Twenty-Six Haunting Forays Into Horror

Did you ever need an adventure on the fly?
Stuck for time but want to scare your players?
Short of time to prepare a scenario?

Fear's Sharp Little Needles is a collection of 26 adventures set in the modern era for Chaosium Inc's Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game of cosmic horror and personal terror.

Each adventure, with one exception, is designed to be played in one evening and each comes with a list of tags so that a Keeper can scan the title page and make a quick judgement on whether to run it that session.

What lies beneath that old building? Who's following you down this lonely street? Why does that stranger look so familiar? Who etched these symbols into the bloody bones of a murder victim?

Take a step into a mythos infested world covered in Fear's Sharp Little Needles for a night. For Mature Gamers.

Be careful where you step.

This is a book filled with rough diamonds. And you should know that going in. Most of these adventures need work from the GM. Some you can play from the get go, but most will be a lot better if you do a bit of work on them. As this is a large collection, not all will be to everyones taste. And some are a bit nasty (for mature players). I do also think that a few of these adventures would work better in other systems, Unknowned armies was my first thought. But all in all a great collection with a few stories that didnt fit my style of playing/idea about the mythos.
As a collection of adventures, this is probably one of the best I have read to CoC. Even if you need to put some work into it. Very much recomended.

You know, after absolutely adoring the previous volume of scenarios, this one was a real let down.

The problem is structural, it's 27 short scenario ideas, many of which are just a couple of pages. They're really short, they're really lacking in details, and most of them are just based around one cool creepy idea.

And that's great for a Creepypasta short story. But I don't think it's gonna work for my gaming group. Not without putting in a ton more work. And... I don't buy scenario books to have to put in a ton of work.

So yeah, sorry guys. Didn't like this volume.
