Grade-A Beefcakes #1

Sir Loin of Beef

Rate this book
They might call me Sir Loin of Beef, but when I see Kaitlyn for the first time, stick a fork in me, I'm done.
But I won't claim her alone. Jed Cassidy and I share everything, and that includes her. If the sweet little librarian isn't ready to be wrangled by two rodeo champs, we'll just have to break her in nice and slow. She's ours. We will win her over—body and soul—and when we do? Well, let's just say we'll give her a hard ride...and it'll last a hell of a lot longer than eight seconds.

Kaitlyn Leary takes one look at the sexy cowboys and can't remember the last time she was so eager for a double helping of... big beef. But giving in to desire might ruin everything. Because the truth is that this small town librarian isn't all she seems. Landon Duke and Jed might be talking about a future of picket fences and making babies, but the past could destroy it all. Still...two cowboys?

Who could resist?

Remember: With a Vanessa Vale book, one cowboy is never enough. In this smokin' hot series, each heroine gets an extra helping (or two) of Grade-A Beefcake.

Sir Loin Of Beef is book one in the Grade-A Beefcakes Series by Vanessa Vale. I’ve been wanting to try one of this author’s books forever so I thought this brand new series was as good a place as any to start and oh my gosh, I loved it. I love cowboys, I love ménage, and I love alpha heroes, so this book checked off every single box!

sir loin of beef vanessa vale

Meet the Duke family who run the largest cattle ranch in northwest Montana. There are three brothers and one sister. Their father has been telling them their entire lives that when they meet “the one,” they will know it immediately, like a bolt of lightening, just like he did when he met their mother.

Landon Duke and his best friend, Jed Cassidy, both rode the rodeo circuit. After Landon or “Duke” as everyone calls him, was injured, they both retired. Duke now owns and runs a construction business in their home town of Raines, Montana. And Jed owns and runs a bar. They have been friends since the beginning of elementary school. Duke’s family pretty much raised Jed. He was more than a best friend to Duke, more like a brother. They started experimenting with sharing women in college. But it was all just for fun. They believed what Duke’s father had told them. And they knew that when they found “the one” that they were going to share her.

pretty woman in glasses and bun

Kaitlyn Leary has been back in Raines for six months now. She laid eyes on the two sexy cowboys while out with her friends. They immediately swept her off her feet. She had no idea who they were, only that she was insanely attracted to them, both of them. But when she finds out what one of their names are, she runs. Only fate would be that cruel, making her feel this way, only to make him be the one man who she could never have, that would surely hate her once he knows who she is.

“This was our last first kiss. Our last first time. And it would be Kaitlyn’s too. She just didn’t know it yet.”

When Jed and Duke saw Kaitlyn in the bar, they knew. All it took was one look. She was the one for them. But, then everything went wrong. They can’t imagine what happened, why Kaitlyn ran. But when he does figure it out, Duke does everything wrong and possibly ruins his one chance at happiness.

“My body couldn’t help but respond to him. It was as if it knew him. Knew he was safe, that this was right.”

I loved this book. It was hot as heck. Just a little warning. Do NOT read this book while on a treadmill! Kaitlyn was sweet but had a toughness to her as well. And Jed and Duke were all alpha, jealous/protective heroes. This was a sweet, hot, read that I entirely enjoyed. I am anxious to see which sibling’s story is next.

I basically picked this one up to see how many "meat" references there would be (10...I counted), and about 50000 rodeo references *lol* That said, I enjoyed it quite a lot. However, I do wish Kaitlyn had made Landon grovel more though...

-- Two sexy alphas.
-- NO virgins (thank god)
-- Hot sex.
-- No OW drama (but a bit too many references to their manwhoring pasts).
-- A little OM drama.
-- Likable heroine.
-- Interesting side characters.
-- A disappointing ending.

