise great things with the future books, and you will be left in desperate need of book two.
Without a doubt, First to Fall promises great things for the rest of the Moonlight Rogues series.
🖤🐺🖤🐺🖤 I was reading over the summary of the book before writing this review. The summary says it all, there’s not much more I can say about the story itself. But I will say, this is one of the best werewolf books I’ve ever read. Alexa Whitewolf was born in Romania and she grew up in the Transylvania region surrounded by epic mountains and a never ending stream of legends and stories. So between the legends and stories she grew up with and a very active imagination, you can see how she came up with the creation of First To Fall where Dominic came from Transylvania and the legends followed him.
I love Dominic (Dom) and Lucrezia (Luz)...they are such an awesome couple. Luz is a bit of a firecracker!! You cannot help but fall in love with Dom and Luz. The others in the pack: Lucas (pack leader), Tristan, and Finn are interesting and have there own story and I hope as the series goes on we get to learn about each pack member and see them get their mate. There’s so much I’d love to talk about, but I will give too much away. But you will love this story, it’s full of romance (of course), werewolves (duh), surprises, twists and turns, so much suspense!! It’s not just some romantic werewolf book, it’s very exciting!! There’s battles and people get hurt. So much happens! I was up late at night finishing it, because I couldn’t put it down!! I highly recommend this one guys!! 5++ Stars!!!
TLDR: Really liked that this was a different take on Werewolf Romance. Love that the author pulled together different werewolf folk lore.
Check this out if you’re looking for: - a different take on werewolves - A heroine who’s not about to roll over and take everyone’s crap - Glowing Godmothers - A chance at redemption for the condemned - Steamy love scenes (but really - is there another kind?
I really liked that this book didn’t mess around with a love triangle. While it hinted at the idea, it was shut down pretty quickly - which made me happy since I struggle with feeling sympathy for a wishy washy heroine who strings along two guys.
I have a lot of questions about the rest of the packmates and who they end up with - so I definitely think I will come back to this series in the future!
A Steamy & Dangerous Werewolf Love Triangle With A Lethal Bite! Overview: Lucretia has eyes for pack leader, Lucas, but it’s his renegade Beta, Dominic, who feels an undeniable compulsion to be with the former runaway. When Dom suggests he start dating Lucretia to help her make Lucas jealous, more than one heart is set up to be broken. Maybe a brewing war along the pack’s border will help Lucretia find true love.
“First to Fall”, Author Alexa Whitewolf’s first chapter in the Moonlight Rogues Series, introduces Paranormal Romance fans to a tense, fast-paced, and gritty world of pack-life as seen through the eyes of four sexy and dynamic male werewolves and the young woman whom they have taken into their protection. Through the eyes of Lucretia (Luz, for short), a human who, at first, has no clue about the pack members true werewolf natures, we get to know four highly charged, vastly appealing, intense, and irresistible young men who come from a diverse set of international backgrounds.
An unusual rivalry and suspenseful love triangle develops when Luz becomes smitten with her benefactor—the pack's Alpha, Lucas. Believing that he can win Lucretia's love by demonstrating to her that the Alpha cannot possibly be the romantic partner she's looking for, Dom formulates an agreement with Luz to force Lucas’ jealousy with a pretend romance. It's at this point in the story that Author Whitewolf introduces a major danger factor into the plotline and begins to show her expertise at creating a twisted and edgy paranormal romance that will result in more than one individual getting gravely bitten.
The tense and chilling rivalry that Whitewolf conjures up between Alpha Lucas and his Beta, Dom, could not come at a worse time—Just as an all-out war breaks out against a rival pack trespassing on their border. Things escalate when both the rival pack leader and Lucretia’s ex-boyfriend threaten her safety, setting Lucas’ pack on high alert and causing mayhem among its members. The challenge for the author to keep the pack’s true identities hidden from Lucretia wanes as the plotline moves forward, but Whitewolf scores big on releasing their secret at just the right moment, causing panic and mayhem for everyone involved.
