This was another iffy one for me in the Fight It Out series. I did enjoy reading it and it had me captivated trying to find out all the secrets from Charlie's family, yet I couldn't help but feel like I was missing something. Maybe because the relationship between Charlie and Brooks wasn't heavily focused on. And, same as the previous book, sometimes the secrets all became a little too jumbled and hard to believe. I can say that the author certainly has my attention though and I'm already itching to move on to the next book in the series.

Books and more books that has been my life the last couple of years and I wouldn't change a thing.
I've read so many that I can't possibly tell you my favorite. Of course that I have a genre that I absolutely love but I'm open to almost every one. Almost... Lol
Terra Kelly has been a constant in my reading life and her books held me hostage just by reading the first chapter. Her writing is simple yet powerful, super engaging and detailed. Just grab her books and see for yourself.
Tap Out is her latest release and it's the second book from the Fight It Out MMA series. This new book tells the stories of Charlie and Brooks.
But despite the fact that this book is a standalone I totally advise you to read Uppercut first. You need to know the beginning.
Charlie is an MMA fighter that loves her career. This story is her life and with her best friend by her side she wants to succeed just like her. Her childooh wasn't easy but instead of talking about it, she just wants to forget but sometimes the past can bite us in the arse...
Brooks and his brothers are the owners of Fight It Out Gym and they dedicated their life's training. When two girls entered this gym they couldn't imagine the turn their lifes would take.
This book was amazing. It's fantastic the way this lady can create these stories.
Amazing plot, very well written, super engaging and detailed. The suspense were killing me in every chapter and I couldn't put the book down. When I finished one chapter I just needed to start the next one because questions were popping up like popcorns.
This book presented us with love, friendship, loyalty, dreams as well as drama, crime, madness and...
It was amazing to have news from Lily and Julian and I can't wait to have the next book.
Terra... Did I saw it correctly? You're going to write an M... Book? Oh boy. I can't wait.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Tap Out (Fight It Our MMA series, Book 2)

If you read book one you would have met childhood best friends Charlie and Lilly. We read about Charlie in Lilly's book. This is Charlie's story a MMA fighter in training to become the next champion in the AFC trains with trainer Brooks Moore (Hollywood) - Champion MMA fighter right by her side.

A perfect addition to this suspenseful MMA series. Charlie's sexy romance is entwined with betrayal, fighting, intrigue, mystery, secrets and plenty of twists braided throughout the novel. Everything flows through perfectly from the beginning to the end. Characters are scriptural with keenness. Charlie & Brooks chemistry is off the charts.

Looking forward to reading book 3 in this suspenseful MMA sports series. I love that these books are featuring female MMA fighters.

I received an advance copy of this book and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.

This is the second book in Terra Kelly’s “Fight It Out MMA” series. Although it is not necessary to read the books in order, the reader will better enjoy this book if you do.

This is the story of Charlie and Brooke who met in Uppercut, the first book in this series. Charlie is Lily’s best friend, and Brooke works for Julian and Julian’s brothers in the MMA club.

Tap Out is the story of a woman whose major goal in life is to become a top MMA fighter and, eventually become a champion. Brooke is her trainer and lover.

This story is very different from your typical romantic suspense. The heroine, Charlie, is an MMA fighter. She is strong, tough and independent. She doesn’t need a man for anything except love and companionship and to support her in all of her endeavors.

Charlie’s man, Brooke, is all of that and more. He supports Charlie in her goal to be a fighter. He trains her, advises her during her fights and is there to help her physically, mentally and emotionally with any problems she may have.

There is not much more that I can say about the plot without giving away too many spoilers. However, this book has a lot more suspense and intrigue than the first book in this series. In fact, the action starts in the first chapter and seldom lets up until the end. There are so many surprises and twists turns in this story that I became quite confused from the “ride.” Many times I thought the story was over only to find out I was wrong. Because of all of this, I found it very difficult to put the book down until the end.

