Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres, Book 2) by Noelle Adams

A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls, Book 4) by Samantha Chase

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour, Book 8) by Zoe York

This was a cute three-story collection I got in a freebie on Amazon. All of these were cute. In the first, we have a set of enemies-to-lovers snowed in at a cottage on a Christmas tree farm. Yes please! The sniping and tension was great! And then in the second we have a Christmas-happy receptionist and a Scrooge of a veterinarian who secretly may have a soft heart. I am such a sucker for sweet animal scenes, so this was a favorite. And the level of holiday cuteness was at five candy canes, so an extra treat!

This review is for Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams

I love a good enemies to lovers so I was ready for Olivia and Scott. Scott has grated on Olivia for years now and the fact that there is bad blood between their families doesn’t help. Although Scott has let go of a lot of the anger from previous years, now he’s such a huge player and Olivia shouldn’t find him attractive. When a snow storm strands them at one of the Holiday cottages, she finds out that there is so much more to him and that the man she thought she knew him to be is just a façade.

I loved this couple and their crazy bickering ways. Scott knew just how to get Olivia riled and she was always determined to win their verbal sparring matches. I was shocked and heartbroken to learn of Scott’s past and the reasoning behind much of his decisions as an adult. But I loved that this couple’s beginning was actually years in the making and that something as simple as model cars could be a turning point.

This is a fast paced read that’s perfect for an afternoon. The chemistry between these two was obvious and well written. This storm has set up the other characters with the potential for confrontation with their soon to be heroes/heroines and I can’t wait to read how the members of these two families finally find their ever after.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Snowed in for Christmas is a collection of three holiday novellas that combine the sweetness of a Hallmark movie with the steaminess that us romance readers love. Stranded in the Snow turned out to be my favorite story out of the three and I definitely plan on reading more of the Holiday Acres books to find out more about the Holiday sisters. All 3 stories were paced with the usual quickness of a novella and held my attention throughout. I really enjoyed the fun banter, unexpected pregnancies, and snowed in fun that filled these pages. If I ever get snowed in, I definitely hope it can have a similar outcome!

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres, Book 2) by Noelle Adams -This was a cute, haters to lovers romance. While part of a series surrounding Holiday Acres and two families it will work as a standalone. The series put me in mind of the Hatfields and the McCoys. Friendship and disputes over land. Scott and Olivia were childhood friends, both crushed on the other and somehow that chemistry has turned into haters to lovers, I can’t stand you banter. When the two get trapped in the snow they seek shelter at guest cabin. Snow, sparks and a roaring fire await you....

A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls, Book 4) by Samantha Chase-  A grumpy Veterinarian, and a cookie baking receptionist bicker over holiday decorations and end up snowed in together after a dog rescue. Puppies, cookies, and fun between the sheets might just melt the Grinch’s heart. This was a fun, easy flowing romance with little drama and cute animals. I wouldn’t mind visiting Silver Bell Falls again.

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour, Book 8) by Zoe York - I felt a little out on the loop for this romance. It is a second chance romance, and it looks like perhaps the other books in the series share more of their story. Tom is trying to win her back after mistakes. I will admit I am curious enough to try this author and the series, both of which are new to me. As a standalone however, this fell short. This review was originally posted at Caffeinated Reviewer

An enjoyable trio of novellas. I am always hesitant when I read a novella. The short nature means that the characters have to already know each other and sometimes it feels like you missed something. The first two, Noelle Adams and Samantha Chase, managed to avoid that scenario. Both were cute stories that felt complete; Stranded in the Snow by Adams was my favorite. Unfortunately, I felt like I walked into the middle of a movie when I was reading the Zoe York novella. I'm sure the followers of her Pine Harbour series will enjoy it, but I was a bit lost since I didn't read the first 7. Altogether, though, a fun holiday read.

Snowed in for Christmas is a collection of 3 short stories by Noelle Adams, Zoe York, and Samantha Chase. Each story is brand new and it belongs in a different series, but they can be read as stand-alone. I only wished for a little more information on the characters and the background in the story "Love on the Edge of Reason". I felt like this novella was only a part of their story and I think that is because Tom is trying to win Chloe back after he messed things up. Love on the Edge of Reason was my least favorite story in the book, but it was a medium one and not very bad.

A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase is the most complicated story when it comes to the main characters. The hero, Gavin, is a complex character and he didn't have a happy past. He has his reasons for not wanting to decorate his clinic but the heroine doesn't know it which leads them to have an argument and later get stranded in his house/clinic where they get to know each other better. Gavin is the character who gets the most detailed background and development and to be honest he is the one who needs it. Their story was good and I liked equally both characters. I wanted to see more of them and I will try to follow the series. Samantha Chase is one of my favorite authors and I always enjoy her writing. To be fair, I didn't begin the story knowing that I will like it, I was just reading the next story in the book ( I don't think I even noticed the author's name) and I found myself enjoying it a lot and getting invested in these characters. The mentions of animals were always a plus, but I stayed for the grumpy vet and the woman who was going to change his life.

Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams is the first story in this book and for some reason the last I chose to review. In this story, we have Scott and Olivia. Their fathers had some feud in the past and that lead to some hate between the two families. Most of that was mended in the first book I guess, but Scott didn't react so well when Olivia came bearing an olive branch and since then their relationship was so bad one could call them enemies. Thinking about my feelings when it came to this book made me realize that I only think of one word. Miscommunication. Scott and Olivia could have had their happy ending long before they got it if they had said something. Both of them were good characters and I liked them. Scott admits that he is the wrong party here and I liked that about him. He was honest and there was 0 drama. I wanted some angst and I have come to expect some from Noelle Adams. It was a sweet story.

What a wonderfully festive collection of holiday stories. All of them are sure to put you in the mood for a warm fire and some hot chocolate.

Holiday Acres

Loved this one! What happens when you get snowed in with the person you love to hate. What happens when all your true feelings come out? A super explosive, passionate night between the sheets! Loved the history between Olivia and Scott. Enjoyed the story so much, I want to read the rest of the series!

Pine Harbour #8

Another couple stranded by the snow. These two have a booty call history. I surprise baby sends Chloe running but Tom is hot on her trail. His reaction wasn't the best. ONce he finds her, he keeps her safe until the roads clear and ends up warming her heart while he is at it. Great to catch up with some of the other Pine Harbour couples as well. Can't wait to see if these two pop up in future stories!

Wonderful Forced Proximity Trilogy! I’m a sucker for forced proximity and with Snowed in For Christmas I got not one but three stories!

Both Noelle Adams’ and Samantha Chase’s stories are enemies to lover as well as forced proximity while Zoe York’s is a bit more second chance-ish with maybe friends to lovers too.

Noelle Adams’ story felt a little dragged out because both the hero and heroine hated the other because they thought the other hated them but didn’t. See? Totally could’ve solved that with a quick talk! But overall it was a good story and felt like it set up the rest of her series nicely.

Samantha Chase’s story was my favorite because I love the enemies to lovers when it’s really more adversaries to lovers and this one also has cute doggies!!! Despite being a novella Chase fully developed back stories for both the lead characters while easily fitting them into her Silver Bell Falls world so the story felt deep and emotional with her trademark humor...and did I mention the doggies?!

Zoe York’s was my least favorite of the three and that’s because I felt like I was missing half the story. I got the feeling that this story started in a book earlier in the series because I wasn’t sure if these two were really friends to lovers or just a hook-up that got serious quickly or...I don’t know. I was able to enjoy the story but did feel like I would’ve connected a lot more if I had read the rest of the series *full disclosure here: I’m crazy uptight about reading series in order so it’s entirely possible that most readers won’t have any issues*

Holiday Acres #2:

Another Noelle Adams story I absolutely ADORED. The characters were so well developed and I loved the storyline! ALL THE STARS

Silver Bell Falls #4:

Not too big a fan of this story, I liked the set-up but the character development seemed a bit abrupt at times. THREE STARS

Pin Harbour #8:

I have to admit I didn't read this last one.. The synopsis didn't interest me much. If I read it later I'll update the review ;)

I'm in the mood for love. Aren't you? Tis the season for feel good stories that ward off the chill and make the heart rejoice. Snowed in for Christmas makes for a great stocking stuffer. Three unforgettable voices unite in a song of courageous hope, irresistible romance and powerful storytelling. Chase, York and Adams remind us there's a hint of grinch in us all, but a bad attitude does not hide a pure heart. Fun, flirty and heartwarming. Chase away those winter blues with the healing power of love.

I received a free copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.

Overall: 4 stars — It seems for me that I always end up liking the first book the best…but I’m probably misremembering. That was definitely the case here though! It started off really strong, but all the books were solid Christmas reads. It was interesting to see how each author took the “snowed in together” trope and made it their own.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams

4.5 stars — I was easily invested in Scott and Olivia, it surprised me a bit. I tend to be wary of enemies to lovers tropes, and since this one was based on a lot of misunderstandings and assumptions I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it (because I hate the assumptions game). I think I was just surprised by both characters, in the best way, and I couldn’t help but love them both. I was surprised by a lot of the things we learned about Scott’s past, and it made my heart hurt for him. My heart also ached for Olivia and the childhood stigma’s she was still struggling with. Basically it had more depth than I was expecting, characters that I connected with, and the romantic chemistry was solid. I’ll definitely be looking for the other books in this series!

A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase

3.75 stars — There was so much I enjoyed about this book, cute characters, interesting backstory. But I couldn’t get over how genuinely annoyed Gavin was with Bailey’s chatty personality. I never really got the impression that he figured out that his attitude was clouding it. I don’t know. It’s a silly thing to get hung up on. But every time I would be enjoying their chemistry, I would get hit by a moment where one or the other really didn’t like the other. But, bonus: puppies!

