Begin Again

Crass. Rough. Broke.

Bryan Kincaid is the anti hero in Nelly Robertson's world.

She's on the cusp of graduation and promised to a well-to-do family.

He's absolutely not the kind of guy her daddy would want her to know, and yet, he can still be found waiting in the school parking lot every afternoon. With his no f*cks attitude about her relationship status with another man, Bryan lays his claim on her heart and body every single day for three years.

She'll say yes eventually, right?

Written In The Stars

Get the girl? Check!

Marry up? Check!

Make a baby or two? Check, Check!

It's not my fault I saddled my poor sweet wife with a psychotic toddler who just happened to start out at eleven pounds heavy.

It's the Kincaid genes. She knew what she was getting herself into when she gave me the yes.

Everything we have, everything we are... It was Written In The Stars

This is my first book by Emilia Finn and if this is an indication of her writing, then I will definitely be reading more of her books. Begin Again is a prequel to the Rollin On Series and was well-written, has wonderful characters and so much more. This book played with my heart strings.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I need more about Bryan and Bert. Such a great story and he is such an arrogant little snot but a man after my own heart. He saw what he wanted and went after it. I even felt bad for poor Shane. Bryan was a rescuer, protector a passionate man and it was all for Bert and her alone. His single-minded determination and love for her fill the pages and without graphic scenes this author makes you feel every bit of that love. I absolutely adore this author and her characters, and characters they truly are and they always leave me with a smile. Great story.

But this is only the beginning of the Rollin On Series and only a fragment of their story. A story cut short but one that lives on through the gang and the offspring. This is a story of love and determination. It's a story of love. It's a story of family.

Beautiful Read

Knowing how their story ends I didn’t think I needed this book but how wrong I was. Emilia has an amazing way of bringing her characters to life and l loved reading Nelly and Bryan’s love story.

Do not read this until you’ve read the six books from The Rollin On Series.

A must read—Bryan insists

I didn’t read Begin Again before I read the Rollin On series...but Bryan’s story just makes the series that much better. I can’t even put into it’s how amazing this novella is. I love Bobby and I knew I’d love Bryan—but be prepared to be crushed after you fall in love with him.

Without Bryan and Nelly there is no Rollin On series...so I’m glad we get to see “where it all began”. Now to go mop up some tears and reread one of my all-time favorite series.

Emilia—I’m glad that Bryan wouldn’t shut up. Even though it hurts, he’s amazing. I wish we could have him back as much as you do but he made his boys amazing men for all of us. Thank you for bringing them to life for us.

It stars here

If I read a series based about a family and their lives, I normally never read prequels about their parents or grandparents. I want to keep the older generation as the monarch. That's just how I am! When I first was introduced to The Rollers I was in love with this family. They were actually a lot like my family, which drew me in to read more. Getting to see their mom, it made me wonder where the guys got their personalities from because that was not all Nelly...it also pulled at my curiosity when we saw a glimpse of the dad in one of the books. I wanted to get to know Bryan even though we know the outcome. I'm glad Emilia Finn wrote this short story and let us get a glimpse of Bry and Nelly's lives.

Forget Romeo and Juliette

Some writers put pen to paper and let their feelings flow. Emilia puts pen to paper and lets the feeling of her characters flow. Her characters have taken life outside of the pages of her books and you feel like you are a part of their family. I am emotionally invested every time I open one of her books. And when Nelly tells her story, you feel the magic between her and Bryan. The magic is still there years after Bryan is gone. Like I said, forget Romeo and Juliette, love like Nelly and Bry.

Bryan and Bert...

I read the entire Rollin On series before I read this book, yes it is a prequel but it should not be read until after the rest of the books.

We have loved their children for so long and now it is time to meet the parents. Bryan is a rough crass broke guy who knows what he wants and he is not going to back down over it either. he will protect her and love her.

This is a great novella but again you must read AFTER the others.

Great development and continuation of the story.

Thank you!!

I have read the Rollin On series and have been going through withdrawals. Bryan and Nelly's story touched my heart and cracked it a little. You showed us the man who taught our Rollin crew how to be men and I thank you. It is strange how I watch my own sons and wonder wish that they had an influence like Bryan or Bobby...I hope I am a mom like Nelly. Emilia please continue to write books that keep us in touch with our Rollin family because we miss tbem all.

I know my stars...

I've read this story a million times and will continue to keep reading it as many times as I can. If you haven't read the Rollin On series, please do before you start this novella, otherwise the characters won't make sense.
Bry and Nelly's story cuts me to pieces every time I read it. The love they had for each other was so pure and real that they deserved to have a full life together. Onto the next one....

It was so much fun to read where all the roller boys get their genes from. When I first read this book, it took me on a journey where I get to know more about Bryan and Nelly's love. It's a beautiful addition to the roller series. I just want to read Bryan again and again and never let go! He has a special place in my heart now! ♥️

Beautiful

Bryan is everything the roller boys are and I love it! I love they got so much from their daddy. Bryan makes my heart happy and sad because he was gone so soon and didn’t get to meet his grand babies he would have adored. They all have a big ol angel looking out for them. It was nice to meet Bryan can’t wait to read the next story. Thanks for talking Bryan.

Oh my god 😭 I fell in love with Bryan Kincaid (the first) from the snippets in the Rollers books, from him being one the best dad to the boys but also being a dad to Jon and Iz, he made my heart melt from beyond and reading his and Nellys story is bringing me to tears 😭 so much love for the Kincaids then and now.. there’s no going back for me now.. this series holds my heart so damn much!

Thank you for this short book

In my head Bryan and Nelly have whispered for so long. But, like you, I was so afraid to ever face his loss on the pages. Thank you for not making me love that loss but for giving us a glimpse of the man who built the foundation for these Rollers …… especially for Bobby - no middle name needed - Kincaid. Absolutely loved this book!!!

Knowing how it ended, I still smiled almost all through this book but knowing how it ends also had me crying too. I'm glad Bry and Nellys story was written and I'm excited for the rest knowing they're going to rip my heart out.

A Must Read book telling the background of one of THE sweetest love stories of when Nelly met her Bryan, the Kincaid boys Mom and Dad. The stories are the sweetest and you can understand why their sons love so hard like they do. They had the great example to watch growing up!

Enjoyed it

I liked reading about this side of Nelly. It helps understand how she loves her boys even more and how she's such a good woman. Plus why the boys are good men.

This prequel is not required but definitely needed. We learn slot about Bryan ad his take charge attitude, though maybe a little rough around the edges he is definitely who I would want. Loved it
