As a mother, it is a blessing to stay at home and take care of my family, knowing that every one of my actions within my home is an act of worship; that I am pleasing my Lord by doing so and I am content with it الحمد لله.

I would recommend this book to every one of my sisters who are entering motherhood, especially if you live in the west like myself. We are so easily persuaded by society and its opinions but what of Allah’s decree? We need reminders of Allah’s decree and we need to accept it is the best for us. May Allah make it easy for us all أمين

If you teach a man then you have taught an individual. If you teach a woman then you have taught generations, or a nation.

What an amazing, practical and short book. I absolutely loved it. I loved the new perspective and value it shed on the woman's role in raising a family, I loved the Islamic lens it was viewed with, and I loved the weight of the responsibility given to the woman that chooses to focus on her family. This was the first time I have read a book that dabbled a little in the raising of children and in all honesty I found it quite (actually, extremely) daunting and scary. Raising children is no easy feat, it can be, with the permission of Allah ﷻ, a woman's ticket to Jannah, or it can be what Allah will question her about on the Day of Judgement.

At the end of the day, being a wife and a mother is a responsibility that is weighty yet extremely rewarding. May Allah allow us to be the best of Muslimahs, ameen.

It wasn’t a guide but more of a list of duties

- The book was a nice read. I also finished the book in a day right after finishing the ibn Jawzi book mentioned prior. The book was concise and straight to the point with its ideology. The sheikh is giving advice to woman on how they should be; and that is in their homes raising the children. The sheikh brought evidences from the sharia to back the claim of woman not leaving the home except out of necessity of course. The sheikh also gave some points on how to be a good wife and bullet pointed the advice to make it understandable. The sheikh also did something pretty cool, I genuinely believe possibly this book was for woman with no clue on Islam and may have bad connotations on Islam in general, as the evidences from the sharia should be enough, but the sheikh brought aqwal from the kufar at the the end, from prominent educated woman of the past on their views on woman being out in the work fields and being out etc and they all agree that a feminine wife should remain and home and raise the children. Disclaimer, I read this book out of curiosity just in case anyone was assuming why I read a book directed at woman. Reading such books should be a guideline on how you would want your woman folk. The sheikhs books should all be ready anyway, as he is from the major scholars of our time May Allah preserve him. The book was also a nice refutation on feminists, especially feminist bints, as feminism is a disease that lingers in Muslimahs today, we ask Allah to rectify the Muslims affairs today.
