Dystopia #4

Dark Days: Dystopia Series

Rate this book
A shocking betrayal tears at the very foundation of the group. The arrival of their friends from the north brought not only joy but death. An outlaw gang threatens their home and lives. She’s back, with vengeance and hate, Morgan will stop at nothing to destroy what they’d built. In the days following the reset, chaos rules and the world is a different place. In only a few short months, cities have gone mad, countryside burned, and the dark days had begun. Dark Days is an emotional ride through the end of the world. It’s not just the end of the world, it could mean the end of everything. An ideal read for fans of Alas Babylon and Lights out.

Bestselling Disaster & Apocalypse Author DJ Cooper

She lives in Biddeford, Maine, with a demon disguised as a cat! She loves to read and write post-apocalyptic and disaster fiction. It all started with the Dystopia series of books she released in late 2014, and she has been going strong since.

She also writes nonfiction prepper books and articles for her preparedness teams at Thrive Self-Reliance Initiative. That first title created a strong desire to learn more, leading her back to school, hoping to gain more perspective on the craft and the industry. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Marketing. She spends her days now studying for her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in teaching.

DJ’s favorite apocalyptic reads are The Road, Alas Babylon, One Second After, & the dystopian series Hunger Games. As an Apocalypse author, she hopes to find herself among these favorites for readers of all ages.

THIS FINAL BOOK IN THIS SERIES WILL JUST BLOW YOUR MIND

The deceiving, betraying, and outright corruption of family, friends, loved ones, neighbors, and government will just blow your mind. At the same time, the compassion, friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice will awe you.

This being the final book in this series (even though DJ Cooper left the door open for another addition book) revils who within their group, community, and government has been betraying them these past months and has changed society from now on. You will be amazed at the twists and turns in the storyline and the sacrifices, determination, loss the characters go through just to survive. At the same time, the love and compassion for their family, friends, and community will restore your faith in mankind.

I really enjoyed this book and series and hope you will too.

Great Story!

Who's who, gets a little confusing at times, more details would have helped to make the characters more memorable. One detail that persisted that was unrealistic, was the dialog and actions of 10 yr. old Matty. He hugged people around the legs and spoke like a child half his age. The average 10 yr. old is usually close to 5' tall and would have to get on his knees to hug those legs! There were a few errors, but fairly good editing. The things that make this book worth it's weight in gold, are found at the end of the book. I'll let that be a surprise. Read this series, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Can't stop reading!

This is the fourth book in DJ Cooper 's Dystopia series, and she has held nothing back! From start to finish, this saga continues. We finally learn who has been pulling the strings, or have we? Old rivals are dealt with while new dangers emerge, and everyone is fair game. What will happen next?

A good read

I enjoyed reading the series. A different take on the apocalyptic/dystopian genre filled with down to earth characters and villains.

Initially a different approach to post apocalyptic literature it resolved into an EMP with added side issues
Good story line and a good spread of characters
BUT absolutely littered with all sorts of errors
Definitely need a proof reader ... and a dictionary
