ENGLISH: This is the first time I've seen this play (which was performed years ago at Spanish TV Program Estudio 1), although I had studied it in high school, in The History of Literature.

During the eighty-year war for the independence of Flanders, in the time of Philip II, a wounded Spanish captain must leave his Tercio, marries a Flemish girl, with whom he has a son, and feels shaken by his simultaneous belonging to the two conflicting societies.