I assume you have to signup to the author's mailing list to get an epilogue...no thank you. I prefer not to have the ending of my books held hostage until I hand over my email addy. *lol* All in all though, it was a decent read, and I'll for sure be checking out the other books in this series.

I guess that ménage books share three important points with BDSM books:

- they are totally highly unrealistic (= no research)
- they do not show the slightest knowledge about polyamory (= no research)
- they take their sex scenes straight from porn (= faulty research)

This unholy triad of excruciatingly awful writing - please forgive me the pun - makes ménage books as unreadable to polyamorists, as BDSM books are unreadable to BDSMers, with but extremely few exceptions.

Vanessa Vale's books are no such exceptions. It is very clear that the author doesn't have any hands-on knowledge, which could be forgiven with solid research. But what makes it disrespectful of polys is the fact that the sexual interaction is pulled from the sleaze and artifice of porn, and that you do not find any, not even the slightest bit of realistic personal interaction and behaviour of real poly people in this. Again, this could have been remedied by talking to at least a few poly people.

What kills me, as usual, is that so many readers take this at face value (says a poly BDSMer...).

2 Stars because it didn't have editing errors. Or at least none that I noticed.
Boring. Highly repetitive THOUGHTS. Lots and lots of THOUGHTS.
The language used that was supposed to be 'Sexy & Romantic' was just juvenile and stupid. I mean come on, how is it sexy and romantic for a guy to call your breast 'Hooters' while your having sex with him and his best friend? Nope. Not sexy at all. And the sex scenes for a MFM, good Lord do those need work. And everyone was thinking instead of doing and all the thoughts were the same dumbass thoughts they had Over & Over.

I made a few kindle notes so y'all can head over and get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
I really should have DNF'd this one.
I think this is part of a series but I have No Interest whatsoever in continuing.

It reads like a bunch of very young guys got together, got drunk and wrote this.
Even the part that should have dealt with a 'Creepy Stalker' was just glossed over.

Weird book

Should I read in order?
This is the first book in Vale’s Grade-A Beefcakes.

Basic plot:
Jed and Duke have massive dicks that meant for just one woman – they just have to find her.

Give this a try if you want:
- Contemporary romance
- M/F/M relationship
- small town romance vibes
- instalove
- medium steam – at least 2 full scenes (my notes weren’t the best) in a shorter page count and light praise kink

Ages:
- Duke is 32 (I’m assuming Jed is similar age since they were in the same grade), and Kaitlyn is mid 20s

My thoughts:
This one….okay so I wasn’t expecting anything super sophisticated. I just wanted some good threesome sex. But I couldn’t get into this one.

When you meet the characters, the heroine is very much not like other girls. She goes to a bar with her friend and her friend is just too much, too forward, dressed too slutty – and they are OKAY with that – but NOT for the one. Kaitlyn is dressed cute, she’s more reserved. And from this, they can tell she is perfect. Oh, I haven’t stated yet that these two, Jed and Duke, their giant, massive, semen filled cocks are searching for THE ONE. It was mentioned so much I started thinking (especially Duke) they had no personality other than what their cocks want. They talk about them a lot, how giant they are, how badly they want to fill one woman with their semen. THE WOMAN.

Side note. My friend and I were recently talking about helicopter dicks (anyone read Slave by Cheryl Brooks??) and how big they would have to be before a man could actually take flight. These men could accomplish it, I am sure.

And, okay I was cringing a bit, but still like maybe I would still enjoy parts of it! But then Duke does something that to me was so asinine, childish and unforgivable, I would have never given him another chance. This is called out in the story by his friends and family and then he’s like oh you’re right. So I was glad it was addressed but I just couldn’t like him after that. And how he had to be explained to about how to behave...it’s big cock little brain usage syndrome I know, but still. Maybe once he empties the massive storage of semen he will be able to think clearer.

