Every win has cost the Dartmouth Cobras, but one family has paid more than any to see the team succeed. Including their control over the franchise.
Which means the future of the team is out of their hands.
Ford Delgado, heir to the dwindling Delgado fortune, sold the team to save it, but a legacy of deceit and crime puts everything he and his sisters fought for at risk. As a family, their bond has grown, but the threat of losing the one thing they share may tear them apart.
Lorenzo Keane, owner of the Dartmouth Cobras, faces the most difficult decision of his life. This team has destroyed one family, and he won’t risk his own to save it. But his passion for the game makes abandoning his place in the Dartmouth Cobras legacy one of the most difficult choices he’ll ever have to make.
A losing streak might mean more than a short season.
The team’s fate rests in the hands of a man with more to lose than a game. Unless Ford can make a new deal. One that will have his family coming out on top. His methods might leave something to be desired, but he’ll stop at nothing to bring home a win.
Tell you about me? Hmm, well there's not much to say. I love hockey and cars and my kids…not in that order of course! Lol! When I'm not writing—which isn't often—I'm usually watching a game or a car show while working on promo. Going out with my kids is my only down time. I get to clear my head and forget everything.
As for when and why I first started writing, I guess I thought I'd get extra cookies if I was quiet for awhile—that's how young I was. I used to bring my grandmother barely legible pages filled with tales of evil unicorns. She told me then that I would be a famous author.
So sad the series is at an end, I’ve loved every book and this is a great conclusion.
It felt a little unfinished in that I’m not sure just wether every character had a chance at peace and happiness. Hunt for example, and What happens to our Aussie friend and his best mate from Russia?. So many questions.
I’m really hoping that Bianca revisits the series and maybe writes a few more.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This is the ninth book in the series - and you absolutely have to read the previous books to love and understand this one! All the books in this wonderfully sexy and intense sports romance bring together The Dartmouth Cobra hockey team, from owners to players, but this one seems to do it more than any other. As they all consider what change may mean to their families and their future, we get to see just how deeply it affects the Delgados in particular.
Ford is a man who is so mired in his past, that when faced with a challenge he cannot break the cycle - and until he can acknowledge and accept help, he is stuck. From a man that most readers truly despised, to one who we cannot help but love is a journey that has been skillfully crafted by Bianca Sommerland over many installments. His family is going to be the richer for his growth.
So many other lovely cameos and scenes which give the faithful reader a chance to smile and sigh, and promises of more intrigue and romance to come. Since reading Game Misconduct in 2012 to now, I have been beguiled by this team and every new book is a treat to be savoured. An amazing combination of the machinations of a hockey team and the sexiest, hottest, most passionate unconventional love affairs I have ever read. Perfection on the page!
This is the 9th full length book in the Cobras series, and the first that is not centered on the romance between a new triad or couple. In fact, there’s not a lot of romance at all.
The main focus is really on the team and a possible sale and relocation. While most of the characters make appearances, the main players are Ford and his family and Keane and his.
Ford and Cort continue to grow closer and learn to express their love in new ways, while Keane makes a new friend when dealing with a health scare with one of his twins.
We do get a hint of a possible future m/m pairing, which probably won’t come to fruition until this series ends (one more book). Never fear Cobras fans, a spin-off series is in the works.
This was a great addition to the series, and I’m looking forward to the next one.
I love this series, and it saddens me that it is close to the end. There were some developments in this story that I didn't see coming, but that just added to the story. We don't want a story to be too predictable, do we? Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Overtime by Bianca Sommerland has been my most anticipated release of 2018. I have been a long time fan of this polygamy based hockey romance.
As per usual, this book follows every couple we have met over the course of the series, but this is mainly Ford Delgado’s book. I honestly didn’t have any expectations of how this book would go. I mean normally I have an inkling based on the storyline from the previous books but this took me by complete surprise.
I have to admit I don’t want to give anything away, any Cobra fan should read this going in blind. Just make sure you are ready for all the feels. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and most of all I fell in love. Ford has been a front runner to become my favorite leading man from this series, and I will say, mission accomplished based on Overtime.
