Make You Mine is a brand new stand alone book by Tia Louise. I should have learned by now to always expect the unexpected with Tia’s books. I never imagined how this book was going to pull me in and grab me the way it did. I love reading the last words of a book and immediately diving in to the review while my emotions are all still fresh. So here goes.
Grayson (Gray) Cole came to Oakville to live with his uncle when he lost his father. His uncle took him in and provided for him the best he could. His uncle was the town mechanic and taught Gray everything he knew. They lived in the little shack attached to the garage. Everyone in the town brought their cars there when they needed work done. But in their eyes, Gray and his uncle were always less than they were. Definitely not good enough for the only girl that mattered to him, Drew Harris.
Andrea (Drew) Harris has loved Gray since she was four years old and Gray was eight and he saved her from a snake. Gray was her brother’s best friend. It was the summer after her junior year in high school when Gray and her brother were home from college when things changed between them. They were each other’s first everything. But they kept their feelings secret. Drew’s brother would have never understood.
Then, the next year when Drew graduated from high school, Gray and Danny graduated from college and were leaving to join the marines. On the night they said their good-byes, Gray wrote a promise on a coaster and signed it, that he would come back to her.
Four years later, Gray does come back, alone. He’s changed now, he’s a man with ghosts that haunt him. One touch from Drew and he can’t resist her. He can’t say no to her. But is the town right? Is he not good enough for her. He tried to be the man she deserved. But how can he drag her into his darkness?

This is such a beautiful story. If there were ever two people more in love, that deserved to find their happy ending, it was these two. They never faltered from their feelings for one another. Circumstances were not kind to these two. But they held strong.
Tia, you have done it again. Thank you for this book. Gray and Drew have stolen my heart. I could not put this down. I had to know what was going to happen next. You have some sort of magic touch when your fingers touch your keyboard. And I am forever grateful.

It was a story about forgiveness, friendship, family, and healing. It’s one of those books that touches your heart. I really enjoyed reading it, and as always, Tia Louise’s writing was wonderful. I for sure recommend this to all lovers of second chance romance and/or brothers best friend romances.

Make You Mine is a brilliant sexy second-chance Romance by Tia Louise. This story has everything to make you fall in love with Gray and Drew! This story is emotional. This story is passionate. This story talks about losing the love and finding it again after a difficult journey. The author touched my heart deeply with this story.
Drew is the baby sister of Gray's best friend. This is not the only reason she is off limits. So called difference in social position separates them. But Gray has deep and honest feelings for Drew which they just can't ignore. When Gray leaves for Army he promised to come back and make Drew his. But promises take a back seat when Gray comes back with a traumatic experience and self imposed burden of guilt about his best friend's death. Drew is struggling with her own life but all she needs is Gray. But it won't be easy. Will Gray defeat his own demons and keep his promise? Will they both be strong for each other? The author will take you a breath taking journey!
Tia Louise has so beautifully written this dual POV story. To fully understand the trauma and suffering of Gray, it was necessary. And I loved every moment of it. ”You have always been my hero, Grayson Cole. From the time I was a little girl, when you saved me. You dried my tears. You looked out for me.”
I would put this in the “forbidden/second chance romance” column. The kind where the ‘wrong side of the tracks’ guy falls for the rich sister of his best friend. Her father tells him under no circumstances is he to ever put a hand on his little girl. Basically telling the guy he will never amount to anything. The guy is determined to prove her father wrong.
The guy is Gray. The girl he falls for is Drew. While their chemistry is smoking hot, circumstances keep them apart, when all they want is to be together.
I live for emotional roller coaster rides and great angst in my romances. Although this is my first read by this author, I think she was trying to achieve those goals, but both fell a bit short for me.
I must say, the world would be a much better place with more good guys like Gray in it.
I am in the minority camp as far as ratings, but all in all, a decent romantic read ;)

Drew is the other brothers little sister. She’s strong and since she was little she knew Grayson was gonna be her’s. Grayson is Drew’s older brothers best friend who knew that loving Drew wasn’t right but he couldn’t stop himself. He’s her first everything and their connection is unbreakable. Some trauma happens and it has Grayson fighting with himself on what is right and what he should be doing. Not once does Drew ever give up on him or their love.
Make You Mine delivers everything you want. Hot, steamy scenes and an amazing love story.