Anyway, I liked Jed. I wish Jed and decided his partner was an idiot and ran away with Kaitlyn in a MF relationship. Or took her fun ‘slutty’ friend and lived FFM happily ever after…

(Another random side thought – these two knew in seventh grade they wanted to share everything and wanted to fuck together. Am I just old? That seemed weird to me. And someone in their life (father?? I can’t recall and don’t care) told them to wait until college. So they practice and fucked their way through school and then in college were able to come together in all the ways)

Content warnings: These should be taken as a minimum of what to expect. It’s very possible I have missed some.

Super sexy with so many feels…

This author could write the play book on ménage and Jed, Duke and Kaitlyn’s story is a prime example. Three people brought together by instant attraction, they also want more from their relationship. A physical connection is good – great in fact – but the emotional side is just as important…

The title of the book made me laugh out loud and I was happy to read the emotional story behind it that had humour thrown in as well. The heat level is scorching as the characters quickly come together in a chaotic mix of lust, desire and yearning for love. Of course there are always bumps along the road and a sweet dose of family helps them as they weather a huge curveball in their relationship.

A love-filled, desire-fueled love story that should come with a warning – bring a fan because it is going to get hot, hot, hot in here! I will have a chance to cool down as I eagerly wait for more stories from the Duke family. ~Diane, 4 stars

DNF

The story opens with our “heroes” at the bar where H#1 is aghast to discover it’s ladies night and male strippers are on tap. In a room full of women, H#1 is pretty skeeved out by seeing scantily dressed other men and then he rolls off with:
“Me, I was going to find a woman with Jed. We’d ruin her for all other men, mark her with our cum and make her ours. Yeah, mine and Jed’s. We’d shared everything since we were five. Claiming a woman together just made complete sense.”

Did he really just say that? Go ahead—read that twice. I know I did after I was done snorting out loud.

I’m gonna suppose that the characterization was going for alpha male. But with a statement like that he sounded more like a dude grasping to hold onto his toxic masculinity while struggling with closet homosexuality. I mean, here he is claiming to be put out by barely clothed male dancers while professing his lifelong goal of getting naked with another man.

All the caveman bravado wasn’t convincing me he was any kind of stud.
“I loved women… I loved pussy. The feel, the scent, the taste. My mouth watered wanting some.”

Because meanwhile, he worries about what his brothers think:
“And as for Tucker and Gus, if they thought we had a different woman in bed every night, I wasn’t going to correct them. They’d pester the shit out of me if they learned the truth. Tell me my dick would fall off if it didn’t get wet every once in a while. Same with Jed.”

Here we go with Jed again.

It certainly felt like there was a sub-context in Duke’s ramblings. I know given the title of this book, I wasn’t supposed to take this very seriously, but MY GAWD, this inner monologue was like a skit from SNL.
“…G-string clad men on the other side of the room. A side of the room I tried to avoid looking at by mixing margaritas with more vigor than necessary.”

Once again, they are in a bar packed with women and yet Duke is obsessed with the few men there before honing in on the one girl who isn’t.
“The music changed again which had her glancing over her shoulder at the latest stripper—Jesus, a cowboy with chaps, red Speedo and nothing else—then looked back. She wasn’t frowning, but she wasn’t into the strip-fest either. She looked…amused instead of aroused.

And hot, in that prim librarian sort of way. Because while others were out for a wild girls’ night in various stages of barely dressed—from short skirts and skimpy tank tops to slutty dresses and stilettos, including her friend’s sequins—she had on a crisp white blouse and jean skirt.”

So after tossing in a little slut-shaming, Duke continues with numerous references to Jed’s cum and Jed’s cock, and it read as if Duke was more interested in Jed and the girl was just a front for him to secretly live out a life with another man. Not that there’s anything wrong with two men together, but this is supposed to be a M/F/M ménage romance and I wasn't getting that vibe.

Tossed in the DNF pile @14%. Moving on.