“First to Fall” is a steamy paranormal romance with bite. Readers will enjoy the riveting but sometimes comical interplay between Dom and Lucretia as they parade their newfound romantic relationship before her concerned patron, Lucas. Drawing heavily on folklore and influences from various international cultures to explain the contributing characters' backgrounds in this tale, Whitewolf weaves together a story that contrasts a sexy yet almost comedic love story with the threat of a vicious pack war. I highly recommend this novel for werewolf fantasy fans and paranormal romance readers ages 17 and up.
I have to admit, I see so many werewolf books I tend to avoid them but decided to give this one a chance and boy am I glad I did.
This book follows Lucrezia and Dom. There are several other big characters but you wont follow their point of view. Atleast in book 1. I loved how strong of a character Luz is. She didnt take anything from anyone and it worked so well. Most female characters in books it just doesn't flow, but this story it was done right. As for Dom, swoon. Such a sweetheart with so much bottled within. I enjoyed reading his parts the most and I wanted to jump into the pages and hug him on multiple encounters.
If you are looking for werewolves done right, this is your book. Get ready for emotional turmoil, romance, brotherhood, friendship, and of course a whole lot of paranormal, get ready for a long but fulfilling ride!
This was such a FUN read! Hear me out; Chestnut Springs meets Twilight. You have the coziness of a small town where all the shops have cute names, and everyone knows each other as well as werewolves and romance!
In "First To Fall" we follow the pov of our main characters Luz and Dominic. Luz has been pining after her closed off boss Lucas, and Dominic has been swooning over Luz. When Dominic offers to help her catch Lucas's attention by "fake dating" Luz hesitantly agrees. Dominic wants to prove that Lucas is NOT the man for her, but rather himself. There have also been weird animal attacks within the town, and strange wolves lurking about. Lucas, Dominic, and the pack are determined to uncover who is behind these brutal attacks.
GUYS this was so fun. This is why I love kindle unlimited, because I stumble upon gems such as this. This had everything. Fake dating, mystery, rivalry, I ATE this up. It was cheesy, fun, and quick. Definitely a nice break from some hard-hitting emotional reads.
I will definitely be reading more in this series! ❤️
ONE THRILLING EXTRAVAGANZA!!! Hatching hellhounds! Alexa slides a live round in the chamber, locked and loaded for bear, revving this baby up, letting loose and breaking it down, fusing this little gem together piece by piece flawlessly. Lines blur and boundaries crossed, limitations are stretched and bent, flinging this bad boy forward, kicking it into overdrive, slamming it into a tailspin with an intoxicating culmination. Anarchy runs rampant and havoc is rife, rousting the drama, intrigue, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a double dose of secrets while dodging calamity, you have one mind-blowing masterpiece. One action packed, hard hitting, pulse racing, heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, page flipping bombshell, twirling hotter than a flaming inferno and more explosive than dynamite. Meting out incredibly, well rounded scenario's that punch dead center, ramping up the anticipation and adrenaline with such intensity and precision, thrusting this gem to a whole new level. The attraction and chemistry is intense, high octane and combustible. The characters are realistic, intriguing and authentic with depth and qualities that add just enough flaws for diversity. The scenes are so vividly detailed and descriptive it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Fantastic job Alexa, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
Yey I was right. This had bad-ass werewolves and brutal fights but also sweet moments. It was exactly what I wanted from this book!
I loved both Luz and Dom a lot from the start. Luz is a sweet human but as bad-ass and fierce as the werewolves and Dom was such a gentleman, I couldn't help but love him and he is a werewolf so, you know I love them. The plot was very interesting and unique. The werewolves were so well done and this kept me intrigued the whole time. I was totally hooked, I read this in two sittings, I just didn't want to stop reading.
The romance was so sweet. I was smiling a lot, love that! Luz starting to feel more for Dom happened much faster than I thought it would but I was totally fine with it as they were friends before. And although this starts with her having a crush for another guy, it didn't matter to me because it kinda wasn't real. It was the Alpha connection she felt.