Such an addicting read for me. This story and the content captivated me from the start. I couldn’t put this book down❤️
I definitely fell in love with Grayson Cole. His dedication, how hard he loves, his faithfulness, and mostly his heart. This man was so much to me in this book. Yes he goes through some really hard times, tragic times, but it does not change his heart. I never got enough of him.
Drew Harris was the little sister of Grayson’s best friend Danny. He’s known her most of her life, so what happens when he continuously saves her during heart breaking moments. When do they finally give in to their attractions? Drew doesn’t care what her fathers wishes are, she’s fallen in love with the man that holds her heart. So upon a four year deployment she promises her heart to the man of her dreams. Will he come back whole, or will he not come back together???
This sweet book turns intense, it’s sad, it’s a book that builds you up, let’s you fall, and completely puts you back together. A very well done story. A love so big that it shouts from the pages of this beautiful story ❤️

I was given an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review! This book is coming out on December 4th, and I can tell you right now... I highly recommend it! I really enjoyed my first experience with Tia Louise’s work, and I am eager to check out her other books that are out there!
I stayed up reading this one until 3am... I need some sleep but I’ll be back to finish my review!!!

This book was sweet, and perfect for the mood I was in today. This author's writing is always top notch, and this book was no different. It was well paced. It is told in a dual POV format. The plot was engaging. Romantic. Sweet. Heartbreaking. Funny. Charming. The angst wasn't over the top, but there was a bit. There was a smidge of OW drama. Neither slept with other people while they were apart. That said, it is mentioned the hero tried to date once, and it was a "disaster," and the heroine goes on a date when the hero comes back, but the hero shows up in the middle of it.
It had a fantastic cast of secondary characters. I LOVED Ruby. She made me laugh my butt off, and I can't wait to read her book! I also think Ralph and his almond obsessed ass needs an HEA (lol). Both Gray and Drew were very likable main characters. Last, it was all wrapped up in a lovely ending.
So why not 5-Stars? I felt like Drew did all the work trying to keep the relationship going. She was the one always pursuing Gray. Always trying to convince Gray. Always waiting around for Gray. Always defending Gray. I get the guy was dealing with stuff, but after the second , he should have had to work a little to get back into her good graces. Instead, she just took him right back. So yeah, that annoyed me enough that it lowered my rating a bit.
Overall though, this was a fantastic read, and I enjoyed it a lot!

Well Tia Louise you really had me in the palm of your hand with this one, I was an emotional wreck, breaking me to pieces with your magical words.
My heart literally broke, for Gray and Drew leaving the shards scattered like pieces of a jigsaw. Only to be fitted back together piece by piece with every chapter I read. Slotting them back into place making it whole again.Tia is the Queen of the small town Romance, she always creates these great little towns and endearing characters that live there. I adored being whisked away into this town and experiencing the beautiful Romance of Gray and Drew.
This is such a heart wrenching and wonderful story about a Love between two people that never wanes, despite the difference in social status, parental disapproval, distance, war, PTSD, tragedy, loss and grief.
This book is just Perfection, it is one of the best love stories I have read this year, I honestly don't know what else to say, that already hasn't been said by others who have read this book too. I cannot describe the love I have for Gray and Drew, the ending was purely breathtaking and emotional it gave me so much joy.
And I was so happy to learn Ruby, Drews bestie will have her story next year she was hilarious.

It's his guilt, secrets, insecurities, and judgment from others that keeps him from feeling deserving of the one person he wants in his life. His pain tore at my heart. I'd seen this on my newsfeed all over facebook which is my main reason for one clicking this, those teasers sent me straight over to Amazon..Plus military and childhood friends are two of my reader weaknesses.
The only reason why this isn't hitting my 5 star shelf is that I found my concentration waning a bit where my whole focus should've been on the book, it seemed a wee bit drawn out in places but fast paced in others which drew me back into the storyline. I'm definitely a fan of this authors and can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Oh my gosh!!! I absolutely LOVED this book! First love and second chances can sometimes be tricky, but holy heck! This author hit it out of the ballpark when it came to creating this story for me. And surely she wrote it just for me because it has everything that makes this trope work in the most fantastic way!
Okay, so I’m a huge fan of first love and that is exactly what Drew and Gray are. From early childhood they had a connection and even then Gray felt protective of Drew. That connection never dims as the years pass and we are suddenly given a look into the young love of this couple. First love? Yep. Also, first kiss and every other first that follows. And while it doesn’t come right out and say she was Gray’s first, it is certainly implied, at least in my mind. First check-mark on my list for a perfect read.