Quick, spicy, and cute characters! These books by Vanessa Vale are easy and fun to listen to and I love the MFM relationships. Kaitlyn is sweet and kind of innocent and Duke and Jed were perfect for her. They know what they want and weren't afraid to tell Kaitlyn they wanted her. I hoped for a bit more plot, especially involving her stalker. It seemed like it might escalate to something really bad, but was sort of downplayed. There were of course some steamy romance scenes and the story flew by.

While I have come to expect good things from Vanessa Vale, this book was a prime example of why I have come to have that expectation. I honestly read the title of this book and laughed. I thought it would be funny and enjoyable but at the same time I already was wishing it could be longer so I could get more story, more detail, more everything. But once again this author manages to surprise and impress me with the way she is able to fit so much into what might be considered a little bit of story. This book isn't as long as many others that I normally read. But I really felt like I got a full story and experience.

Landon and Jed weren't the polar opposites that I sometimes get in these kind of books where there are two men for one woman, but they were a good team and exactly what our leading lady Kaitlyn needed. They have been best friends and as close as brothers since childhood and had a good connection because of that.

I really liked Kaitlyn and while I often felt bad for all the crap she had to deal with, she had a strength that was clear and made her even more likeable.

After reading this story I'm excited for what's to come in this series. There are more members of the Duke family (and their friends) that I am looking forward to seeing find their happy ending. And I know Vanessa Vale will make it a steamy, hard to put down kind of read along the way.

I....

This was so much worse than I expected. So much. Every part of it--the plot, the characters, the dialogue--felt like I'd stumbled into a restaurant which was actually a porno and all I wanted to do was eat some pancakes, but had to watch three sweaty, excessively moist asshats bang in the foyer.

ARC received for an honest review

I have to be honest with you - I only requested this book because of the name - it amused me and I thought why not.

And whilst I liked it, I didn't love it.

I was after a menage story, however it felt like more of the Duke show, it was all about him and Kaitlyn, and Jed was an afterthought. Which bugged me, because Jed was a lot nicer character IMO than Duke - but this could just be me.

For a short story, there was a quite a bit of back story, which I liked. It helped me get into the head of Kaitlyn. However I did want to know more about Duke and Jed before we met them today. I wanted to know more about his time on the rodeo circuit.

However, short stories can sometimes feel rushed, and that was how I felt with Sir Loin of Beef. Our characters went straight from Hi to I Love You in a heartbeat, and it made it feel a bit eyeroll-worthy to me. Sure, insta-lust I can get down with, but this trios instalove was just a little too much - again, this is probably just me.

My review has made it sound like I didn't like this at all, but that's not how it is. Sure, I had my issues with it, however the characters were enjoyable enough, and I will be going on to read more books in this series as it progresses.

Review also posted at The Smut Report.

This book is also part of a list featuring books we picked up solely because of the title that can be read in full at The Smut Report

Heat Factor: Two dicks for the price of one!

Character Chemistry: She is The One. Our boners tell us so.

Plot: Calling it a plot is a stretch.

Overall: This is an erotic romance about two men who share a woman, and leave the curtains open as they do the deed in the living room.

Vale sets herself up for a challenge here. Basically: how do you write a convincing possessive alpha male who once he marks his woman, will never again share her with another man – except for his BFF, who is part of the deal from the get-go? I wouldn’t say she necessarily succeeds in writing a believable dynamic between our duo of dudes and the woman they desire. But the sex is hot, so it depends on what you’re looking for in your next dose of smut.

NOTE: I will be quoting from the book here, and the language is pretty graphic. Not only does the threesome have some sexytimes, they spend a lot of the book thinking about sexytimes (both generally and specifically). If you don’t want to read about portions of human anatomy rubbing together in various ways, maybe skip this review.

Ok, let’s start with the alpha male dilemma. The premise here is that Duke and Jed have been best friends since they were five. Now they are grown ass men, and are still sticking to a pact they made in 7th grade:

Me, I was going to find a woman with Jed. We’d ruin her for all other men, mark her with our cum and make her ours. Yeah, mine and Jed’s. We’d shared everything since we were five. Claiming a woman together just made complete sense.