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour #8) by Zoe York

3.5 stars — I don’t think I quite understood Chloe’s hangups…like I got them to a point, but not to the degree she pushed Tom away. They were kind of a strange couple. I wonder if it’s partly that the short novella form hindered us getting background on them. Basically it was a cute Christmas story, but it didn’t blow me away. And I wouldn’t have minded an epilogue to find out how things went. Also, this was one had the poorest editing.

Whew! That was a bit more descriptive sex than I bargained for!

I have read Samantha Chase previously, and she writes fairly typical contemporary romance novels. I have not read anything by Noelle Adams or Zoe York and their sex scenes were definitely a bit more intense than what I typically read! Not sure they will be going on my list of new authors to keep reading....

Other than that, pretty run-of-the-mill Christmas romance anthology. Each story features a M/F pairing that gets snowed in at some type of isolated cabin with a roaring fire, close quarters, one bed, and limited heat so that body friction is critical to prevent freezing. The couple in the first story probably could have melted a path home through the snow based solely on the number of orgasms these people had.

Each coupling starts their two days of isolation borderline hating each other, but all it takes is 48-hours to fall madly in love and profess undying devotion.

Short, cute, and exactly as advertised.

Snowed in for Christmas

Stranded in the Snow
Olivia Holiday used to have a crush on Scott Matheson, that is until he got older and changed into and irrigate jerk. Scott has always had a crush on Olivia but never thought it was possible for them to be together. Until one snow storm changed it all. This was a great story, sexy and fun. It was a wonderful enemies to lover story. Looking forward to more from this series!

A Christmas Rescue
Bailey loves all things Christmas so Silver Bell Falls is the perfect place for her to live. To bad her grumpy boss Dr. Gavin Maguire doesn’t seem to like Christmas or people really. Until one bad snow storm changes things. I loved this story. The characters were great and so was the storyline. The story actually made me feel a little bad for Dr. Maguire, but I love how Bailey was able to help him. There were several touching moments and of course several romantic ones also. I truly enjoyed read A Christmas Rescue, and wish there was a Silver Bell Falls I could visit!

Love on the Edge of Reason
Chloe the spunky town librarian has been in sort of in a relationship with Tom for about a year now, although they would not have really called it that. When she finds out she is pregnant she panics and takes off. Tom is determined to find her and make things right. This story definitely had a playful side to it, it was sweet and had a good ending.

Three great stories, by three wonderful Authors. None of them feel
rushed like novellas can. They were all
full of fun, sweet, and sexy moments. Overall it was a wonderful read, especially right before the Holidays. These stories are making me think Maybe being stranded isn’t so bad after all!

This is book has 3 stories in one. I love Chritmas romances and this one is perfect for the season. First story is from Noelle Adams call Holiday Acres. Olivia Holiday and Scott Matheson has known each other since they were little. Their fathers were friends until Olivias dad betrayed Scott's dad. The 2 families had bad blood between them, but the Holidays tried to make it better and some of the Matheson's accepted their apologies and forgave them. Olivia hated Scott but couldn't help that she also found him attractive. Scott was brought in by the bride to be to take pictures of her upcoming wedding and she was using one of the venues and cabins ar Holiday Acres. Scott wanted to take a tour and take pictures of the cabin that the bride and groom was going to stay in on their wedding night. Olivia was the one that had to show him. As they were heading to the cabin as the snow was coming down, what they didn't expect was to get snowed in at the cabin. Things weren't going so well at first and Olivia wasn't very happy about the situation nor was Scott. They both finally decided to call a truce and things started to escalate and they both realized that they really didn't hate one another but had always had feeling for one another. This story is a wonderful story of enemies to lovers. Noelle is an awesome story teller and will suck u in..
The second story is by Samantha Chase called Christmas Rescue. It's another novella from Silver Bell Falls Series. I loved this one just as much as I loved the others in this series. Christmas Rescue was about a new young veterinarian who had come to Silver Bell Falls to take over the clinic. Little did he know that his whole world would change a year in to owning the practice. Bailey Walsh worked at the clinic as the office manager and was always butting heads with the ever handsome Dr. Gavin Maguire. Bailey really liked the doctor but didn't know how to approach him as he was always out of reach. Gavin had a rough up bringing. So he kept everyone at arms reach, not letting anyone in. Bailey and the girls decided to decorate the clinic and Gavin wasn't very happy and told the girls to take the decorations down, Bailey did no such thing. She took to heart that he would fire her for not putting the decorations back up so she put her resignation in. That day Bailey resigned she didn't think anything of it and was packing up her stuff and getting ready to leave when Gavin called her into his office to talk about her letter. But that talk got pushed aside when Gavin got a call from Matt a guy that runs a homeless shelter in the next town. There was a pregnant dog in distress and Gavin had to get to her, Bailey asked if he needed help and Gavin took her up on her offer. As the drove to the next town it started snowing harder. Gavin found the homeless man and his pregnant dog and talked with him and was able to take her with to the clinic to look after her, she was in labor but it wasn't progressing like it should. Once back at the clinic they sprang into action to get her stable and soon after labor had picked up and the puppies were coming.. Bailey and Gavin worked together to make sure that momma and babies were healthy and doing good. Bailey had decided it was time to head home but when she went to leave it was a white out and he car was practically buried in snow, Gavin had to get not to leave but she didn't think it was a good thing to do. So she got into her car and started it up only to feel hopeless and new she wasn't gonna be going anywhere anytime soon. Gavin came to her and offered her a place out of the cold. After a while things started to turn in a different direction and Bailey found herself tell him that she liked him and he had said the same, the spent a few nights together snowed in and taking care of the dogs and falling in love with one another. I love a good romance book where the couple realizes that they are ment to be together. This book goes great with the rest of the Silver Bell Falls series.
The third story is by Zoe York called Love on the Edge of Reason it's the 8th book in The Pine Harbour Series. This story started out with Chloe meeting Tom at his work, He had wanted to show her something as well as tell her how he felt. They climbed the watch tower and sat and watched to see if the deer would appear. Their relationship was totally physical. Tom had fallen for Chloe for the start but kept it to himself as that was my what they had agreed upon. Chloe had gotten upset with Tom and blurted out that she was pregnant with his child, then ran off before Tom could stop her. He found her a couple days later, on Christmas Eve in fact. Chloe had agreed to let Tom see her, little did she know he would work his way back into her life and arms. Tom had spilt his soul to her and how much he wanted her and their child. This was a really good second chance at love novella. I am gonna have to read the first 7 books in this series. Zoe York is a new to me author and now is a favorite.

