When Grayson Sherbrooke takes his son Pip (nearly five), Miranda (his love interest), her daughter, P.C. (a precocious eight-year-old), and Barnaby (an orphan who calls himself a barn cat) to Lake Windemere to the home of Lord Lyle for a month of fun and relaxation, little does he know what awaits him.
Lord Lyle, a big collector of ancient Egyptian artifacts, proudly shows off his collection to Grayson before he and his wife Lucy (nearly deaf but with an inner eye) leave to return to Egypt. There's an unknown child's sarcophagus with a bizarre curse, all sorts of Egyptian statuary, and a strange golden cuff. When Grayson picks up the cuff, he is thrown into a vision in a long ago past. Bad things are happening that could threaten him and his family. He realizes he must find out who the child is in the sarcophagus. And why opening the sarcophagus would bring death.
Don't miss TASOSH (The Ancient Spirits of Sedgwick House) - the third Grayson Sherbrooke novella of his otherworldly mysteries. This one is great fun, I promise. -- Catherine Coulter

I’ve enjoyed Coulters books for years in all the genres she writes in. The period pieces she writes are always well researched and nicely plotted out. It has been a while since I had read one and was happy to be transported to another time when reading the book. She has a wonderful way of taking you on a journey along with the characters. I look forward to more of her romance books and know that I will be going back to reread some of my favorites.
This was a great Kindle gift. Set in the past, a golden bracelet from Egyptian tombs gives Grayson a vision into a royal girls life. Very exciting and different. I only wish it was longer.
This is a short novella that I read on my kindle. The story is a little creepy with spirits from Egypt making their presence known in 1841 to Grayson Sherbrooke. Grayson , his young son and three other people are visiting in the Lake District of England. When Grayson touches a gold cuff, he is able to connect with Nefret from ancient Egypt. It was a very quick easy read.
I love books about Egypt and archeology. This had both, plus adventure and some romance, and was written by one of my favorite authors! What more could I want? I loved it. It just moved right along so smoothly. Can't wait for the next!
I adore these novellas, focusing on Grayson Sherbrook's encounters with otherworldly beings!
This third installment focuses on an Egyptian golden arm cuff artifact, which magically transports Grayson back to the time of the Pharaohs. It's through these visions that Grayson is able to piece together history and correct a wrong of the past in the present.
Seeing Grayson's and Miranda's relationship grow over the course of the series is delightful!
Hopefully, there will be more otherworldly encounters for Grayson to experience; he is an author after all and what better material to write about than real life!
The Ancient Spirits of Sedgwick House: 4-Stars Grayson Sherbrooke has been invited to the home of Lord Lyle, a renowned collector of ancient Egyptian artifacts. Grayson takes Miranda and the children with him for a much-needed time of fun and a chance for everyone to get to know each other better. Grayson is fascinated by Lord Lyle's treasure room and finds himself under the spell of a beautiful girl, Nefret, and the life she led by picking up a golden cuff that once belonged to her. An evil magician has cursed the sarcophagus of a child, also in Lord Lyle's collection, and Grayson must help Nefret and remove the curse.
A little romance, some paranormal activities, ancient Egyptian history, England in the 1800s... Weave this all together and you end up with this fun read by Catherine Coulter.
This can be read as a standalone, but I think it would be better to read the series in order. The writing style is more flowery than Coulter's FBI thrillers. And she did a good job of researching for this book, especially with the Egyptology portion.
I received a digital copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
Grayson, Miranda, Pip, P.C. and Barnaby go to Sedgwick House for a holiday, as the guests of Lord Lyle. Lord Lyle is a collector of Egyptian Antiquities and knows Grayson is an Author on otherworldly happenings so he shows him his collection and tells him of the mystery of the sarcophagus. Grayson is left wondering about the mystery. This is a novella, it is a quick fun read. The children are an added bonus as secondary characters. These books are just a pleasure to read. Sweet budding romance between Miranda and Grayson. Looking forward to reading any future adventures.
A planned month-long vacation brings Grayson in contact with some Egyptian artifacts, specifically a sarcophagus with dire warnings of a curse should the sarcophagus be opened. However, with the help of several local ghosts, his young son and his son's friends, Grayson figures out what is behind the nefarious curse with all its implications. Relationships with characters from the previous two novellas in this series, both human and ghosts, appear to assist Grayson in solving this ancient mystery.
Mystical, mysterious, eerie but what is the mystery
My judgement and rating of this book is not reliable. I had trouble following the story and the shifts in time and space. Usually, I find myself identifying with the characters in books I enjoy, but there were no people in this story that I felt anything about. Since I usually enjoy Catherine Coulter’s books, my difficulty with this one is probably my disinterest in the subject and it’s period in history.
Again, another great novel from a great author. Is it a vision or an out of time visit to find who was in the coffin and what happened to Nefti, the magician and her brother? Will he marry Miranda and will Pip really get a puppy for his birthday? Read it to see what happens and what you think.
Admittedly I'm not the target audience for this book-I much prefer the author's other books that, although quite a bit longer, contain the character development that I'm looking for.
If you'd like a quick, supernatural mystery this one is for you.
A new Catherine Coulter historical and a Sherbrooke. This was a short novella with paranormal elements. I enjoyed this story very much, the only this I wish is that it was longer. I want to know who Barnaby is!
Thank you Goodreads and Catherine Coulter for this ARC.
What a fun book this was to read! It is an engrossing mystery with just enough "spookiness" to keep you slightly unnerved. I now want to read books 1 and 2 in the series. I received this novel as part of the Goodreads Giveaway program.
The story is good, but there isn't enough time to develop the characters. It becomes confusing at times because the reader did not have enough time to familiarize one's self with them.I enjoyed the parts about ancient Egypt.
This novella was entertaining from the beginning to the end. I much prefer a lengthy novel than the short stories but the author does an excellent job of keeping you involved to the end.
I read this trilogy out of order so my review may be affected. I liked all three books and as is normal for the author, well written . I look forward to reading any books in the future.
Grayson' s adventures are fun light-hearted reads with a suspenseful paranormal aspect. I love The inclusion of his family in each story. If you want a quick read that will entertain you get this book.
Grayson, Miranda and the children are on vacation for a month at Sedgwick House. Lord Lyle has a treasure room of Egyptian artifacts that seem to call to Grayson. His dreams take him to Egypt and he has a big mystery to solve.
Just finished reading it and I liked it. Was always a fans of her historicals. Although this is a bit different I liked the characters and the storyline. Keep them coming.
Having never read the other books in this Grayson Sherbrooke Otherworldly Adventures, I found these a fun quick read and perfect for those who enjoy a good Egyptian adventure.
As all of Catherine Coulter's books - and this series - well written, believable dialogue, some suspense and lots of humor. Perfect read for a holiday afternoon.
I fell in love with Catherine Coulter as a high schooler. Read all her Sherbrooke books! This was a fun find. Nice fun easy reading. (Not Middle School)
