Aliens: Dust to Dust #4 #4

Rate this book
Days ago, Maxon was a twelve-year-old boy, concerned with the kinds of things that concern young boys. Then the Aliens came. Now Maxon must depend solely on his wits and his will to survive. Its a hell of a way to grow up.

Was gonna give this a 3 star but I really liked the last two panels. Really impactful for a mostly boring series (looking back it wasn’t that great). The art is hard to follow and it’s nothing new for Alien, but it’s not a bad series.

Oh gee, an issue of a comic where a character(s) escapes from a space station overrun with deadly creatures, and shenanigans ensue. Never seen that done before.

Also, this series is over, so what is the moral lesson of the day? That the act of chopping off someone's head and carrying it around with you like a tool isn't fucked up or emotionally scarring whatsoever. I mean, just look at Maxon over here... he was able to chop off that android's head like it was nothing, and was almost completely fine afterwards!....... just like a good emotionless soldier.

Mother vs Mother

Wow, this was an epic ending. I loved how mature Max had to become to survive, and the reveal of the synthetic was unexpected but worked well. It was great to see the concept of host memory as well, that the maternal bond is stronger than the Alien. Thanks for a great comic Gabriel!

Amazing series!

This is my first try at comics, and it was perfect. As an avid Alien fan this opened a new opportunity for Alien related content. High action and beautiful artwork throughout.

I recognize I didn't have too much faith on this final issue.
Previous issues were fine, but if first issue was an interesting intro to the story, second and third didn't increase the intensity of that premise.
Anyway, this final chapter is great. This is the real kind of terror spirit of Aliens, and Gabriel Hardman has done one of the best limited series I read in the last years about Aliens.
I really recommend this, but anything is perfect, so there is a negative point in this issue.
Page 11: I've read this more than one time trying to guess what hits the alien. I don't describe more than this in order to don't spoiler what happens.
Once you've read it, you'll understand what I mean.
