Started out strong, just got stronger.

In this one we get some secrets about where Ebba comes from, and I love that St Clare doesn't do the classic YA 'you're secretly the most important person in the world' thing to her heroine. Ebba's birth family is pretty much a nonentity in the grand scheme of things. Refreshing stuff.

Also a slight escalation of the love triangle in one direction. Normally I loathe love triangles, but in this one I think the triangle is handled very well. Right now Ebba only has feelings for one of the heroes, not the one she ultimately ends up with, so the angst content is still low. And it's also low because the romance hasn't really got off the ground yet.

Stolen Princess is the second installment in the Pirates of The Felicity series. Last month, I've read the first book in this series and I really loved it. Since then, I've been very much looking forward to read the sequel, so, I jumped into it as soon as it landed on my hands. Well, this was as entertaining as the first book. I'm glad that we got more Jagger and Cosmo in this book. Once again, I enjoyed Ebba and her adventures with her six fathers. It's one of the best things I love about this series. The below summary contains spoilers for the first book, skip it if you haven't read the first book.

The story continues from where it was left off in Immortal Plunder. Ebba and her fathers nearly escaped from death and also the malice. After their meet with the Selkies, they've become the guardian of the magical Plunder that contains strong power. Malice Captain is after the Plunder and he will never stop hunting them until he gets what he wants. So the felicity crew returns to their safe sanctuary, but things take a worst turn when Cosmo reveals a darkness that is spreading from his wound. They need to find the cure before it's too late which means they have to leave their safe haven and search for the answers with Malice hunting on their trail. Their search leads them to their past and Ebba finally uncovers the secrets that her father has been hiding from her and the truth devastates her.

Ebba Viva was still a naive young pirate but she's a brave girl with strong heart and I can't help but like her. Her character was pretty fun and I liked her even more in this book. She finally started to grow into a mature young women and I can't wait to see her in action in the next book. Her six overprotective fathers Barrel, Peg-leg, Plank, Grubby, Stubby, and Locks were hilarious. Their past finally catches up with them and this time Ebba learns all the secrets that was hidden from her which makes a huge rift in their fathers - daughter relationship. As for the other characters, we have pirate Jagger, and Prince Slave Cosmo. They're both pretty interesting characters.  Jagger is a bit dark and edgy type of guy. He's a Malice pirate but he was forced to work with them. This guy seems to have a lot of hidden agendas and I want to know more about his backstory. Cosmo on the other hand is a sweet and caring type of guy who admires Ebba and may have a huge crush on her. He hasn't revealed his real identity to Ebba fearing that she might hate him. At last, there's a start of slow burn romance and I'm strongly rooting for Jagger (not because I hate the other guy because he was pretty good too) but after that ending, I don't mind who she ends up with because they're both amazing.

The plot was engaging but this time it was mostly focused on family relationships and hidden secrets which made this book a little bit slower than the first one but don't worry there's some adventure, magic, action and surprising twists that'll keep you hooked to the book till the end. The pacing was okay and all the revelations were nice. It looks like the next book going to be even more interesting. The writing was good. I finally got used to the pirate accent and I'm totally loving it.  As usual, the whole book was written in third person pov. The world building was good. There was more magic in this book when compared to the first one and after how things concluded in this one, I think there's going to be more magic and adventure in the next book.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun read and I really liked all the revelations even though some of them were a bit predictable. I can't wait to know what the author has in store for us next.

This was a really great followup. We learned more about Ebba's background and by doing that, got to know her crew of fathers even better. It's so cute that her and Plank fight over clothes ☺️ I'm also glad there was more of my fav mysterious pirate Jagger, I'm even more curious of his motives after that ending. Is he good? Is he bad? Hopefully a lil of both ;) Ebba annoying the fuck out of a captive Jagger while Sally the alcoholic wind sprite vomited pirate-sized amounts of booze and mangoes onto the ship deck had me in stitches. I can't wait to read the next book since Cosmo dropped that bombbb at the end I wanna know the ramifications. Seems like Ebba's not the only one dealing with an identity crisis in this story 👀

"You're still a pirate. You're Ebba-Viva Wobbles Fairisles. A girl who throws herself across the rigging during storms and says whatever is on her mind. That is who you are, and as lovely as the dress and the feathers are, I wonder if you could be happy as the princess to a people." He closed his eyes. "I wonder if it is within you to sacrifice freedom for duty. You are a bird, mistress. Some people can bide quite well in servitude, but you are not a person to ever be caged."

I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

After reading book 1 in this series last month, I couldn't wait to return to this world and see what Ebba-Viva, her fathers, Cosmo and Jagger would get up to in this book. Stolen Princess was a great sequel. The main plot line develops, there is more adventure and reveals. More about the characters and more magic. I really liked where the story went and seeing the direction things went. It was awesome!