Also Luz had that mate connection with Dom's wolf. She also somehow simply felt safe with him in spite of everything she had to go through in the past and they just had chemistry, it felt so right immediately. I love when that happens in books! And I just loved them together.
I really loved the writing. Everything was written so well, especially the fights and whatnot, and there were some really beautifully written moments that absolutely warmed my heart.
All in all, I'm so happy I discovered this book, I will definitely continue the series someday in the future because I always search for good werewolf stories like this one!
"I love you, Dominic Konstantin, and will go wherever you go. The only thing I fear in this new world is losing you."
When the games become real, all bets are off in love and war... Dominic I've been staring at Luz for who knows how long. Hell, all of last year. But something in her calls to me as surely as the full moon. Unfortunately, she only has eyes for Lucas. So call me a sucker for punishment, but I'm going to help her. if she wants to draw the alpha's attention, what better way than dating his second in command? Even if it is fake. Should be easy as pie... Then the weird killings start in town, and the Reapers make my job harder. Looks like I’m gonna need all the Romanian courage I can muster to see this to the end - if I survive it. Lucrezia Something about Lucas changed, and lately it's all I can do to stop panting after him. Considering the past I’ve run away from, that’s saying something. Then Dominic comes with this crazy idea: pretend to be his girlfriend, to make Lucas realize he's got the hots for me. And the plan almost works... Until I start falling for the wrong guy. Oh, and somewhere in there, find out I live in a town ruled by werewolves. And some of them want me dead. Why can't life ever be simple?
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Okay, let me be completely honest here. Alexa, if you're reading this, stop now. You're wonderful and my opinion doesn't matter.
This book was poorly written, full of typos and errors, and maybe had translation issues? It's an intersting concept for the world/plot, but it feels like it's doing too much. Way too much. The main female, Luz, also felt a little flat as a character. I was really digging her in the beginning, but by the end she was only defined by her love for the mmc. Also, why doesn't she want to be a wolf? And girl, talking about how you can't move in with your "boyfriend" being too soon because you just started dating, when he told you 'wolves mate for life, if we do this you're mine forever' and YOU DID IT.
Okay, okay sorry. It's a total trash book, but I really enjoyed it. Let me clarify. Trashy werewolf novels are my comfort reads. If they're full of errors, I'm going to say that and then enjoy ever minute of it. This is who I am. :)
I chose this book because I was in a reading slump and because it was on a list of "he falls first" werewolf books. It was exactly what I needed. ♥

Enjoyable story, realistic characters and group dynamics, romance
As this story progresses, interesting dynamics occur among four men/werewolves who have recently chosen to support and protect each other as a pack. Their interactions slowly reveal something of their temperaments, flavored by bits of their native languages (English, Romanian, Italian and Portuguese). Their commitment, assumptions, misunderstandings, dealings with unexpected murders, and spoken and telepathic communications form the wolf pack plot. The romance between one of the men and the young receptionist interweaves with the wolf pack plot and finally joins it. The romance is the sweet story (told from within Dom's and Luz's minds) of two people in love with each other but afraid to reveal their feelings for fear of loosing the chance of being loved by each other. After trial and error, risk-taking, and problems with other packs, Dom and Luz communicate clearly. Each chapter begins with a wonderful quote. (Thank you, Alexa!) Now I'm off to read book 2 in the series...
Wowie!! First to Fall was probably the first werewolf related novel that I have read (yes, I haven't read Twilight and I'm not planning to)! It may have been a somewhat short story considering the ebook platform, but that didn't stop the story from being super interesting and juicy. Of course, anyone would start fangirling at the mention of hot werewolf guys surrounding a girl (some would even be jelly!). I became especially fond of the main girl lead, Luz, since she was the toughest of the gang and wouldn't let herself be kept in the dark with all the wolf secrets surrounding her canine friends. Since the beginning of the novel, I was supportive of Dom's crush on Luz and was overly happy when finally ended up together at the end. They're super cute! And boy the friendship between the five of them was something to be proud of! It was an easy read and I couldn't stop myself from flipping pages! Of course, I'm still not used to cheesy werewolf romances, but I think I made the right choice starting with this book!

