Book three in the ongoing series, The World of Supersaurs.

The saga continues as the Kingsley siblings, Bea and Carter, along with their guardian, Theodore Logan, and Carter’s pet Dwarf Black Tyrant, Buster, travel from their homeland in England to California to visit with the children’s uncle, Cash Kingsley, and his family on his saur ranch. Along with a rodeo and theater premiere in San Francisco there are livestock slaughters by unknown beasts on neighboring ranches and a visit to a mysterious archaeological wonder. Old friends are back along with old nemeses. The book continues on with the series’s message of the grim reality and its tragic consequences of needless and unchecked exploitation of the world’s fauna, focusing on the dinosaurs, and the need for public awareness and support of wildlife conservation. Once again, I enjoyed the story although I’m not too crazy with the idea that it’s starting to introduce some elements of the world of fantasy, e.g. magic stones, notwithstanding the concept that the books take place in an alternate reality with dinosaurs still alive in modern society. I knocked off a star only because of the verbal and graphic depiction of cruelty to the animals, albeit the illustrations were postmortem. I see that as of this writing there are at least three additional titles in this series and I still do intend to continue on reading the rest of those books.