Stolen princess continues the story of Immortal Plunder. I liked seeing how the events of book 1 changed the characters, but there is more change and reveals coming in this one. And I am sure there will be even more changes and reveals in later books. There's an important reveal about Ebba in this book, which was great. I was thinking in the right direction, but hadn't quite predicted that. I thought everyone's reaction to it was pretty realistic and I am actually kinda happy it ended how it did as it felt realistic. There's also a twist at the end of the book, that I had predicted since book 1, it was awesome to discover I had predicted that right. And there's some nicely done foreshadowing about both reveals.

I also have a bunch of guesses and theories about some things that I am curious to see if they are true. There are enough hints and foreshadowing going on, but it's not always quite clear where things are going, which makes it fun to read and see how things develop. I am really curious where the story goes next.

Ebba-Viva is slowly changing a bit and I actually like how she is still the same girl who would rather stick her head in the sand than ask questions that might upset the balance they have. But she also is thinking about things a bit more. Unfortunately for her she doesn't get a choice and some questions get answered in this book whether she wants to or not. I like how she stayed true to herself, but also found it interesting to see her struggle with this new knowledge and what to do with it. She's such an interesting character and she has quite a lot to deal with. I like how she stands her ground and fight for what she cares for. I did wish she would be more interested in the magic as I am interested about that, but she does seem to be more open to learning about it, which is great.

There are also some reveals surrounding her fathers that come to light here. I had a much easier time remembering who was who in this book. I feel like their individual personalities and traits are clearer in my head by now. And I liked seeing more of them. Cosmo has a sickness in this book that they need to deal with and it's great to see how everyone handled it and how they did their best to help him. There's also some pieces we learn about Jagger that shed some new light on his character and I hope we eventually learn the truth about his motives.

And there's a bunch of more information we get about the world and the magic and what's happening to the realm. I liked how we got a better feel of the danger that's approaching and what's going on with the magic. It's quite interesting to learn more about the magic. It was a bit much to take in, especially when we get a bunch of information toward the end, but I was excited to learn more and I am really curious to see how this will develop throughout the series. I feel like we got the first pieces of a bigger plot and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next. The whole culture of the tribes people was also interesting and how we learn a bit more about some of the magic items.

To summarize: I really enjoyed this sequel! This is shaping up to be an amazing series. I really liked seeing the direction the story took in this book. There is more adventure, magic and more about the characters. There are some great reveals and even one reveal I had managed to predict, yay! I enjoyed following Ebba-Viva as she handles everything that gets thrown at her in this book. I like how she stays true to herself and stands her ground, but also changes a bit and has some trouble dealing with what she learns. I liked learning more about the world and the tribe we meet was interesting to read about. I especially liked leaning more about the magic plot line and what's happening to the realm. All in all a great read and I can't wait to get my hands on book 3! And I want to find out if my guesses and theories surrounding some things are correct.

Enjoyed this second book as much as the first, if not more. In the first book we had to get to know Ebba, and I'm not going to lie, she's not an easy character. So in Stolen Princess I felt I could enjoy Ebba and her unique character and view on life. We got to learn just how Ebba came to be with her six father's in this book and I was shocked as I wasn't quite expecting that! Ebba also discovers more magic whilst on the hunt to find something to save Cosmo. Also my favourite character made a reappearance, Jagger. I love everything about Jagged as he's dark and tormented by his past and present but you can also just see a glimmer of hope in his eyes. I really, really hope he's back to wind up Ebba as it really is fun to read. Five stars from me for Stolen Princess and I'm looking forward to reading Pillars of Six

This series is a diamond in the rough. The main character is humorous and refreshing in her mindset and innocent and almost willful ignorance. I’ve really enjoyed the journey so far. The relationships between these characters are just great despite the obvious wrongness lol. I just love it!

Ebba, her 5 dads, the “prince slave”, and that cantankerous cat along with some new magical friends are back to the seas in an effort to save the slave! Ebba gets some both shocking and obvious answers in this book and we are set up for an epic adventure!

Can’t wait to see what hawtmess they step off in next!!

I have the best time reading Kelly St. Clare books. Especially the Pirates of Felicity series.

The humor is light and sprinkled throughout the story. Never too heavy nor overdone. The characters are colorful and very piratey. My favorite, by far, is Sally the familiar/sidekick.

I usually don't compare authors, but I am going to put Kelly St. Clare and Shannon Mayers' The Desert Cursed Series Boxset up on a shelf together. I mean this as an absolute compliment to both authors. I just love both these series and they "feel" the same. The stories are quite different, but the tone and adventure belong together. Especially the sidekicks Lila and Sally.