Snowed In For Christmas
Noelle Adams, Samantha Chase, Zoe York

Stranded In The Snow
Holiday Acres #2
Noelle Adams
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Sweet, and hot in the freaking cold. This was almost funny the way the story was told. I’ve heard of enemies to lovers, but Olivia and Scott are a whole new level. Olivia Holiday is the ultimate hothead, she pretty much despises Scott Matheson on a whole new level. For Scott he can’t stand any of the Holiday girls, their father had deliberately cheated out the Matheson family into part of the family business.

While working on a shoot for an upcoming wedding at Holiday Acres, Scott has the “wonderful opportunity” to spend some quality time with Olivia. Yep, enter all the curse words, angry girl scowls and attitude. Olivia has to show him a beautiful little cottage, but it’s been snowing and you know what that means. Yep, caught in a snow storm, no electricity, blazing fire 🔥 and so much sexual chemistry that should have kept them warm in its own. These two are so clueless, but so creaking hot for each other.

But with all that hate, brings in vulnerability towards each other. To each other, Scott has always been a womaniser and Olivia, the uptight pretty girl, but on one night they will discover a new side to each other. In the heat of the night ( the story, not the song) Scott will open himself to Olivia, and Olivia will drop that guard to show her true feelings towards Scott. It seems both have been living a lie, and one night will open up a future that may or may not happen, when minutes after giving themselves so beautifully he breaks Olivia apart.

With one night, a world of abandon, hate, betrayal and a killer snow storm Olivia and Scott will come face to face with a new truth. Join in this beautiful journey of rediscovery and new beginnings if you open you mind and heart.

Christmas In The Snow
A Silver Bell Falls Holiday Novella
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

While I’m normally a huge fan of Samantha Chase, this story just missed something for me. I didn’t mark down my star rating because I think it may have had to do with Dr Maguire, I disliked everything about him, yet I wanted to keep reading, and as I did, I saw a different side to Dr Grinch, and a special note: not everyone has that perfect life, never take someone for granted because you never know what’s happening/ happened to them with what life throws at you.

Bailey loves her job at the vet clinic where she works in a Silver Bell Falls. The people are wonderful, the pets make her smile and her co workers are great people. The same cannot be said for her boss. He is mean, nasty and has zero Christmas spirit. With much tension between Dr Gavin Maguire and Bailey at defcon 5, an explosion is about to occur.

As a snow storm takes over Silver Bell Falls, Gavin and bailey are caught up in the surgery with a pregnant dog, multiple puppies and no way for her to leave. Staying in with the Good Doctor is all wrong. But with a lot of snow stopping them from going anywhere a night in will change everything. The always bubbly Bailey will open up to her boss, but it is what he tells her that will change everything. Soon their one night turns to truths, anger, tears and well good old fashion lovin’. The Veterinarian knows how to treat an animal , he’s about to get a crash course on one woman who will forever change his outlook on everything from the people of Silver Bell Falls, treating of others and his bed manor… phew!