I don’t have to have celibacy during a separation, but hawt dang if it isn’t my jam!
The reunion between Gray and Drew and what follows is filled with a bit of angst, lots of steam due to the sizzling chemistry this couple have, a deep possessiveness from both the hero and heroine, and enough drama to keep it interesting. And there my friends is another check-mark that is like the icing on the cake.
All of this to say, this book is exactly what I look for in a romance. The perfect combinations, the perfect amount of everything I love with nothing being over the top, and the perfect development of characters to sell the story to me. Perfect. In. Every. Way.

Okay, so I’m a huge fan of first love and that is exactly what Drew and Gray are. From early childhood they had a connection and even then Gray felt protective of Drew. That connection never dims as the years pass and we are suddenly given a look into the young love of this couple. First love? Yep. Also, first kiss and every other first that follows. And while it doesn’t come right out and say she was Gray’s first, it is certainly implied, at least in my mind. First check-mark on my list for a perfect read.

I haven't met a Tia Louise book I haven't liked so it's no surprise that I loved MYM as well! I want to be Drew! I want to know what it feels like to have soo much faith in another person that you can put your life on hold, no matter how long it takes, for them to come back to you because you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are your one and only. I want to know what it feels like to have someone love you so much that they will set you free because they feel like they are not worthy, only to come back because they just can't live without you.
I have been ruined for future relationships. My heart has been broken and put back together all by this one story so be ready for some tears! There is something about a forbidden romance that gets your heart racing too so be ready for the steam! Just be ready....Tia knows how to take her readers on a joyride!

Gray is one my favorite Tia Louise heroes. His unrelenting love made me swoon so hard. These two were so amazing together. There love was challenged at every turn, but they only had eyes for one another. I loved it so very much!

All the feels were felt. I adored Gray and Drew's emotional second chance at romance. This forbidden romance has it all. A small town feel, family drama, a second chance at romance, and it’s sweet but also sexy.
While I didn’t love the secondary characters in this one, the main characters and the plot more than make up for that. It’s a fairly quick read that will definitely get you right in the feels. Recommended!

This was such a beautiful, emotional love story that gives all the feels. On paper, Gray and Drew were completely different; he was being raised by his uncle who’s a mechanic and she by her wealthy dad. But they were more alike than expected. They both lost their mothers at a very young age and Drew never looked at Gray like he was below her. In fact, she only had love in her eyes. Gray tried to stay away but just couldn’t. They were secretly seeing each other but he still felt like he wasn’t good enough for her. She never thought this.
As time passes you see how their relationship develops and all the ups and downs. The tragic stuff that these two experienced is beyond sad but they were there for each other. Your heart will go out to both but especially to Gray. These two loved hard and you will not be reading this one dry eyed. I enjoyed that this book was about them and not focused on any crazy exes.
This wasn’t your typical little sister with older brother best friend. Yes there were moments when Drew older brother brought got overprotective but that didn’t stop her. Such a beautiful, beautiful love story.

Wow what a phenomenal story. It was heart-wrenching and the main character had their ups and downs but with the bond that they had they fought through it. I was rooting for them to pull through because their love never went away. They were just dealt with a bad set of cards.
Grayson Cole God he's a man with a heart of gold. He is loyal and of course gorgeous and only have eyes for his best friend sister drew Harris.
Drew Harris has gone through so much in her life at such a young age. There's always been just one man that has been there for her through it all. She's been in love with him since she can remember. She's loyal, strong and has a sassy side to her.
As their story unfolds you get to see how it all started the love and bond that they share. The loss and battle they face. OMG if there was one thing I could change would be the part where Grayson and Danny fight. Gosh I cried so hard and I still feel the pain. Anyways I recommend this book to anyone and everyone. This story just became one of my top favorites.