I read that, and was like “Good God! Who sticks to a pact they made about their sex lives when they were twelve!” However, based on how much they talk about watching their cum mix together on the woman who is The One, and how hot it’s going to be, I guess really they’re just lucky that they have a common turn on and were able to find it so early. Anyways, here’s how they talk about the relationship they will have to their woman:

Duke and I would share her. No one else. The thought of any guy seeing her gorgeous body, even her fucking panties, made me want to poke their eyes out.

This tension of the possessive alpha male who shares very very selectively just… didn’t work for me. Every time I read a passage like the one I just quoted, I couldn’t help but feel skeptical about this relationship was actually going to work, in the nitty-gritty day-to-day sense of things. Like: they want to get married and have kids with this woman (“I was looking for commitment. Long term. Picket fences and all that. To settle down with the perfect woman, the perfect pussy and never look back.”) (Please Note: I’ll come back to the comment about “the perfect pussy.”), but… who will legally marry her? I’m pretty sure bigamy is still illegal. Who will have custody of the kids? Obviously, there are polyamorous families out there who have worked this out, but I see no evidence that Duke and Jed have thought about these kinds of issues. And on a more basic level – if you are both Super Alphas, who gets first dibs at the end of the day?

The answer to that final question seems to be: Duke. This relationship is ostensibly an equal partnership between Duke and Jed, but Jed is much less well-developed as a character, and frankly seems like an afterthought. Kaitlyn, the heroine, will fantasize about Duke, and then be like, “Oh yeah, and Jed was super hot too.” Duke always gets Kaitlyn off first. And when Duke makes a supreme ass of himself over some family history that is in no way Kaitlyn’s fault, it isn’t Jed who talks him down and tells him that he was a jerk – it is Duke’s brothers who do so. (I mean, props for Vale showing adult men having a real conversation about relationships and emotion, but this was a missed opportunity to actually show the relationship between Duke and Jed, beyond just talking about the fact that it was thirty years strong.)

It is also important to note that both men are only interested in sexual activities with women. They may both touch her, both watch her getting off, and even simultaneously penetrate her, but they are definitely definitely definitely not gay. (As Justin Timberlake has taught us, it’s not gay if it’s in a three-way.) We know this because the opening scene involves male strippers and repeated references to eye- and brain-bleach. The cowboys protest too much, methinks, but at least they are very open about being poly.

As promised, I also want to address the fact that Duke and Jed frame their hunt for The One in terms of finding the “perfect pussy.” Amazingly, the men focus in on The One (her name is Kaitlyn, let’s call her by her name now) and both know that she is It within seconds of seeing her, because they are that in tune with each others’ desires. The three of them then go and have some anonymous fun in the back room of a bar, and it is everything that anyone could have hoped for. And based on this one evening, and how sexually responsive everyone is, all three of them decide that clearly, the next step is commitment to a threesome for the rest of their lives. Kaitlyn, like Duke and Jed, seems uninterested in logistics or the social status of joining a long-term triad – even though the “conflict” in the story stems from her perceived social status as the daughter of the town drunk, so she knows first-hand that small towns can be closed-minded. I CALL SHENANIGANS!

Look, I get that this is a fantasy, and that some smut leans more heavily into the fantasy wish-fulfillment than others do, but this was too much for me. If you want to write straight up erotica, that’s cool, but couching it in terms of the perfect HEA where conflicts will no longer happen because The Men in Your Life will now take care of you is supreme bullshit.

If you want to read some M/M/F action and not think about logistics or anything besides sexy sexy alpha men bringing lots of pleasure to a lucky woman, then this book ticks the boxes. If you want to read a thoughtful exploration of what it might mean to maintain a polyamorous triad that also includes some excellent sexytimes, look elsewhere.