Love On The Edge Of Reason
Pine Harbour book 8
Zoe York
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ooh tough one this story. After 2 sweet Christmas stories, this one was a bit more gritty and I struggled a little continuing to the end, but alas I did. I guess not every story can be the same… this one just seemed so different.

Tom and Chloe had a deal. Great sex, no relationship, easy… Until she fell pregnant and she told Tom in a rage (that basically continued all the way through). Now she has run off on Christmas Eve, leaving the small town that she called home in a snow storm to sit in self pity.

Once Tom discovers where his Chloe has gone, he chases after her. He might not be father material, and it’s not something he imagined but he will find Chloe and make her see sense, that it was never just sex to him. Tom always loved Chloe but proving it is another thing.
Snow storms, indoor fires, no where to hide and a few snowball fights will open up a very difficult couple entering a whole new chapter.

I love anthologies. Quick stories by several authors...it’s like getting a story buffet! I’m not going to lie - I decided to read this one because of the Zoe York submission (because I love her Pine Harbour series!).

Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams
Right off the bat this one started out a bit off for me. I just don’t get the whole “I hate your guts, but holy smokes you are SO HOT I can’t help drooling over you” schtick. And for me, this story never got better. Scott and Olivia grew up together on neighboring farms. Their fathers had a bad history between them, but Olivia’s three sisters and Scott’s two brothers are all trying to put it behind them. Olivia and Scott, though, have a very combative relationship.

When they end up stranded in a cabin during a blizzard, they go from arguing about everything to sharing their deepest secrets, and decide they are in love within a week.

It took me four days to read this short story, so that should tell you how much I didn’t enjoy it. I couldn’t get into the characters, and other than a compelling backstory for the hero, all these two did was argue.

One star for Stranded in the Snow.

A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase
Eh, another average story. Grumpy veterinarian actually has a heart of gold, and it takes his spunky, friendly receptionist to bring out the best in him while they help a mother dog (who is owned by a homeless man), deliver puppies. The remarkable transformation takes three days...

I think this author just may not be my cup of tea - I’ve read a couple other of her books, and didn’t really enjoy them (one of them I DNFed at 35%).

Two stars for A Christmas Rescue.

Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York
Zoe York is one of my go-to authors for good, solid, feel-good stories. But this one left me feeling as cold as the blizzard that is taking place during the book.

Tom and Chloe have had a friends-with-benefits arrangement for the past year. Shortly after notifying Tom that she’s pregnant (like seriously, they say two more sentences to each other and she runs off), Chloe disappears, forcing Tom to hunt her down where she’s holed up in a cabin. Since there’s a blizzard, they’re stranded together for a couple days, forced to work through their issues. Only, they really don’t.

This one started out like it was already in the middle of the story, so it was hard to get some traction towards having a connection with the couple. Even giving some leeway for it being a novella, this story was lacking in everything: plot development, character development, meaningful dialogue between the couple. UGH, I can’t even tell you how much I disliked this story, or how disappointed I am - with Love on the Edge of Reason, and this whole collection of stories. I’m totally feeling BAH HUMBUG right now, and I’m not happy about it!

One star for Love on the Edge of Reason.

So, I'm giving one star for this whole anthology (clearly everyone else read a different book, because I was not amused in the least by any of these stories), which took me 10 days to read. TEN!!! I never take that long to read anything! Also, I'm wishing I had read this back in October when it was released, because then it wouldn't have had me feeling like Scrooge in the month of December. But at the time I just wasn't in the mood to read Christmas stories. Lesson learned for next time, I guess.

Loved this book. Stranded in the Snow brings us up close with Olivia and Scott who hate each other.
When a winter storm blows in and Scott and Olivia are stranded at the honeymoon cottage on her family's farm, it brings out the worst and finally the best in both of them. This was a great story with a lot of heart.
A Christmas Rescue- fantastic story about an ornery new Vet in town who refuses to allow any Holiday decorations in the office. The whole town of Silver Bells is decked out and yet, the Vet clinic has nothing. Only a testy Vet who clearly has a heart for animals but not people. The girls who work at the clinic have had enough, and he does overhear them talking about him. They decide a few days before Christmas to pull out the decorations and let the chips fall where they may. Bailey who is the front desk worker and office manager and keeps the clinic running smoothly endures the brunt of his anger when he sees the decorations. When he orders her to take them down or be fired, she refuses.
Hannah and Amber the other two clinic workers take them down, they don't want Bailey fired and clearly this whole idea backfired royally. Bailey has been struggling with her feeling about working there because he's so difficult and doesn't communicate. This was her last straw. Her resignation winds up on his desk at the end of the day. Along with a blistering snowstorm. When he's called out on an emergency she goes along and brings the pregnant dog back, only to find herself trapped in by the snow. He tries to be nice. In his own way. She's on edge. He deflects any sort of question about himself. When the storm passes after they spend the weekend together, Bailey leaves taking her personal items and leaves the key for the office. She's done. What happens after that is .. read the book. This story made me want to read the other books about the town of Silver Bells.
Love On the Edge of Reason- Pine Harbor series book 8. I loved this series of books and this is part of Tom and Chloe's story. They have an usual relationship/arrangement. When something happens to throw them off course, Tom reacts poorly, Chloe leaves, packs her apartment, quits her job and seeks refuge on the island in a cottage that has very few things. Chloe needs time and a place to think and plan. A storm had moved in and Chloe was isolated at the cottage. Tom didn't know where she was and with a little help located her and manages to get there before they're marooned during this blizzard. They have so much to work out and so many things unsaid. The struggle to find some common ground. Great story.
I'm not a big Christmas story reader, but the pull of these wonderful authors and the stories hooked me and I'm more than happy I read this one. Not to be missed.

