When Sable’s sister goes missing, disappearing into a private BDSM community, there’s only one man to whom she can turn. Julian is a Dom and a celebrity on the scene, and he’s willing to help, but on his terms. Sable will pretend to be his sub, and they’ll enter the community together to search for Sabrina. She’s desperate to find her sister, but isn’t interested in the lifestyle. She’s drawn to Julian, and the attraction is mutual, but how can there be a future for them when they both want such different things? She’s not magically going to become the perfect submissive, and Julian won’t want to give up being a Dom. When they find Sabrina, that should be the end of their affair, but will either be able to walk away by then?
Technically I liked the writing of this book, technically I liked the premise & plot, technically I liked the H/h (h except for one thing that really rankled me), but that's my overall impression of this book: technical. Virtually no sexual interaction, a medium amount of talking about D/s, a couple of mentions about some BDSM scenes. I understand the premise of Sable joining with a high profile Dom of the BDSM lifestyle to search for her missing sister Sabrina, & that Sable had no experience or liking for the lifestyle but this at times seemed an anti-BDSM lifestyle (to me at least) book. Sable (h) doesn't try with any seriousness to attempt to be submissive to Julian (H) even when he is volunteering to do this mainly for her (although he does have some reason to help of his own) & seems as though she isn't very focused on what needs to be done to locate a beloved sister she is afraid is being tortured, or worse. Also, I never got 'drawn into' the story, the characters or their potential relationship or even the climatic finish. The writing style always seemed 'detached/distant' & nothing grabbed me. The only thing that did strike me (& ticked me off) was how Sable treated a former lover/boyfriend-- I really didn't see how I was to admire her & be rooting for her after that abysmal action. Between that & how she was easily diverted from focusing on what needed to be done to possibly save her sister's life, she didn't much appeal to me as a heroine. All in all, this was a pleasant albeit bland read, something to read between more exciting, dark or emotional stories.

In the beginning, Sable is impatient, pigheaded, cynical, opinionated, obstinate and stubborn. She was under the impression that these attributes showed independence. Sable has a negative preconceived conviction about the BDSM lifestyle that her sister Sabrina has immersed herself into. Now that Sable has lost touch with her sister, she is concerned for her safety. Sable goes to the only person she knows in the lifestyle, Julien Talos. Julien is a celebrity in his own right having written books and has created films on BDSM. Sable met Julien briefly through Sabrina. When Sable filled Julien in with the little facts she knew, he said he would look into it and get back to her. When they met again, Julien confirmed that indeed there was reason to believe that Sabrina may be in more trouble than they had originally thought. The only solution is for Sable to become Julien's submission and be convincing enough to enter into another world beyond BDSM. Sable unwillingly decided that was the only option available to her. So, she agreed to be Julien's submissive. Although Julien was concerned for Sabrina, he also had another motive. The person he believed Sabrina was involved with was Rafe Monahan. Julien wanted to right a wrong Rafe had committed to someone he deeply cared for. Slowly Sable began so see another side of BDSM because of the way Julien treated her. She was still hesitant but was willing to follow his commands. "For the first time, she was confident that he truly didn’t need to inflict pain to enjoy being a Dom. He wanted to exert control, but even then, it was focused on pleasing her. She was starting to realize she had vastly misjudged and mislabeled the nuances of Domination and submission." Drama ensues when they try to infiltrate a BDSM community. They run into Rafe and an opportunity opens for them to see if they can find Sabrina. Unfortunately, Rafe is onto them and lures them into a trap. This is so exciting and the suspense kept me reading page after page until a satisfying end. I totally recommend this book. Our heroine (who is openly prejudiced against BDSM at the start) has to recruit a Dom to help extract her sister from a BDSM community.
This is more a mystery or suspense story than an erotic romance. BDSM is the background, almost the threat or danger in the story which has captured our heroine's sister. The hero is happy to help and spends most of the book trying to educate our heroine so that they can infiltrate a BDSM community. If you pick this book up expecting to be titillated by the kinky activities, then you will be very disappointed. There are a few scenes, but they are primarily background material. There is a lot of talk about D/S and BDSM and so it might be educational for the curious, less so for the initiated.
So ignoring the BDSM, how does the story work as a romance? It starts out rather slowly, taking a while to build, but does get to the point. The story is well written and the characters intriguing, but I found it took a while to warm up to them. However, once the relationship (and hence the story) started to develop, then I was drawn in and eager to see where it would go.
Overall, I found the story to be enjoyable. Recommended for a quiet weekend read.

