Kellee L. Greene is a stay-at-home mom to two super awesome and wonderfully sassy children. She loves to read, draw, and spend time with her family when she's not writing. Writing and having people read her books has been a long time dream of hers and she's excited to write more. Her favorite genres are Fantasy and Sci-fi. Kellee lives in Wisconsin with her husband, two kids, and two cats.
Another action packed exciting book from Kellee L. Greene. I read this in a couple of days and am on to Black Rain, the next book in the series. I intend to read all her books. I do see a common thread in her characters. The woman always has two men she likes so the romantic drama is always there. One always dies. So she doesn't have to choose and then regret her decision much.
I still love all her series I have read so far and can't wait to get back to reading.
Well, this did not improve really from the first book. Gwen is still exasperatingly unlikeable and none of the other characters sparkle either. It seems like everyone else out there is a crazed prepper with delusions of grandeur. It is also astonishing how much romance is on the minds of those in Gwen's group. I get at some point interest like that would come up, but seems like when you are on the move to find a place a safety, bad people out there and contending with the sinister phenomena, romance would be a low priority. I just can't really understand people with so little consideration for surviving. I'm very much on the fence about continuing. I'm mildly interested in what or who caused the Red Sky and Blue Cloud, but not wanting this childishness of who is hooking up with whom.
The situation for Gwen and other's she met continues to be bad. There's violence at apartment and they have to survive that and begin their journey to a place they might, possibly, be safe. There's a strange fog that also kills people. There's plenty of thugs with guns and one person in the group that could become a traitor.
There's more thugs, more violence and more questions left unanswered.
I honestly tried . I thought it would start getting better. But, it didn't. I cannot believe a woman is writing this. The main female character, Gwen has to be the dumbest broad in the world. And trust me if the world was ending I wouldn't be worried about which man I was kissing as I wouldn't be kissing.
Wasn't that interested in the book, I've read this story before from this author. I have covid and am just not in the mood to read so that could be the culprit as well.
I really did not expect that ending in this book but I hope the next one is a bit happier, but I still loved it so I'm away to download the next one in this series
