Readers are always in for an emotional ride in M.J. Perry's books and this story in particular really tugs at the heart as it relates the fluctuating emotions that come with love... the second time around.
You're gonna laugh, you're gonna cry... you're gonna fall in love!
This was a sweet romance but it lacked something for me. I enjoyed the story but I didn't love it. I wasn't captivated but I was interested.
Having been widowed in the past, i understood Olivia's pain. Mason was an incredible person, but maybe too incredible. Hard to say. Anyway I read it to be entertained and I was so I give it 3 stars.
She was lost in her grief. He wanted her lost in him. Overcoming grief and believing you could love again is something Olivia is going to struggle with, but someone special will not let her close off.

This was a very sweet second chance romance, Olivia was such a lovely characters and you feel her grief and pain of losing her husband at such a young age, I liked Mason and seeing this characters romance evolve throughout the story was sweet.
A very emotional and yet enjoyable story. The author did a good job of portraying the characters emotions through thoughtful and descriptive words. It was easy to get caught up in this world because it was believable. A good story.
Olivia Beaton is a widow. She lost her 27 yr old husband Ryan to cancer just two years ago. She's having trouble letting go. She has been mourning too long. Her friends call her Liz and her best friend Ava wants her to get out more. Olivia feels guilty because she's been stalking this builder. There's something about him that intrigues her and makes her feel alive. She is going to go with her to her nephew Joshua's christening. As she is going to be godmother to him. Her brother Tony and Ryan were best friends and it's been hard seeing my brother because of the memories. So on the day of christening Tony walks in with the man I've been watching the builder. His name is Mason and he's been noticing her too. This is a slow to fast ending for the relationship between Mason and Olivia. No sexual scences and a happy ever after.