It's been a few years between the first book and this one. I need to learn not to do this. Luckily, I remember most parts of the first story, which is surprising. The story was unique and fun enough for me to remember, so I had no problem picking up the second book years later. I have also bought the third book years ago. Hopefully, I won't take long getting back into this world.

Book 2 was no slump! It was constant in its ever-increasing pace and reveal after reveal (that of course led to further questions, but in a very satisfying way). I’ve read everything (I believe) that Ms St Clare has published, and this was right up at the top of all of them. Now, Ebba Viva is young and naive, so there are some of these reveals that can be seen a mile away....but they were done true to the character and didn’t take away from the book at all for me. Her naïveté was well established, and we are allowed to feel any anguish, any growth, any backbone growth that comes as part of these moments. Plus, it’s all happening so fast and couched in action, humor, and a little bit of romance that it’s all very well balanced.

Seriously, this book is great. If you’ve liked any of the author’s prior works, you owe it to yourself to read this (and don’t read out of order).

I was provided a copy at no cost to the author.

Great

I liked this one much better then the first but i think its because not everything had to be explained and the story just unfolded. Still love this author.

Fantasy at its best

Kelly St Clare is a no brainer author for me. I know what she write will be a guaranteed good time. Romance, adventure, a little bit of magic. Everything anyone could ask for in a Fantasy book. Stolen Princess is no exception.

I liked Immoral Plunder and I knew it was going to get better but I truly loved Stolen Princess. Its the perfect little trail of hints, teases and reveals that leave you satisfied and yet day dreaming about what will happen next.

Ebba is growing on me so much as a character and where before she was at odds with wanting adventure and danger and actually facing the things in front of her, in this book she takes them head on. An intriguing Male makes a reappearance and others solidify themselves as loyal friends. I cant wait to see where this all goes next!

I received an ARC for free but bought and will buy all of Ebba's story!

Read this book! Then go read all of her others!

Stolen Princess takes us on another exciting adventure but this time in a direction we never would have expected. It answers so many questions we've had but raises even more. The friendship between Ebbe-Viva and Cosmo deepens to a point where she questions her own part in the story and whether she deserves him in her life.

This one brought out the gambit of emotions, and ended in a way that makes me thirsty for the next chapter in the series. It was fun and exciting, made me want to scream and cry. The way Cosmo cares for her breaks my heart. And Jagger makes another appearance which has me wondering what his intentions may be concerning her. The entire story took us directions we had not hint were coming and changed the dynamics between all of the characters.

It was fantastic and frightening, a thrill ride and an adventure. And pirates reign in a way no one but this author could write! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next.

This sequel was even better than the first! I felt the story flowed better and got right into it. It took me a while to get used to the pirate speak again but not as long as it did for the first book. I’m still unsure why exactly I struggle with it.

I loved the twists and turns and the mysteries that keep popping up. I also enjoyed seeing Ebba’s growth and becoming more independent. I look forward to her blossoming even more as the series goes on. Jagger continuously intrigues me and I’m very curious to know what is going on in his head. Hopefully we learn more about him in the next book. I’m glad a certain secret was revealed at the end because it finally confirmed my suspicions from book 1. Now I just need more details to sort out the “why’s” in my head. I can’t wait for the next book and see what surprises are in store.

More adventure, deeper character development, new faces...everything you expect to see in a second book, we haven't been let down. And why the lingo makes me smile is still a mystery, but it does.

Our Ebba is maturing and facing some hard truths. Adulting is not something she wants to do (because being a pirate is the only label she's willing to wear), but she handles this new phase in her life with grace. I'm looking forward to seeing what new magic comes forth. Plus getting the back stories on the fathers should be fun.

Kelly St. Clare is a wonderful story teller. She weaves in just enough information to keep the pages turning and wanting to get the next book to see what happens. There are some interesting surprises and reveals and this book ends as a cliff hanger.

This is the prime example of why the second book of the series is amazing. I loved, loved Ebba in this novel. She has grown so much. She is a warrior and an amazing pirate. I love her character, and quiet frankly can be scared of her because of how powerful and amazing she is. The secondary characters and Ebba's fathers are great. I loved how we get to see more and more of the amazing fantasy world in this novel. In addition, the writing was on point. The pirate slang was great. There is such much authentic research done, but so much originality. I have never seen a unique take pirates this good before.

All in all, tons of action and great adventure. You will be reading this novel late into the night. Cannot recommend enough.

I tried to like this one tried really hard… but the terms and language seemed impossible to understand. I can learn lingo and terminology but the author didn’t even explain so I could learn… and that’s saying something for me. I read a review stating that the first book wasn’t the best so I pushed through and read the second book too. While I did understand more of the plot and where the series was going, the author kept introducing new lingo, new worlds, new concepts- at a pace that was unsustainable to me. I felt like I was simply skimming the pages trying to follow the fascinating plot and characters. BUT Ebba gets on my nerves. Naive is an understatement and it gets old way too fast. I’m done after two books. 2 Meh stars overall for the first two installments.

