Millie quickly realizes something more sinister is afoot and a serial killer may be on the loose.

This is a great collection of previously published fall themed books. Each time I read one of Ms. Callaghan’s books, I think it’s the best one and they can’t get any better, and then she writes the next one and amazes me once again. The storylines are well plotted and Ms. Callaghan smoothly blends family, friendship, mystery, and intrigue with laugh out loud moments, a touch of sweet romance, realistic dialog, and affable characters. I recommend Ms. Callaghan’s books to anyone who enjoys reading easy to read clean cozy mysteries.
Family, Friends and Foes is the eleventh installment in Hope Callaghan’s Cruise Ship Christian Cozy Mysteries series. Millie Sanders is excited because she will soon be marrying Captain Nic Armati. Millie and Nic’s children will be on the cruise ship, but she’s nervous because she’ll be meeting her son, Blake’s new girlfriend, Erin, and Nic’s daughter, Fiona, for the first time. Nic’s good friend, Regan Leclerc and his wife, Nadia, invited the newlyweds and their families to their resort, the Grand Bay Beach Club, in Saint-Martin. Even though they learn there have recently been unexplained deaths at the resort, everyone agrees to stick to their original plan and stay at the resort. The Leclercs are being questioned and fear they will be linked to the deaths or, at the very, least their business will suffer. Millie says she isn’t going to get involved in the investigation, but once she meets Regan and Nadia and realizes Nadia is a lot like her, that soon changes.
Fall Girl is the ninth book in the Garden Girls Cozy Mystery Series. Gloria Rutherford has a vague memory of telling her best friend, Lucy Carlson, she would “think” about going deer hunting with her. When Lucy shows up at Gloria’s door with hunting gear and rifles Gloria can’t disappoint her dear friend even though she doesn’t want to hunt or kill anything. When they return to Gloria’s house after their adventure, they learn that Bill Volk, Lucy’s ex-boyfriend, has been murdered and his body dumped across the street from Gloria’s house. Gloria and Lucy fear that someone is trying to frame them for Bill’s murder. The Garden Girls are determined to help prove their innocence.
The Family Affair is the ninth installment in Hope Callaghan’s awesome Made in Savannah Cozy Mystery Series. Carlita Garlucci’s excited because her oldest son, Vinnie, Jr., is due to arrive any minute, but she’s also worried because he says he has a big surprise and she hates surprises. To her disappointment, he’d been hinting around about moving up in the “family” business, but she never suspected him to show up with a young woman on his arm and her as Brittney Castellinis, the daughter of Vito and Francesca Castellinis, she began to feel ill. Not only was Vito a mob boss, he was the godfather! The pawnshop is doing well and renovations have begun in the vacant building where Carlita plans to open her gourmet Italian restaurant, Ravello. Carlita’s son, Tony, has been dating one of Carlita’s tenants, Shelby Towns, and Shelby’s young daughter, Violet, has won the hearts of the entire family. When Shelby’s ex-husband, Robert Towns, is murdered in a park not far from the riverfront district, she becomes a person of interest. Shelby had been hiding from her ex-husband, but he somehow tracked her down and told her he was working on a big deal with important people and would give her a signed consent to terminate his parental rights in exchange for cash. Shelby agreed to the meeting, but when she arrived, she discovered he’d been murdered. Determined to find the truth, Carlita enlists the help of Annie Dowton, the owner of Riverfront Real Estate, and reluctantly accepts help from her ex-tenant, Elvira Cobb.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Hope Callaghan's Fall and Family Six Cozy Mysteries Edition warms the heart. Most stories include fall comfort food recipes: three mac and cheese dishes, a meatloaf, a pumpkin crunch cake and a few more. I enjoy solving mysteries with my favorite senior sleuths: two Millie Cruise Ship Mysteries, two Gloria and the Michigan Garden Girls Mysteries, one with Carlita Garlucci in Savannah, Georgia and one with Samantha Rite. Character lists are included. Even though the stories are part of separate series, each story can be read as a stand alone with no cliff hangers. An excellent way experience fall, make a tasty recipe and discover a new talented author. Hope Callaghan tests all the recipes, so they will not disappoint.
I loved this collection of cozy mysteries from various Hope Callaghan series. There is plenty of interesting stories a bout mysteries in the fall, interesting characters and enough suspense to keep your heart pumping. This series is recommended for those who love cozy mysteries.
These were all new authors to me that I am going to read more of their work. Good plots, combining just the right amount of mystery with chuckles. As a bonus a couple books give recipes of dishes they mention in the bookies. I especially loved the grandma investigator, maybe there’s hope for me.
This was hard to put down. The intrigue and characters were amazing. I just kept reading and looking for the next book in each set and was disappointed when I reached the very end. The closeness of the main characters make me jealous because I don't have that in my life.