This book is without a doubt the best book in this series, but more importantly this is the best book from Bianca Sommerland overall. The magic of her writing just jumps of the pages, and leaves you wanting more. In a series where I have loved each and every installment, Overtime stands out as a star on its own. This book deserves nothing less than 5.5 stars, and it’s definitely a #TopRead18.
One of the fascinating things about this series is that the relationships keep changing, evolving, and the human faults that are inherent in us all, keep rearing up. It also shows that, once in that relationship with those who know you, love you, and having a support network around you, those faults won't knock you down like they once would. People will catch you, watch out for you, and won't let you veer too far away why you figure things out
This is a check-in, and some pretty big things are happening. We see a little bit of a solid relationship building, we get a little more of a crash and burn, still need time to grow up, relationship slightly forming, but we get lots of catch up with our favourites. Ford, Cort and Akira, is who our story centers on, and the book seems like it is mostly Ford, but he, like us, realize as things progress, he isn't a single, he is in relationships, and they have him, and he needs to learn to trust that.
Of course, when Anthony Delgado is up to tricks, Oriana and Silver are front and centre as well. Sloan and Max have some screen time to work out some things. Dean and Landon know better than to leave Silver to her own devices for long. Our newest poly has a moment as well, and Pisch, White, and Justina getting settled in and finding their way. Luke is peppered here and there, along with Jami, and Seb keeping on eye on them both. Luke, being Luke, gave me some much needed laughs. We are in Cobra's HQ, so Becky is there, and Scott comes by, and we see them again in the epilogue with Zach. Laura plays an important, pivotal, role at our stories climax, and Tyler is adorbs in the locker room.
And then there is Dominik, and that big hunk of masculinity, makes me have all the feels. Him with Bran, so sweet. Mouthy Kimber still twists at his heart, and his devotion to Sahara, even in the brief moments they share, so evident. It's hard to explain why without giving anything away, but trust in that, he will bring the tears to your eyes, as he adjusts to his new role in life
Silver gets a new PA, Ainsley, there is a new rookie on the team, Priest. Richards, Hunt, and Ladd are still around. We get a good look at Keane, *swoon*, and meet his daughters, MacKenzie and Madison. There is a brand new character that drives a lot of the story, but to find out about him, you'll need to read the book. As the tagline says, The Game isn't over, there is still lots to happen before a winner can be declared!
5 Star Review Overtime (The Dartmouth Cobras # 9) by Bianca Sommerland
If you like sexy hockey players, BDSM, smoking hot scenes and characters that will melt your heart and your panties, then look no further.
Have you ever anticipated a book so much that you were afraid to start reading it? That’s what happened to me with Overtime; particularly knowing that the end of the series is not far off.
Although a stand-alone novel, I would recommend you start at the beginning and read them in order, although it is not absolutely necessary. Many of the characters appear in each book and their stories evolve throughout the series and this book is no exception.
Family is everything to Ford Delgado, he finally has a relationship with his sisters Oriana and Silver and has worked hard to overcome his troubled past. Now the team he fought to save is in jeopardy.
Lorenzo Keane, is the owner of the Dartmouth Cobras and he faces one of the hardest decisions he will have to make. Should he sell the team or risk it all and at what personal cost?
Ford and Silver are not afraid to fight dirty if that’s what it takes but will they jeopardise their families in the process?
There were instances where I couldn’t believe what I was reading. I laughed, I smiled, I was concerned, I was scared and above all I cried.
This book evoked so many different emotions in me that I wasn’t sure whether I was up or down; it was like riding a rollercoaster without a seat belt.
As always it was great to catch up with some of my other favourites from the series and I am anxiously awaiting the next instalment to the series. To me reading a Dartmouth Cobra book is like catching up with loved ones, coming home.
I have always loved the layers that Bianca Sommerland ensures her characters have, but I think Overtime has taken it to an even deeper level.