I received this book from Voracious Readers for an honest review. This was a great introduction to this world. I enjoyed the story and found the characters intriguing. I know this is the first of a series and so I look forward to seeing further development of the guys as the story moves forward. However, the story I most look forward to is Lucas. I know his story is coming eventually. Back to this story. I really like how Luz was a strong independent woman. I also enjoyed seeing Luz do what she wanted regardless of what she was told. She was there for her man no matter what. Her strength is admirable. I loved/hated the cliffhanger ending and look forward to the next book in the series.
This book is both a link to my heritage and me wandering in unknown territory with the werewolves. Mythical, alpha beings, they’re the stuff of legends and lost folklore... And that’s what I tried to bring to this new series. Everything is set in old Transylvanian folklore, from the heroes to the villains and in between :) Enjoy & I hope this ride into something new is as thrilling for you as it was for me writing it!
Werewolf Adventure and Romance Share Equal Limelight
The story achieves a great balance between a budding romance and an overarching story based on werewolves and Romanian folklore. The author does a nice job of weaving the potentially unfamiliar details of Romanian folklore into the overall world she creates.
The core of the story is an oddball wolf pack of four individuals who wouldn’t fit well into a normal pack. This tells the overall story as well as the story of the first to fall - in love with Luz. Luz is a normal human who is pulled into their world.
An enjoyable story that sets the stage for the remaining three to find their mates in the next three books in the series.
I really did love this book! I have to get the second. This book took me with it through all of it. I found myself having to know. I think it read well, loved the quotes at the start of the chapters. I also liked I got two points of view all through. This is a wolf book but it's so much more to I was enchanted reading it. I think most people who like supernatural would love it.
First to Fall: A Werewolf Shifter Romance Suspense (Moonlight Rogues Book 1) by Alexa Whitewolf is a wonderful story that I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one in this wonderful start to a brand new series that I have fallen in love with. I highly recommend it to everyone who loves reading about shifters.
Yep!!! Definitely in love with this book!! OMG, sexy werewolves and so much more. This was a great story and it really pulled me in from the start! I absolutely adored Luz and Dominic. What a great couple! And yes, there is plenty of steam as well as a good mystery and, did I mention, WEREWOLVES!!! You definitely want to get a copy of this book!!!!
I enjoyed this PNR, it has all the elements you want from a werewolf romance, but then a bit more. Luz is a strong character and not at all a pushover. Not all werewolves are the same and this book is not about meeting your mate and just swooning off into the sunset. Dom loves Luz from afar until he sees a chance to get closer to her. Luz ran from her past and wants to get closer to Lucas. Dom's werewolf past is intriguing and adds a lot of extra werewolf history to the story. Enjoyable story, if you like werewolf romances then you won't be disappointed. I received a complementary copy of this book through Voracious Readers Only in exchange for an honest review.
Will she fall for one or all four? Luz moved to this town to get away from an ex-boyfriend who attacked her. She loves working in the office of the auto body shop, and the four guys that work there are hot also. But when she starts dating Dom, she finds out they are werewolves, and rival packs are creating problems in the town. Their pack of four needs to find out what is going on and stop it. But then they find out Dom, who was adopted, is related to the pack who is killing and eating hearts. Can four werewolves and one human stop a large crazy pack? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
I'm really into werewolves, and all sorts of paranormals, but I also require the stories I choose to have strong characters and a cracking good plot and storyline, and I found both requirements in this book. Really enjoyed reading this book, and look forward to the next installment.
I liked this story. It was a story with mystery and action with the paranormal mixed together. I was hooked from the beginning and found it hard to put down. The characters were a hoot and I loved how secrets are revealed. The scenes and interactions between characters was fun to read. Just a good story.