Grayson Cole and Andrea 'Drew' Harris had loved each other since they were kids. He was her brother's best friend and she was most definitely off limits. But that didn't stop them. As a matter of fact, no one in their small town was going to keep them apart. They were destined for one another. If only Gray could get out of his own way.
I felt for Gray. I truly did. He joined the military to make something of himself, to prove that he was good enough for Drew. Going to college and achieving honors didn't seem to be enough. So off he went to war with his best friend at his side. But the horrors they faced changed him and his pain and grief were almost insurmountable. With the help of Drew's love and patience and his own determination to find himself back to her, there was no doubt that Gray would be okay.
I've loved many a Tia Louise story. I recommend her work to every book lover I know because she writes everything from royal romance to romantic suspense. I find it very easy to become consumed wiht her words, to live out the events she describes, and to fall in love with her characters and the worlds she creates. Unfortunately, this story won't be added to my favorites list. It dragged a bit and I found it extremely difficult to pay attention. The heroine was annoying, the plot was a bit too predictable and yet all over the place, and the extra oomph I was looking for was nowhere to be found. But I won't let this deter me. I will still read anything this author puts out because as much as I didn't love this story, I did like it and so far, if this can be categorized as her worst, it ain't half bad.

Make You Mine is a wonderful friends to lovers and military romance. Drew is my kind of kickass and strong heroine. Her love for Gray, her family and friends knows no bounds. Even though Gray tries to push her away she still hangs on for dear life. She loves! She fights. Gray is such a swoon worthy guy who’s emotionally broken. The trauma he experienced has left its mark. Mentally. But he won’t give up. He’ll do anything for his woman.
Their love and shared history is unbreakable. Gray is Drew’s first in every which way and it feels when they’re together or just around each other. Their bond and connection is palpable. I enjoyed getting to know their history and experiencing how strong their love is. Gray wants to do the right thing which isn’t the right in Drew’s eyes. He fights too. To forgive himself. To get himself back on track and to be worthy of Drew. It’s a tough journey which shows the repercussions of being at war.

Make You Mine is the cross between a second chance romance and a brothers-best-friend novel. It was sweet and emotional, and brought out so many feelings for Drew and Gray. I was captivated in the story, just waiting for these two to get back together and put their pain behind them.
I did think the romance was a little one sided at points, where it felt like Drew was trying much harder than Gray. Overall I liked that she was s determined not to let him get away again but I kept looking for that same determination from Gray. I did feel the connection between them though and enjoyed it.
Overall, this was a great book full of romance and sweetness, with some angst thrown in. I also loved the secondary characters that were featured and I can't wait to them get their own story.

Ok so this book right here y'all lord help!!! Tia tore it up on this one, 5 stars will not do it justice at all!!! I felt this book not only in my heart but down deep in my soul!! I went through every emotion reading this book that you can have and loved every single moment of it. I almost threw my kindle a couple of times wanting to slap a couple people straight. And it was so real,like you were reading someone's life story or living it right there with them. Grayson and Drew and so many things going against them and only a one thing going for them. But that one thing was Love and that is sometimes the only thing you need. I'm not going to say anything else this is one of those books you need to be able to just fall into all on your own and get lost in. And I know that you will because I love me some Tia Louise books but this is one of my top favorites and that's saying something. So I highly recommend this book!!! Make You Mine is another great read by Tia Louise. Second chance is one of my favorites and this book did not disappoint! I loved Gray and Drew. Gray was so possessive, a little vulnerable and all alpha! Drew was sweet and sassy. Gray and Drew had an intense and captivating connection. I loved their love! Definitely recommend this book!

Drew and Gray's forbidden, second chance military romance in Make You Mine was everything you might expect to get from Tia Louise. It was beautifully written, a masterfully woven story rich with heartache and longing, steam and sweet romance. It tugs painfully at the heartstrings while delivering a satisfying romantic HEA and I just adored it.
I love a book that hits me in ALL the feels. This one hurt, it was sweet, it was infuriating and it was deliciously sexy. It delivers a barrage of all kinds of emotion, both the ones that tear you up and the kind that soothes that hurt. From the unforgettable childhood moments that brought Drew and Gray together, to the raw devastation that tore them apart, this story held me in its grip the whole way through. I felt it all.
Grayson made this story for me. He was just everything. He's broken, he's loyal, he's sweet but so strong. He's lost but never cruel. He's defeated but he never stops being a stand up guy. He's just everything and I loved him so so so hard.

