I always believed romance can never be my cup of tea. From the beginning, when the sun rises with the red, I saw it as an initiation of a new age, when it sets down, I saw the red as blood. Like, after the war, someone is going to sleep with vigorously bleeding limbs, head, heart, and … perhaps The Brain! Red was always revolution to me. It never got equated with the colour of rose, colour of the so called ‘Heart’! Never, ever, ever! And a tale of romance? Oh, Please! Well, one time read, at max.
By the time I’m writing this, my perception about life (& love, yes) already took a turn towards a statics from my ever known dynamics. It took me a long thinking to get how to start writing about the book and I’m still in the same dilemma. Good? Bad? Never mind! But after completing, you too will realize, a mere description is beyond our imagination. It’s different, above all! Just after completing the book, you’ll feel like starting it again.
Whatever, I guess people don’t like a long beginning. The book explores the life of a so called arrogant feminist, Radhika, in an unusually strange manner, that tells the story of her childhood, present, and finally future. Yes, future too! She is left to discover her past and only love is not yet finished and by the time she starts digging deeper, life takes her from the position of Queen only to place her in Bishop and … no, nothing more! Radhika experienced. So will you.
Like everything, the book comes with its negative side. My microscopic stock of words faced wall after wall while going through it, so before you start (if you dare at all), keep a dictionary ready (Read, your smartphone charged). On the contrary, even my poor knowledge on English encountered some minor grammatical mistakes. Not to say, a ‘little’ (ahem) melodramatic …The book contains mild sexual elements too; so in case you are a saint … Ha, ha ha. The page quality and the binding of Srishti Publishers are more than good. Price is reasonably low!
You know what! By the time I’m writing this, I’m suppressing my intense desire to show Radhika this post! The sky is turned black, she is invisible. Wherever she is, my only hope, one day she will accidentally come across her biography, and then …
The story begins …
(P.S. Yes, too much sentimental shit in one shot, I understand!)
