Synopsis - Family Business VI The sixth and final book in the Family Business series brings the Shepherd family and the Walker family from the Rain series together as they struggle to do the work of the Lord in this evil and confused world they now live in. Dam Shepherd is a full grown man, married to the love of his life, with a baby on the way. Life is good… until he tries to step into the ministry God has for him. As one obstacle after another takes Dam’s focus off of his God given assignment, he must decide whether he will do the will of man or the will of God. Isaac Walker Jr. had a hard time dealing with the death of his parents. His father had always been such a force in his life, that he didn’t know how to move forward in ministry without him. Faced with losing his wife if he didn’t make changes, Isaac realizes that life must go on… and the ministry his father started had to continue as well. What Dam and Isaac don’t know is that their ministry will usher in the end of times. If they fail to complete the mission God has for them then many souls will be lost. Can Dam and Isaac fight their way through and endure until the end?

“Recommended for readers of redemption stories.” –Library Journal.
This was a great series. It was awesome seeing the transformation of the Shepherd family. This family had a lot of ups and downs but in the end with God all things are possible. Vanessa Miller did a great job with this series. You will instantly get connected with the characters. If you are looking for a page turner check it out.
I really hate to say goodbye to the Shepherd family but it was a series that ends on a high note. It was also good to see the Walker family on the scene for the finale. Too be able to witness the work of the Lord on and through both families was great. I liked the way Mrs. Miller showed how God will use the foolish things of the world to confuse the wise. To use the offspring of two of the baddest men ( Don Shepherd and Issac Walker) on the streets to bring glory to the kingdom was a way to show that God can and will use anybody for His purpose & service. But the ending though was both uplifting and saddening at the same time.
There were a few editing issues. Just enough to make you go "ugh" but not enough to hinder the reading and enjoyment of the novella.
This is a very good series. It ended way differently than I had expected. I loved the Walker and Shepherd families working together. I missed the actual prayers and fighting demons scenes from the Angels assigned to them. I don't want to give any spoilers but I will say that I'm glad that they didn't get weary in well doing and give up and they kept fighting the good fight reaching for the mark of the high prize in Christ Jesus.
***This book had technical issues starting at chapter 14. It was only a couple lines to maybe a paragraph on each page throughout the book. ***
I found it most interesting that all though the Sheppard family how the came to accept the love of God. Each generation overcame great obstacles in their lives. In the overall series I found it most intriguing when Don asked God for forgiveness. After, the violence life he and Al came to love god. The dream Dam had where his friend Stan prophesied him being in hell. Almost, like movie A Christmas Story, the angels showed him his past, present, and future. That he needed to accept God, before it was too late. So he didn't have to go through the agony of being in hell.
I totally enjoyed each series of Vanessa’s novels, especially the Rain novels. Yet, it was captivating to see how God can use the worst sinners in the family to save others. Their grandfather and father had been wretches undone, but Vanessa focused on what God can do when Dam and Issac remained dedicated and committed to God’s way in this evil world! The ending was really an unexpected surprise, but Vanessa just reminded her readers to be prepared in and out of season. Another standing ovation for a job well done!
I have been anxiously awaiting the finale to the Family Business series and it was worthy of the wait. Kudos to Vanessa Miller on bringing home the message of salvation and a well written story of people we have come to love.
I'm going to miss this series, but all good things must come to an end. Thank you Vanessa for telling a remarkable story about a family's redemption and love for God.
Monster Miller, ended this Family Business Series, with !love for the Lord. How God showed favor on these 2 young men. Moving forward for
All God has done for them and their families. How even though you may had been living for the devil!. You are tired of being tired of serving Satan you can repent to God he will answer your prayers. Thank you Jesus for loving us. I enjoyed reading the entire series.
The last book of this series and it was good! I didn't expect it to end like it did but it makes sense why it ended that way. Dam connected with Issac (character from one of her other books) and they put on a crusade to save souls. They both were tried and tested while pulling everything together and living out every day life but they accomplished what God planned for them to do. Read the book to see the things that they faced. I'm excited to read other books by this author!
I have enjoyed this series from the beginning till the end. Vanessa Miller has through this wonderful literary works showed how a relevant God can change the hearts of those that everyone else discards as hopeless and bless the world through them
Great series! Loved the way that Isaac and Dam came together and became true servants of God! With all of the turmoil and happenings in the world, they definitely kept to God’s plan for their lives. All preachers are now t ordained by God and it was demonstrated in this book. I’d definitely recommend this this entire series for reading.
This was an excellent ending to the series. All of the books came together in the last one. Excellent woman of God writer we have here. Thank you for this series
I love the way she brought the Shepards and Walkers together! This author never disappoints me. Her descriptions are so vivid I feel like I can see them!