I received a free advanced copy for an honest review as part of the launch team for this series.

Once again a flippin' fabulous book and a wonderful sequel!

Kelly St Clare, you are killing me very slowly and it hurts right now! My heart broke no less than ten times through this book and especially for one character I have been secretly backing through the first book. I'm not going to say who but omg...

So many challenges for Ebba to face in this book, so many twists revealed but I loved every sentence that I read and Ebba is rooted even further in my heart.

Congratulations on such an awesome book Kelly, I cannot (literally) wait to read the next one.

The second book in this new series really hooks (arf arf) you in and although I was curious about the characters (mainly Jagger and Cosmo not going to lie!) in the first book, I'm now left wanting more and I'm looking forward to how these characters develop with Ebba.

Speaking of Ebba, we discover more of her background and why she has so many Dads and why her heritage is so important for the future of her world. I'm hoping she becomes a bit more of a badass (because she really is one!) and a bit less naive as the series progresses on. I think as her eyes are slowly opening to the world around her and her history and new allies she will be a force to be reckoned with!

Quite Captivating

First book was a great adventure, but the ending didn't leave you wanting more.

Stolen Princess, however another kettle of fish. Pun intended. We learn more about the history of both Ebba and her fathers as all the pretending and willfull ignorance of our heroine can no longer hold back the tide of reality. It was good. A tale that would fit in quite well in the Pirates of the Caribbean saga, with hints of Peter Pan, casting Ebba as the girl who doesn't want to grow up and her six fathers as "lost boys". Heck, there's even a Tink.

Great story, will definitely get the next one.

I can’t even right now. Holy smokes. This book is AMAZING. Them plot twists still have me reeling, especially the final one that involved me uttering a single statement that would’ve been added to the swear jar. I had my suspicions but finding out the truth... OHMYGOSH.
It was so cool seeing New Zealand culture woven into this masterpiece of a story, being a Kiwi myself!
I can’t even begin to describe how epic this series is. Can I have book three now, please??? I might die if I don’t have it soon.

What an adventure!!!

This is such a fantastic follow up to book one, I just loved it so much!!! The adventure and heart stopping moments make this story such a brilliant read. Ebba is a funny and loveable heroine and the rest of the crew are believable and well written. This book is full of twists with a really strong plot. Team Cosmo or Team Jagger - loving the slow burn love story it works perfectly and I love that both these males are so different and full of secrets!!!

Stolen Princess continues the epic adventures of Ebba and her fathers along with Jagger and Cosmo. I felt like it took me a couple of chapters to get completely immersed, I think it was because of all the excitement in Immortal Plunder. But let me tell you, the adventure hooked me till the very last page! So many different emotions while reading this book, there is great character development, tons of humor, and a whole lot of pirate! I enjoy the authors detail in creating supporting characters/culture/Exosian realm. I am looking forward to next adventure in book 3

The second book in the adventures of Ebba-Viva Fairaisles is even more action packed and enjoyable! I loved the continued character development between Ebba and her “fathers”, Cosmo, and Jagger. The story is progressing in a wonderfully magical way. There is a perfect balance of pirate and fantasy that makes the story fantastic. I’m enjoying Ebba growing up and her connections with both Cosmo and Jagger. The book ends on a few cliffhangers and even though one of the shocking twists was pretty obvious to me from the beginning, I can’t wait to see where we go from here.

Ahoy to book 3!

This series will have you talking like a pirate in your head and sometimes out loud. It keep you on your toes with all the suspense. So some secrets come to light but it just seems to more after that. Ebba struggles to find where to belongs but the prices she pays along the way are heavy. The book has it all determination, witty banter, pirate logic, light romance, and twist that keep you guesses. Must read, be the pirate you know you want to be.

Tie yer selves to the bulwark! What a great ride!

This is the 3rd time I've tried summarizing my experience of reading Stolen Princess, and I can't find the right words to describe it! The characters become more complex, secrets come to light and characters pay the consequences in the awesome world of the Exosian realm. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to keep up with the plot! Ebba's relationship with her fathers is put through more challenges, and Ebba's relationship with Cosmo (the awesome prince slave) continues to unfold in interesting ways. Even Jagger (Licks) plays a bigger role in this installment. I like that some characters aren't just black and white, but lots of gray areas. I'm very grateful Kelly St. Clare has decided to sail into this genre (see what I did there?) because it's been a great ride so far! I am also very glad that this series is on a quick release schedule. Onward ho to the next part of the story!