In fact, Ms. Kelly keeps the reader guessing until the very end. Best yet, she doesn’t even stop then. Even after the conflict is solved, she pops more surprises in the last two chapters. I was stunned and shocked!

Then, when I didn’t think I could be shocked any more, the author astounds us again! The clues about who will be the main characters in her next book in this series are unbelievably astounding.

This was a fascinating book that completely absorbed my attention. In fact, this book intrigued me so much that I couldn’t wait to get to the end to find the solution to the conflicts. On the other hand, I loved this book so much that I never wanted it to end.

When I finished this book, all I could say was WOW!

Tap Out is the story of Charlie and Brooks. We met these characters in the first book in the series, Uppercut. Charlie is a young woman determined to make a name for herself in the MMA. Brooks is part owner of the gym where Charlie trains. He is a patient man who waits for Charlie to realize that they are perfect together.

Charlie is a character with an interesting background. She is well developed. The author allows the character to set goals and attain them. I really enjoyed those parts of the story. There are some interesting twists and turns. Learning about Charlie's background and why her father is so mean was a good story. Charlie's interactions with her friends and family were really good.

I didn't love the fact that the characters decide to solve huge and dangerous legal problems by themselves without the cops involved. The fact that they end up in a foreign country and one of the bad guys doesn't seem to get into any legal trouble at all was a total head scratcher. Toward the end of the story I found myself rolling my eyes at how overly confident the characters were and how over the top and ridiculous the bad guys were. I felt like Charlie's family background could have been developed a little better. All of these situations were handled as quick summaries or over the top hi-jinx. That was disappointing.

I really wanted Brooks to be a well rounded character with a full and vibrant history. Instead he is supporting cast for Charlie. That's okay because this really was Charlie's story with a romance twist but it would have been great to get more about Brooks.

Overall it was an enjoyable story but the weak parts were distracting. I would recommend this to fans of Terra Kelly's prior books.

Tap it Out is the 2nd book in the Fight it Out MMA series. We were first introduced to Charlie as Lily's best friend in Uppercut, the first book of the series. Brooks, who is Julian's brother is the perfect match for Charlie as their story takes many twists and turns. Some you see coming, some you don't. Just when you think you have the plot figured out, the story takes a turn you were not expecting which keeps you turning the pages! Without giving away too much of the story, I would summarieze it a suspense read with a love story woven in. It does contain a fair amount of violence. I look forward to the next book in this series. I also hope Terra Kelly decides to give Jenny, whom we meet in this book, her own story. I think she has a lot to tell!

Well, this series just gets better and better!

Charlie has always hated her father. He is mean and overbearing so it was no wonder she left home at the age of 17. Meeting Brooks Moore when arriving in Las Vegas with her best friend Lily was fate it seems as that the two become inseparable once their feelings are confirmed. But life is about to get a whole lot more complicated when Charlie's father shows up out of the blue demanding things from her that he has no right to ask for.

This was just as explosive as book 1 and I had my heart in my throat not knowing how it would end but I am so happy to know book 3 will be on its way soon.

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book for an honest review

Surprises After Surprise

WOW!! I really love when a book surprises me and Tap Out did just that.
This book follows where Uppercut left off with Charlie, Lily’s bff, and Brooks, Julian’s brother. The women in this books are so strong and can certainly kick a$$. And who doesn’t love a billionaire alpha male. Add in suspense, action, great fights, and a h*ll of of a lot of surprises for a truly unforgettable story. There was great character development and plenty of interesting supporting characters.
The ending was perfect and leads to the next book about the last of the Moore brothers ,Tyler. Can’t wait for that one.
I received a copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This another great book in this series. Lily’s story was in the first book. Lily and Charlie are childhood friends. Charlie’s father is a real piece of work, and I don’t think she would have made it without Lily and Lily’s father to help her. Charlie has always wanted to fight like Lily, which Charlie’s father was against. Charlie leaves his house and lives with Lily. She has been working out with Brooks, otherwise known as Hollywood, and is Julian’s brother that Lily is with. Charlie and Brooks friendship turns into lovers. This is Charlie’s story of fighting for a championship. But she also has the fight of her life with her father after her. Not only is he after her, but he could care less if she is killed for him to get what he wants from her. This book has mystery, intrigue, betrayal, suspense and love. What more could you want in a book? I couldn’t stand Charlie’s dad, or understand how a man could treat his children the way he did. I was glad to see how Charlie’s twin brother stood by her. Brooks and Charlie are such a good pair. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.

