I love the desserts in this cookbook! Using these recipes has led me to experience the incredibly satisfying process of going to farmer's market, picking what is in season, and baking something delicious with it, and than feeding it to people right out of the oven. These recipes are pretty easy to follow, and they are very unique and tasty. Most of them can easily be veganized too.
I fell in love with this book long before culinary school and used it as a starter pastry bible for many years before it was destroyed in an evil household accident. If you can get your hands on a copy you will want to make everything within its pages again and again. This book made me a devoted fan, which I have remained these many long years!
Another great cookbook from David Lebovitz with easy to understand directions for even beginning bakers. Some of the recipes inside were featured in the last cookbook I read of his, "Ready for Dessert: My Best Recipes".