2.5 stars at best, and I don't get the high ratings, for a mix of stupid plot and characters combined with OTT erotica. All the characters are ridiculous parodies. The h feels guilty because her drunken father had an accident, she's guilty because she called him for a ride home, when she was 10! If we are told once, we are told so many times that the Hs are 'beefy', with enormous muscles and xxx, it easy to see they had very little in the way of brains. To add to the 'angst', she has a stalker too. Just no - too silly.

Let me start off this review by admitting, i honestly requested this novel for the title! OMG...that is definitely original and freaking epic!

Sir Loin Of Beef is a menage story that focuses on MFM romance. Duke and Jed grew up as best friends and shared everything. They always knew they would grow up to eventually share a woman, but the right woman never came along. Until Kaitlyn Leary walks into Jed Cassidy's bar.

Kaitlyn Leary hasn't had the best luck with relationships. Given the fact that her father was a drunk and her ex is a serious stalker. I don't really blame her for not wanting to invest herself in a relationship. When she finally agrees to a night out on the town with her best friend Ava, she never in a million years would have imagined herself lusting over not one but two beefcakes, until it happens.

My thoughts:

Ahhh, the cover and the title seriously drew me into requesting this book. Also the fact that Vanessa Vale's novels are easy and fast paced reads gave this one an added bonus. I've read several of Vanessa Vale's menage romances and I have to say, I love the alpha vibes she brings to the table. However, even though i did like this story, Something about it felt flat to me. This is a three point of view story but somehow it felt like two point of views outshined the third. I get that this novel is technically titled after Duke, but given the fact that this novel is told in three point of views I expected a little more in regards to Jed.

Overall, If you're looking for a novel with an extreme Insta-Love vibes and loads of hot sexy times involving two beefed out alpha males, than this one is definitely for you.
It just lacked a little something something for me.

Woah
Sizzling !!

In Short
- Jed and Landon are funny, charming and entertaining.
- Hot, steamy and sizzling!

In Long
Sizzling, scorching, hot, steamy. Getting the idea?

Landon and Jed are best friends who are more like brothers. Their relationship is funny, charming and damn right entertaining. There are a few scenes where I totally fell for these two, although they are a little cocky, they are so addictive and I just wanted more scenes of them together. When they meet Kaitlyn they really come out of themselves and the cockiness makes way for the charm. I don't know about Kaitlyn but I definitely fell for them.

Kaitlyn is a sweet girl who holds on to her past through a strong feeling of guilt. She changes the way she lives to be considerate to those who were effected and I felt so much for her, I often wanted to wrap her up in cotton wool. When Landon and Jed take her under their wing I want to jump for joy.

Honestly, there were quite a few scenes where I was reading with my mouth open, the scenes are so intensely HOT and saucy.

Final Thoughts
Sir Loin of Beef is a quick read which was really enjoyable. I loved the characters and would have loved to spend more time with them and the book be a bit longer but I will take what I can get for sure. I can not wait for the rest of the series and getting to know the other Dukes as well as hopefully see these three again.

This book is....HOT! The first book in what promises to be a sizzling series! As with a lot of books by this author, it does focus on a MFM relationship, and love at first sight is a must! This book hooked me right away, and I finished it in one sitting!

Kaitlyn is a woman who had a bad childhood. She's moved back to her childhood home, hoping to make a life there. One night while out with friends..... well, you know how it goes! Things get a little crazy, a little heated, and one thing leads to another. But really, a wild night leads to love in all the wrong places.

This book has a bit of everything to keep it interesting: family feuds, crazy stalker exs, and dirty talking cowboys. But in the end, love conquers all, and family is most important. This book was a fun, easy read, with just enough seriousness to keep it down to earth.

Vanessa Vale has done it again. After reading her Montana series I was ready to read one of her menage series and she did not disappoint. I loved Beefcake.

