Forrest Evers, star driver of auto racing's Team Arundel, takes on Guido, his archrival, and soon finds himself up against money laundering, murder, and the Mob
Found this book in a library sale and, as a fan of Formula 1 racing, thought it would be an interesting piece of fiction. The beginning and end are full of authentic racing action, but the middle is a rather tepid murder mystery that mostly serves to pad out the book until the ending, which is fairly well telegraphed. There are some authentic images of Sicily that the author paints throughout, but the real highlight of the book is the 40 pages or so of racing action.