The first book, “Stranded in the Snow,” is about Olivia and Scott, mortal enemies for years, getting stuck together in her family's empty honeymoon cabin rental during a snowstorm. Great premise, but unfortunately, that’s the only thing great about this one. Olivia is annoyingly petulant, opinionated and immature. She doesn’t even like Scott, but when she finds out he has an issue with sex, she decides she’s going to fix it for him. With sex. And the sexy talk in the bedroom? “I’m doing you first. Then you can do me if you want.” Ugh. I kept reading, hoping for something redeeming in this story, but it simply wasn’t there for me. I suggest you skip it and move on to the next two, because those are really great.

“A Christmas Rescue” features veterinarian Gavin McGuire and his receptionist Bailey who get stuck together at the animal clinic during a snowstorm. Bailey submits her resignation over Gavin's Grinchy attitude about Christmas decorations but then accompanies him on an emergency to care for a homeless man's pregnant dog in labor distress. By the time they return to the clinic and all the puppies have been delivered safely, the snowstorm has made it too treacherous for Bailey to drive home. Gavin and Bailey are complete opposites, yet they're somehow drawn to each other. She's cheerful, bubbly, talkative and warm and he's solitary, stoic and grumpy, but their time together being snowed in gives Bailey a little more insight into Gavin. And when he finally tells Bailey his background that made him build such seemingly impenetrable walls, well, it’s downright heart breaking, but with a little strength and courage, Gavin learns that you really can teach an old dog new tricks. This story is so evocative, poignant and inspiring, it will make even the worst Grinch's heart grow three sizes!

In “Love on the Edge of Reason,” Tom and Chloe are friends with benefits until their relationship changes to “it's complicated" with an unexpected pregnancy and Chloe ghosting Tom. Thanks to a buddy with mad skills, Tom finds Chloe holed up in a nearby cabin before she leaves town for good, once the snowstorm blows over. Tom has only a few days to show Chloe that he wants more, he wants everything with her, and not just because of their baby. Between creative cooking of canned goods, quiet fireside reading and card games, and a few ruthless snowball fights, Tom and Chloe learn to conquer their fears, trust their love for each other and find their way to a happily ever after.

4 Charming Holiday Story Stars!!

It may only be nearing the end of October, but this is the time I love to start watching and reading holiday themed movies and books. And these are my first three of the season. I LOVED everything about these books.

They’re all sweet and charming with appropriate levels of heat, small town romances. They’re all characters that in some way I related to on different levels. In Stranded in the Snow by Ms. Adams, we have enemies to lovers and one night of a bad snow storm changes everything for them and how they look at each other. It’s an eye opening experience to say the least. Olivia and Scott have had a friends with benefits kind of arrangement that given their family history shouldn’t be happening, but you know, anger sometimes leads to the greatest passion of our lives….and that’s exactly what Olivia and Scott discover on very snowy day… let’s just say there’s some eye opening conversations that take place…along with passion that finally has them admitting they want more… oh and she’s got a sassy mouth which had me laughing on more than one occasion!!

In A Christmas Rescue by Samantha Chase, there’s snow, rescued dogs and a true enemies to lovers story that not only had me chuckling with Bailey’s exuberant feelings but had my heart hurting for Gavin. He’s got a very good reason as to why the veterinary staff have dubbed him Dr. Grinch…but there’s a heart beating under all that bravado and it takes a major snow storm and wiggling puppies for Bailey to break him down to get to the heart of the matter. I loved these characters so much. Silver Bells is a town I’d love to live in…everyone knows everyone, and all the people are caring and loving even to those that feel they may not deserve it. What starts as a very contentious day, ends completely differently. I loved how Bailey could see there’s so much more beneath the surface of Gavin!

In Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York we get a second chance romance with Tom and Chloe. It was clear to me they loved each other, except Chloe wasn’t willing to admit it and given that she’s pregnant, with Tom’s baby and single in their small town, she opted to leave rather than be talked about. Except Tom wasn’t going to stand for that! So ensues their true love story. These two are perfect for each other. He’s strong enough in every respect for both of them, and his family become Chloe’s family which made my heart smile.