The Dartmouth Cobras saga continues! Things are settling down for the team and the connected families. The siblings Oriana, Silver, and Ford are closer than ever, and finding their ways in life and love. Everyone knows the team just isn’t faring that well, but it’s league-wide. How can this team/family resurrect the interest in the fan base?
Ford is still learning to accept his relationship with Cort and Akira is real, and build a life with them, when his world is turned upside down with an unexpected arrival. Can Ford step up to challenge? Will he even get the chance to, with his father and Kyle trying to control him? Or will he travel back down the dark path of his past into the world he left behind?
Lorenzo Keane has a huge decision on his hands with what to do about the team. Continue to try and re-energize the franchise, or let it go? Add to that his daughters who are just getting stable in Nova Scotia, and a difficult diagnosis – he needs his wits about him. Sixteen-year-old twins are their own brand of headache, and it isn’t going to be easy. Fortunately, Silver’s new PA provides a sounding board that he has been missing for so long. Will she anchor him or be his downfall?
There are so many moving (but interconnected) parts to the story. I really like the way the author weaves the tale. It’s like “this is happening, but meanwhile this is going on over here”, but every action has a consequence for many. An absorbing, thrilling adventure with this team and the different personalities introduced throughout the series. It is best to read the series in order because a new reader might get lost not knowing what happened before, but it is a great read!
Overtime gave a look into the owner Lorenzo Keane's life as well as a look into how other players are moving forward in life.
Possible SPOILERS
Lorenzo Keane is having problems with the team...well more specifically the fan base is dropping which also means money is a problem too and now he has some MAJOR decisions to make about the future of the team! Book 9 in The Dartmouth Cobra Series and the saga continues what can I say that hasn’t already been said before, this book is so good it captivated me from page one and there was no putting down until I had read the final line, you know you have a great book in your hands when you don’t want it to end and that’s exactly how I felt as I got towards the final pages of OverTime (The Dartmouth Cobras #9). Ford, Silver and Oriana May have finally it together as siblings they closer than they have ever been but that doesn’t mean Ford won’t revert back to his old tricks if it’s a way to protect his family and loved ones. I’m not going to give any of the story away I believe any cobra fan needs to read this book with no expectations you need to go in blind you need to get all the feels from the book not from reviews because truthfully a review can’t give you anything close to the emotions this story will give you. We get to catch up with our old Cobra favourites but this book is really about Ford and the twists and turns that his life seems hell bent on following. This book is a must read for any hockey fan, it’s hot it’s passionate and it’s all about team loyalty. This book for me is up there amongst the best in the series, great job Bianca Sommerland.
WOW!!! So much happening in this book. And I absolutely loved it! Loved seeing what's going on with my favorite sexy-as-heck hockey team and all their friends, significant others, and families!
This story elicited so many intense feelings, I wanted to jump right into my kindle, at times, and just smack certain people upside the head!!! Then at other times I wanted to just hold on to certain characters and not let anyone else hurt them.
So many intense feelings! But if you've read the previous 8 books in the series you expect that! At least I do, and I look forward to the next book from the minute I read the final words of each one!
I know I didn't give you any hints about what happens, but I hate spoilers and to me, it's more important how someone felt about the book than just giving a summary. As always, this is a must-read for anyone who loves sexy, hot books about even sexier, HAF hockey players!!!
Finally another book featuring our beloved Cobras! While we get to see all our Cobras, this book primarily revolved around Ford Delgado and Lorenzo Keane. Ford was settling in with his partners when his world was rocked and he had to make some choices about how he reacted to things… keep things on the straight and narrow or head back down the path of his past and do whatever necessary. We also got to know a bit more about Lorenzo’s personal life as he faced every parent’s nightmare. Once again, Bianca gives us all the feelings we have come to expect from her stories… tears, laughter, and sad reflections all wrapped up in an awesome book with some steamy sex as a bow on top. I cannot say enough good things about the Cobra world that she has given us!