The old saying is "never judge a book by it's cover" and this is basically what Sable has done. She doesn't understand the complicated world that is BDSM and because of this she caused distance between her and her sister. Despite the distance, Sable is convinced that something has happened to Sabrina. Her search leads her to ask for help from Julian. That help will have Sable second-guessing what she thought she knew about BDSM. It will also have her taking a long look at herself and her desires. I loved this story. It helps to reiterate the fact that you should never judge something or someone just because you don't understand or agree with them. It also shows how much trust and compromise is need for any relationship whether it's BDSM or vanilla.

This is an suspenseful, outstanding BDSM romance and I truly enjoyed reading it. It is about: a young woman (Stable) who is looking for her missing sister (Sabrina) and she turns to a Dom (Julian) for help, although she is not interested in that way of lifestyle she will have to pretend to be a submissive for Julian but will it only be pretend? There is: twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, villains, danger, mystery, adventure, action, opinions, verbal disagreements, discomfort, proposition, memories, discussions, BDSM, domination/submission, nervousness, jealousy, shock, compromises, seduction, scenes, interference, verbal conflict, apprehension, happiness, love and some steamy scenes. I would recommend this book.
Sable Collins is desperate to locate her younger sister, Sabrina, who disappeared after contracting with a BDSM Dom. Sable goes to the one man she hopes can help her find her sister, Julian Talos. Julian is famous, in the somewhat exclusive world of BDSM. He will agree to help Sable find her sister, but he has conditions. Wow! Sizzling hot, sexy characters that will go undercover into an exclusive BDSM community in order to find a young woman who may have gotten more than she expected. Fascinating and unique plot with some danger, suspense, and a happily ever after. Fantastic book, I loved it!

To get her sister back, Sable needs to submit to her Dom This is my 2nd book by Kit and I would definitely read another. Sable’s sister is missing and she turns to her sister’s once boyfriend, Julian for help. Julian’s offer is that Sable has to play his sub to go undercover to find her sister to which she reluctantly agrees even though she is not great at obeying. Yet Julian’s patience with Sable breaks through to a need she didn’t know she had. Will they fall into the enemy’s trap trying to rescue Sable’s sister? You have to read to find out and won’t want to put the book down until you finish.
I really enjoy reading BDSM when it’s done well and seriously Kit has written such a great BDSM romance that I think most will really love and enjoy. Sable is stubborn, cynical, pigheaded and opinionated and she is of the belief that this shows independence. Sabrina is her sister and she is into the BDSM lifestyle where as Sable has some negative views of the lifestyle. Sable has lost touch with her sister so she goes to the only person she know who is in the lifestyle Julien. He knows she has a negative view of the lifestyle and he is hopeing to change her view. Read to see how he does this

Sable sister goes missing and she reaches out to the only person who can help her Julian. This story will really hook you in. You have a woman who is not into the BDSM lifestyle working with a Dom infiltrating a BDSM community and somehow this is going to work and they will find Sabrina. This is a pretty decent book, a good storyline and some very well developed characters, which is a bit surprising since this is not a long book. I am so glad I downloaded I loved the drama I loved the ending okay I loved the book. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I really enjoyed this book. Sable must find her sister Sabrina. She enlisted a celebrity Dom Julian for help in her search. That’s when this ride takes off! Sable is thrown headlong into the world of BDSM. Can they find Sabrina before it’s too late? Read & find out! No spoilers from me! This was a great read.!

I loved this book!!! This is an original well written story about a woman that will do anything to find her sister, including acting like a submissive although she is anything but. Julian the dominant character is so well written and defined it makes me want to get to know him! I love how this story comes together and although it was a happy ending I was sad that it ended because I really loved reading about these characters.
Her sister is missing when going to a BDSM club. There is only one person she can turn to. He tells her she needs to be a sub to his dom. She wants nothing to do with that world but she needs to find her sister so she agrees. How are they going to do it? Will they succeed? Will they find her sister? Will they be able to walk away once it is all over? See if they can

This character driven romantic suspense is a sweet sexy read. Written in first person the mystery of exactly what Julian thinks and feels is kept from us until he's ready to tell Sable. They both have baggage and it has hindered their past relationships, can this chemistry they have be more, can they find Sabrina?
This book is a great BDSM story that will have you writhing with the images that Kit Kyndall has portrayed. It's a great suspense story as well with twists and turns that will leave you breathless. Both of these features combine into a must read.

A missing sister who may be in danger, the BDSM world, a Dom/a non-sub, some compromise, some danger, a love story, and a sweet HEA. An enjoyable story, with likable characters...