Overall, these are perfect quick holiday reads that I’m 100% going to revisit again and again.

I adored each of the three novellas in Snowed in for Christmas! I loved that each couple was snowed in for a few days as being trapped together challenged each couple to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Loved the great descriptive writing, sexual tension and honest dialogue in each story.

The sexual tension between Olivia Holiday and Scott Mattheson is sizzles on page one of Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams. Olivia’s family runs Holiday Acres, a farm that also serves as a wedding venue. Olivia has a love-hate relationship with Scott and is not amused when her sister asks her to show Scott, a photographer, the farm’s honeymoon cottage. The fun begins when Olivia and Scott are stranded in the cottage. Loved the attraction between Olivia and Scott and the couple’s honest conversations. This story impressed me so much that I ordered the next book in the series.

A Christmas Rescue was my favorite story. I adored Samantha Chase’s Silver Bells holiday romances and this story embodied all of the elements of the Silver Bells series that I love. The characters are fabulous, the romance is sweet and the true meaning of Christmas is woven seamlessly through the story. Loved Bailey and Gavin’s (aka the Grinch) opposites attract story. Bailey loves Christmas; the decorations, the lights and baking. Gavin does not like the holidays... AT ALL. Delivering a litter of puppies during a snowstorm provides this couple the perfect opportunity to explore their feelings for each other. Samantha Chase has written an emotional story filled with her trademark spot on dialogue and humor. And the epilogue is a riot! This story would make a perfect Hallmark movie

Love on the Edge of Reason is the first Zoe York book that I have read. I enjoyed this second chance holiday romance. Tom Minelli is spending Christmas Eve alone. He doesn’t know where Chloe Davis, his friend with benefits, is. Tom tracks Chloe down and arrives at her cabin just as a snow storm lands. They are forced to spend several days together. I loved Tom; he knew that he messed things up with Chloe and he so wanted to make things right. The conversations between the couple were painfully honest and emotional. Spending time in the cabin allowed Tom and Chloe the chance to open up to each other and learn to trust each other. Great characters and a sweet relatable story.

I love anything to do with Christmas , throw in some great authors and in my opinion it is a win/win.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams:
Thanks to a family feud neither Olivia or Scott can even stand to be in the same room as one another. The last thing they expect is to be stranded together at the “honeymoon” cottage on Olivia’s family property.
However all is not a as it seems as Olivia has feelings for Scott which she has done her best to hide. This was an emotional story as feelings that have been brewing under the surface finally are set free and not all in a good way.
I really enjoyed this story and I liked that they finally came to see that their feelings were more important than a family feud. A quick Christmas read with all the feels and some angst.
A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase:
This is a enemies to lovers story about Bailey Walsh and her grinch of a boss Gavin who is a veterinarian.
It is obvious that while Gavin loves animals he cannot stand people and that shows in his relationship with those around him. I really felt for Gavin, his inability to communicate particularly with Bailey was so frustrating. When he is called out to an emergency, Bailey makes the to go with him and it changes her life.
Trapped thanks to massive amounts of snow Gavin and Bailey have no choice but to stay at the clinic. There is attraction between them and Gavin does his best to be nice but he is awkward it is like pulling teeth. Bailey has had enough and when the snow eases, she packs her stuff and decides to leave the clinic for good.

Will Gavin go after Bailey? Or will he walk away? You’ll have to once click to find out.

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour #8) by Zoe York:
Chloe Davis left Pine Harbour, pregnant and alone and Tom Minelli is determined to find her, after all she is pregnant with his child. Just a she finds her, a fierce storm blows in trapping them together in a cabin on the lake.

I really liked Tom and Chloe and wanted them to get a happily ever after. Chloe needs space to re group and figure out her future but when Tom turns up she knows her time is over. Will Chloe take a chance or is she destined to leave Pine Harbour for ever?

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher through Netgalley.

These three stories are a Christmas treat. If you enjoy holiday reads or look forward to the holiday movie countdowns I think you will love these three stories and the characters that each author has brought to this book!

Stranded in the Snow
The words fun and cute come to mind when I think about this story. It is the second book in the series, but I had no trouble quickly learning about this community, business and the two families. Loved the interaction between everyone and how descriptive the story was. It left me wondering if these was based off of a true resort or destination location bc it sounds quite delightful. After I finished reading this story I looked up the rest of the stories because I couldn’t wait to see what shenanigans each couple found on their path to each other!

A Christmas Rescue
Puppies, a winter workplace romance, the grinch and a SC story = an utter delight. This community and the characters drew me in immediately. I could feel the Christmas cheer and expectations of the area and the bah-humbug of not decorating! The pups added a fun dimension to the story and as an avid animal lover I am here for it! Both characters shared their stories in their own way and it was great to see how they learned from and grew with each other. The lessons from both are good at any time, but especially at winter when there are people and animals in need!