I've been reading the whole series and I hope it isn't over, it's hard to say who this book is about, rumors are flying around that the Dartmouth Cobras are going to be sold but the owner is too busy worrying about one of his twin daughters who needs a heart operation. Meanwhile Ford Delgado has found out he is the father of a 10 year old boy but the boys uncle is his guardian and has no intention of letting him go. We catch up a little with everyone else on the team and Silver gets an assistant who is getting friendly with the owner while his daughter is recovering and the other one is babysitting for her while dating one of the players behind her father's back.
Another FREAKING AWESOME Cobras book! This one left me speechless. I loved it, was hooked, and did not want it to end. There was sooooo much going on and a huge twist. We get to see a little of all of our Cobra favorites and even the one person I think we all hate... Anthony Delgado. Yes, he is back. Yes, he is still an a$$. So you can pretty much imagine what may be going on there. As I type this I try to come up with something that does not lead to a spoiler, so freaking hard by the way. I loved the couple updates, I loved the new developments, and I loved the insight to what is coming.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I have read all of Bianca's Dartmouth Cobras. This is one of her best yet!! It still draws you into all their lives especially the Delgado siblings. I like that they stick together no matter what life throws. Was hard to picture Ford as a dad but he is shaping up with Akira and Cory by his side. I'm anxious to see what Silver is up too, plus the wedding coming up. I was sad to see the trade but it made sense. Thanks Bianca and thanks for putting your 1st few books on KU. That is how I found your wonderful series plus Winters Wrath.
Wow. Ford is up to his old tricks will everything work out as it should. I love this series. Court is one alpha man. Ford is on complicated hot mess of a man. Akira is on smart sexy woman. They make for a interesting mix of people. Ford needs to trust that he has people in his corner that has his back no matter what. Loved this story It is my favorite in the series. So glad everything happened the way it did. A must read.
OMG!!! this book was so good. It had me hooked from the start (yes I am a Cobra fan) however this book gave me glimpses into many of my favorite couples and also provided a deeper look into who Lorenzo Keane is and what is important to him. I love so many of these triads and this story gave an update on many of them. There were twists and turns that were expected and unexpected, emotional decisions and surprises. This is a must read!!!!
This book covered a lot. It answered a lot , but also left some things unanswered. Seeing Ford do what he thought he had to do for his son was heart warming. He'd go to any length to keep his son happy, but he wasn't in this thing alone. Cort and Akira had his back. The things you do for love and family. I can't wait to hear Heath's story. That will definitely be interesting.
Oh, the feels! This book was amazing. My new favorite book from Bianca Sommerland. Love how she develops the characters more and more with every book so that you feel for them, you relate to them. I couldn't put it down. It made me laugh, cry, made me angry, frustrated, and happy all over again. This is a must read and a book that I will read over and over again.
This is book 9 in the series. How these characters have grown is amazing to read. But also how bad habits and people can return when you least expect it to. As usual, you are craving more and not ready for it to end. I need to know what happens next, yet I'm dreading that next book because it's the end of this series.... Love the Cobras!!!!
It's wrapping up! Cobras in Dartmouth coming to an end.
I have been a fan girl for a while now. Between the menage and the sexuality of the characters, I've been in love with this series.
I wasn't sure whose story this was going to be. I wasn't sure if it was Lorenzo, Jami, or Ford's. It kinda was all of them. But mostly Ford. Lots of fun and action!
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from an advanced reader copy. I absolutely loved reading this book. The story was very well written. Its full of action. The characters had very good chemistry. You get to catch up with most of the couples
Reading a Bianca Summerland book is like going home for a visit with old friends. She tells a great story with plenty of steamy sex and updates you on all the characters.
You have amazed me!! I love that I got to read Ford, Cort and Akira's story . I loved the intrigue, the suspense and the romance. And the ending! Thank you Bianca.
A favorite in the Dartmouth Cobras series because it covers so many of the established couples. The romance was on fire, the domestic feeling that time has given the families is so comforting and the suspense that Ford always brings was perfect. Every group that found each other have a story that goes beyond when their book ended and I love that with every subsequent book includes the life that follows that portion of their story. I will be sad when this series ends, so glad that their will be a spin-off and I'm going to always revisit the Cobras when I need to.