They are always these alpha, possessive me who have insecurities underneath that also make me want to snuggle up with them and tell them it will be okay. Gray is this man. I couldn’t have loved his character more. His trials and tribulations from youth to adulthood make him endearing, and his passion and devout love of Drew is what romances are made of. Perfect.
Drew is nothing but compassionate. It radiate from who she is. Her kindness is part of her makeup. Underneath this heart of gold, though, is a sultry temptress. She yields her sexuality against Gray when needed, and I kind of love that about her.
There are many obstacles in the way of these two, from best friends little sister to wrong side of the track status, but these two fight through it all to be together. Their love is pure and true, and their HEA is worth the ride.

This was my first book by Tia Louise and it checked so many of my favorite boxes! It's a brother's best friend, second chance, military romance with a slightly forbidden element. Grayson is an outsider in their small town, the nephew off a mechanic who is not expected to make much of himself. So besides the fact that Drew is his best friend's sister, she is also off limits because for some reason her father doesn't think he is good enough for her.
From the begining, Gray has issues dealing with his self worth and he truly believes Andrea deserves better than him. Their attraction is too strong to deny though and they end up having a secret relationship. I really loved Drew. She knew exactly what she wanted and she definitely wanted Grayson Cole. She was the one that kept on pushing till he gave in and I just love a girl who takes charge. Their chemistry was seriously hot but when it came to the actual act, I found it monotonous and a bit lacking.
Gray deals with issues of survivor's guilt and PTSD after his time in the military and I thought these topics were tackled really well. Drew really was supportive through it all and was the perfect partner.
The secondary characters were such a great addition to this story. Ruby was Drew's Korean best friend who was so lovable and bubbbly and added humor to the book. We also get almond obsessed Ralph who I thought was just a hilarious character especially since he wasn't trying to be. Of course there is some OW drama but no worries, Gray showed absolutely no interest and all the characters that carried small town gossip were also a great addition.
My main critique is that the story at times didn't seem to flow well. It almost fet like there were certain parts that were deleted, like you missed something and this made it difficult to read at some points. Overall though I did enjoy it and I loved Gray and Drew! This is definitely an author I will be trying again!

Ahhh Grayson
I really enjoyed this book. Grayson and Andrea's story is cute sweet but heart breaking at the same time. Grayson just didn't feel good enough for his best friends younger sister. But the attraction between them as always been there between them. Fighting it at times was just to hard. But everyone telling you your not worthy of this gorgeous caring girl starts to wear on you and with Gray it did. The only thing that kept him thing ing he might stand a chance was Andrea. She luvd Gray so much he was perfect to her her what's made her life good. But things didn't go easy for them from the start it was a struggle but they had to fight for what they knew was right and it was them.
I had so many mixed emotions throughout this book. Both characters had to deal with some pretty crappy times. They didn't have each other to count on. Even though it was what they both needed. They knew there relationship was goin to be hard but it was other people that annoyed me. I luvd Gray and Andrea together. They both brought out the best sides in each other. I just wish that Gray wasn't so hard on his self. The feelings this guy had to deal with daily was scary. I just wasn't to hug him throughout the whole story. He just underestimated how strong Andrea was she could fight anyone when it came to Gray she had his back no matter what.
I would highly recommend this story. I'm a sucker for second chance romance so I knew it was a winner for me. Throw in a sexy military guy a lil bit of a forbidden luv and I m hooked. I really like this authors writing. The stories alway flow so well. I was dying to know how things would work out for this pair. They were just meant to be together. I did luv Andrea's best friend Ruby. She is just wild and so funny. I m dying for more of her, so glad she is getting her own book. Looking forward to Make me Yours.

I really enjoyed this book. Grayson and Andrea's story is cute sweet but heart breaking at the same time. Grayson just didn't feel good enough for his best friends younger sister. But the attraction between them as always been there between them. Fighting it at times was just to hard. But everyone telling you your not worthy of this gorgeous caring girl starts to wear on you and with Gray it did. The only thing that kept him thing ing he might stand a chance was Andrea. She luvd Gray so much he was perfect to her her what's made her life good. But things didn't go easy for them from the start it was a struggle but they had to fight for what they knew was right and it was them.
I had so many mixed emotions throughout this book. Both characters had to deal with some pretty crappy times. They didn't have each other to count on. Even though it was what they both needed. They knew there relationship was goin to be hard but it was other people that annoyed me. I luvd Gray and Andrea together. They both brought out the best sides in each other.