Love on the Edge of Reason
This is the first time I read anything from ZY, but it won’t be the last! A fun spin on friends with benefits and not sharing what you feel. I found their conversations, fears, memories and take on Christmas quote interesting and entertaining. Enjoyed the interactions with friends and this small community so I look forward to reading more of this series as well!

All three stories create a warm and inviting take on Christmas romances. I knew I would love SCs story, but I am thrilled over how much I enjoyed the other two stories and that I now have two new series to explore!

Thank you to Samantha Chase for the chance to read this book and share my opinions!

I read this anthology primarily for the Samantha Chase novella, and I will review it first.
A CHRISTMAS RESCUE by Samantha Chase (Silver Bell Falls #4) is a delightful, quick read for the holidays. Bailey Walsh is the office manager for Dr. Gavin Maguire, the veterinarian who recently took over the practice from another vet who retired. Gavin, who is very attractive but is called Dr. Grinch by his staff behind his back, wants nothing to do with Christmas. In fact, he fires Bailey when she insists on decorating the office behind his back. Before she leaves, however, she decides to help him with a litter of new puppies and they get snowed in at the clinic. Will this give Bailey the chance to find out why Dr. Grinch hates Christmas? And, how convenient is it that Gavin’s apartment is just upstairs!
This is a novella, but the characters and the main story are as well developed as they would be in a full-length novel. Bailey is a strong, confident character. When snowed in with grouchy, stand off-ish Gavin, she wants to get to know him and gives him a chance. And then there are the dogs. What’s not to love? 5 stars for Ms. Chase.
STRANDED IN THE SNOW by Noelle Adams (Holiday Acres #2) held my interest but wasn’t nearly as much fun as the previous the Chase novella. The main characters, Scott and Olivia, were friends as youngsters but due to a business deal gone south, their families were feuding. When they find themselves snowed in together, they decide that maybe they don’t hate each other as much as the family thinks they should. I liked the characters, but the situation seemed a bit contrived to me. I’m giving this story 3 stars.
LOVE ON THE EDGE by Zoe York was a DNF for me. I had no interest in the characters or the situation, and I found myself a bit put off by the language and the too explicit sex. Not what I expected in a Christmas story.
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Three novellas that all take place while being snowed in.

Stranded in the Snow (Holiday Acres #2) by Noelle Adams is an enemies to lovers with spark! The enemies doesn’t just encompass Olivia and Scott, but also their families. Even tho the family feud was dissolved after truths were uncovered, Olivia and Scott still held grudges….but for the wrong reasons, neither wanted to admit the feelings they had for the other .. of course :) lol As I said … great story with spark!

A Christmas Rescue (Silver Bell Falls #4) by Samantha Chase packed a bit of a punch to the #feels. I’m not gonna lie, our hero of the story is not very likeable for most of the story, imo … until he is :) which actually doesn’t happen until towards the end so I’m a bit middle of the road on this one.

Love on the Edge of Reason (Pine Harbour #8) by Zoe York is what I would call a moment in time story. I say that because I’ve read the series from the beginning. This novella read as the aftermath of a conflict in a HEA journey. The journey itself happens before this story. If you don’t at least read Love on the Run, then you might just be thinking wait, what? thru most of the novella. This is one that definitely could have used a bit more exploring. It was very difficult to connect to the love between Chloe and Tom.

The perfect holiday read for this season. Three novellas that all take place while being snowed in, I thoroughly enjoyed all of the stories but my favorite was from Samantha Chase.

A Christmas Rescue. Enemies to lovers, that takes place in one my favorite Christmas town, Silver Bell Falls. With the delivery of puppies and being snowed in with her boss, Dr Grinch, the local veterinarian, Bailey might change his mind of Christmas. This is a sweet romance.

Stranded in the Snow by Noelle Adams, Scott and Olivia are stranded in a cottage during a snow storm, they are enemies to lovers. Scott has always been a player where Olivia is looking for her forever. After being stranded, will Scott realize he wants more than one night stands. The heat level is a little hotter.

Love on the Edge of Reason by Zoe York, is a surprise baby. Tom and Chloe have had a casual relationship but secretly Tom has always wanted more. They are stranded in a snow storm and can Tom prove to Chloe that he his her forever. The heat level is hot.

Each book can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend these stories of finding love at Christmas.

I don't think there is anything better than Holiday books and Samantha Chase has a way of putting an extra layer of 'warmth into her books.

In A Christmas Rescue we have the Grinch, the new veterinarian, Gavin and the Holiday over loader Bailey. You just know they are going to clash. In comes pregnant mama, puppies, close quarters and things take off from there.

I absolutely love these characters and the small town of Silver Bells. What's great is that this book is in a book with 2 other holiday reads by 2 other great authors, Zoe York and Noelle Adams.