TAP OUT (Fight It Out MMA Series, Book #2) by Terra Kelly

Review Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

~ She proves them all wrong ~

All “Charlie” wants is a chance to fight to win a title with AFC, and prove her family wrong. The Moore brothers, owners of Fight It Put worked with her to get there. Suddenly, her life takes a series of unexpected twists, just when she is on the cusp of her first big backed fight, and she cannot believe what is happening. More twists and reveals of secrets follow, but ultimately, with Brooks by her side, she was able to achieve her number one dream.

Tap Out is book two in the Fight It Out MMA series and it's just as good as the first book was. In Uppercut we met childhood friends Lily and Charlie and Tap Out is Charlie and Brooks story. Charlie is a MMA fighter and Brooks is part owner of the club Charlie trains at. Charlie story is full of secrets, mystery, suspense, drama, and a sweet romance. The story is well written and the characters are well developed. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Book Two in the Fight It Out MMA series is mainly the story of Charlie and Brooks, but we also catch up with Lily and Julian. I was glued to my iPad while reading this suspenseful read. I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. We have a few surprises that I didn’t see coming, lol. If you’re looking for an author you haven’t read yet, I highly recommend Terra Kelly’s books. I can not wait for the next book in this series. Did someone say MMF?

Tap Out by Terra Kelly

This book is a mystery suspense that will have you flipping the pages. We read about Charlie in Lily’s book, Uppercut. Now we get Charlie’s story and what a rollercoaster we take. Charlie and Brooks start their “relationship” in Uppercut but we get to see these two get closer in Tap Out. We watch as they both fall in love while trying to keep Charlie alive. There are many twists and turns and surprises in this book.

I love Terra’s story telling and y’all will too!

Highly recommended.

Tap Out is a suspenseful novel with violence and bloodshed, but it also has romance and some humour. Charlie is determined to become every bit as good as her MMA best friend in the ring, but unfortunately, her father doesn't agree. Leaving home to follow her passion, the fighters at the gym become her family and ultimately she finds the love of her life. Unfortunately, her father still does not agree and decides it's time for payback. The story is relatively well written and keeps the reader guessing, although I did find the plot a little disjointed at times. Dealing with domestic abuse is always a difficult subject and this book brings out the ends to which an evil person will go to achieve their objectives. Although this book is part of a series and some of the characters overlap, it is nevertheless a standalone and does come to a satisfactory conclusion when justice is served. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This book continues the story exactly where Uppercut ended, and now we know the story of Charlie, Lilly's best friend, and Brooks, who works for Julian.
The suspense of this story holds my attention, I couldn't wait to know what would happen next.
Charlie and Brooks had already appeared in the first book and have become virtually inseparable, but now, with Charlie's father reappearing in the story, she will have to show how strong she is and can defend herself.
This story is full of suspense, fights and twists that I didn't see coming. The ending was perfect.
I loved to see again the characters from the first book. I'm anxious for the next book in the series.
I highly recommend the reading.

This is Charlie and Brooks story. We still get Julian and Lily. This story just like Undercut is full of mystery and keeps you on your toes. I was glued to my Kindle till the end. In Uppercut we learn Charlies family isn't supporting especially her father. Lily's fighting career is jumping off to good things when her father shows up to start trouble. With the help of her friends she works to uncover her fathers secret. This was a great read and I recommend this series. You will not be disappointed.