Kaitlyn has come back to town after her father died. She thinks she can finally come to terms with how her family left the town. But when she is in the middle of two of the hottest men she has ever seen and finds out one of them is part of the family her father almost ruined she runs for the hills before he can find out who she is.

Jed and Duke have always shared everything. They are best friends and it just always came naturally. But they are tired of one night stands and are ready for the one. When Kaitlyn shows up at Jed's bar they feel like she is the one. But when Duke finds out who her father is all hell breaks loose between everyone.

I really enjoyed this story. What a way to start a series. Can't wait to read the others!

Reviewed on behalf of http://bookaddict.blog,
Sir Loin of Beef is the first in a new series by Vanessa Vale, and Sir Loin of Beef is a nickname Landan Duke was given when he was on the rodeo circuit. Now retired and back in his home town, Duke and Jed are searching for the one women that will be their forever woman.
Kaitlyn Leary is attending a Ladies night with her friend Ava. Coming straight from work and still in her more formal clothes. Ava is super attractive but Jed and Landon are both staring at Kaitlyn, so they try to find out more about her.
Well the rest is the fun in the claiming of the town’s librarian by Sir Loin and Jed and the ups and downs until their Happily Ever After. A quick read with lots of fun from our first Grade A Beefcake. A Fun and fast read with lots of naughty with a fun librarian. You know what to expect from a Vanessa Vale Cowboy book and this had it all. It certainly put a big smile on my face.

2.5 Star review
I finished Sir Loin of Beef and honestly not a fan of the story. The story starts off with very little backstory or character development. We learn straight away that Duke and his BFF Jed like to share, but instead of this being a mutual menage story, it feels more like Duke's story. It was hard for me to read because Jed had to keep reminding Duke that it was 'us' instead of 'me'. Like my house instead of our house. If they truly wanted to share then wouldn't those pronouns be common to use?
Then there is the issue of how the main character doesn't know the guy's names who are fingering her backstage but then starts referring to Mr. Big as Duke, seriously? Then add in the grammatical and punctuation errors and you get a less than perfect story.
It felt rushed, and the story could have been flushed out more to make this a much better story.

This was my first Vanessa Vale book and I have been intrigued for a while and finally couldn't pass up the chance to get my hands on one. I mean how can I after reading that blurb??? I couldn't that's for sure and boy am I glad that I checked it out.

The chemistry between the three main characters was off the charts hot. She isn't like most girls and she isn't out to draw attention or find a man. She is irresistible to Duke and Jed and they are determined to have her. Turns out that for once in their life getting the woman they want won't be so easy, especially when anger gets the better of one and things get ruined before they get started.

I can't wait to see what the rest of this series holds in store for us. This was a good introduction to a new to me author and I'm excited to get more!

I love menage so when this book came out, I knew I had to read it. Plus I love the authors books so that helped. Duke and Jed share everything so when they see Kaitlyn, they think they have found "The One". Only Kaitlyn doesn't tell them who she is or what has happened in the past that involves Duke's family. When he finds out who she is, he suddenly wants nothing to do with her!! He can't get past who she is. Will she take both him and Jed back after he realizes what a jerk he was? There is a little bit of drama with a guy who thinks she should be with him but it's not that bad. The only thing I think would have made it better was if Kaitlyn would have made Duke grovel more since he screwed things up between the three of them but it all still worked out good. I already have the next book in this series preordered and I can't wait to read it!

4 Stars!

Vanessa Vale is a must read for me when I want something quick, sweet, dirty, laugh out loud, and hot. She's a master of those things and just gets me every single time. So when I saw the names of the books in this new series, I knew I could not miss out. Plus who doesn't love a sexy little menage?

Sir Loin of Beef was everything I knew it V would be with two irresistible cowboys and one woman they can't let go. You'll swoon, giggle, laugh, and fall head over heels in love. These three were totally unforgettable in every way.

I definitely recommend this book.
