Finding Me

Rate this book
I've always been lost . . .

Abandoned by a father who didn't want me. Cherished by a stepfather, though I wasn’t his. Shattered by a boy who swore he loved me.

But I belonged nowhere, to no one.

Then I met Owen, the sweet-talking hockey player who made me love him. He gave me the courage to trust in someone besides myself. He showed me a love I longed for.

When an unwanted ghost comes knocking on my door, my heartbreaking history threatens to repeat itself. But where do I turn if I lose everyone? And how do I find where I belong, when I’m still Finding Me?

Finding Me is a spinoff from the Second Chances series and can be read as a standalone.

Solid 3.5 Stars

This was a VERY sweet book and I really enjoyed it.
It read fast (I finished it in about an hour, hour and a half) and it was just really cute.

Why not more stars?

As sweet as it was, it was also a little superficial.
The characters were very flat/cookie cutter and the dialogue fairly cliche and abrupt.
Also, I could see the how the story would unfold from a mile away.

I also realized as I was reading this that it was a spin-off of sorts from a series I haven't read. Although, based on the deliciousness of the character Lucas (the main female character's stepdad in this book), I might go back and pick that one up (for sure if it's available via KU as this one was).

All that said, I absolutely recommend this book for adult readers in the mood for something short and sweet, and for younger romance readers looking for a new favorite. In fact, maybe this book was meant to be geared for young/new adult, I'm not really sure. I didn't really do a lot of investigative work when selecting this from amazon marketplace from my kindle at 9pm last night, people.

Anyway, this possibly being geared toward younger readers was evidenced by this line (which is coming from our barely 18 protagonist, by the way):

"The last time I had a first date, I was fourteen-if this was even a date."

description

This was said with the same nerves and exasperation a divorced 45-year old single mother would say, "I haven't been on a first date since my 20's," as she prepares to embark upon the dating scene for the first time after 20 years of a now failed marriage.

But I digress.

This is not a dig at the book by any means, this is just me saying, if you go in knowing you are getting a very sweet, simple, youthful (but steamy) romance, you will enjoy this thing as I did.

Finding Me was a sweet and enjoyable read. I really liked that it wasn't full of angst like a lot of new adult reads. I also the love the fact the hero was 100% devoted to the heroine from the first moment he saw her and never waivers. Recommend if you are in the mood for a college romance that is low on drama.

Oh how I love this book! Owen is an amazing hero who never wavers. He is awesome! I'd love a novella of them a few years down the road...hint, hint Ms. Rose....

Original review July 2016

**5++ OT and City Stars**

Bella, in an attempt to escape a painful past during her senior year in high school, decides to go to college further away from home. Pretty early in the year, she meets OT, Owen, the hockey star of the school. They are attracted to each other immediately. But being hurt before, Bella makes Owen work for it. Soon, the two are a couple.

I FREAKING LOVED this book. Bella is a great heroine. Though she's been hurt in the past, we don't have to sit through pages and pages of angst filled self doubt and pushing away. She gives Owen a chance.
From the day I met him, he was always just what I needed— and everything I ever wanted. ~Bella

Owen is one of the BEST heroes I have read about...especially in the YA genre. He is so thoughtful and considerate of Bella. He loves everything about her and shows her in so many ways. My heart just melted every time I got his POV. He was totally in love with her from the very beginning.
I found a girl who wanted me for my imperfections, not my status. Bella wanted me for who I was, not what she could get from being with me. In that moment, I knew I would never be able to let her go. Bella was one in a million.~Owen

I loved how, though we know Owen had been with girls, and he has a following, they are not in your face. He is tired of the attention and knows they only want a piece of the hockey star...not who he really is.

Of course, there has to be some conflict. In this case, it comes from an ex of Owen's and another guy who is quite nasty. My heart was hurting for both Bella and Owen. Bella, being hurt before, thought she was destined to relive her past again. Owen, who did nothing to intentionally hurt Bella, only wanted his girl back and would do whatever he needed to do. After a brief separation, things are made right. During this time, Owen never wavers and does everything in his power to get Bella back. I absolutely ADORED him.

We get a nice epilogue but being the greedy bitch I am, I wanted more. I want more of them in the future.

I am definitely going to go back and read Bella's parents' story....I know that one will be interesting.

Enjoyable low angst college tomance. I liked both the h and H - even though H had been around a bit and also the h made the H pay for her ex's mistakes - both pet peeves of mine. Thw H fell for the h on first sight and they were sweet together. Some sexy times too!

4 stars!

I finally know what all the fuss is about when it comes to Owen Thompson. When Finding You was free on Amazon I couldn’t 1-click fast enough cause I needed to meet this OT. Well let me tell you all that Owen Thompson aka OT is the sweetest and kindest guy ever. Man did he swoon me with he’s gestures and his personality. Everything he did just so he could spend time with Bella melted my heart. Bella is a cool girl who’s had a horrible and heartbreaking breakup and has her guard up around Owen but his charms persuades her.

Their relationship was a beautiful journey and the story dealt with relatable issues. Bella’s biological father shows up and people trying to meddle with Owen and Bella’s relationship adds tension to the story.
I love Bella’s parents Sam and Lucas. Their love for Bella was evident and every interaction between them was amazing.
Owen Thompson and Lucas Hunter made my heart sing. What a fabulous story.

What a gorgeous book. I've read this author before and love her style but I feel a real strengthening here on top of a lot of strengths that were already there.
First and foremost is the scenes are rendered vividly. Every single one. I can see the people, places, setting without being bogged down by what I call "business." He looked here,,,she closed the door...he wiped his nose with a blue hanky with white trim in a left-to-right motion...NONE of that, but I could "see" everything.
Secondly, this author writes about good people and I love to read (and write about good people) so that's like catnip to me. Owen was the epitome of a good guy. Good Guy. Blue ribbon award winner. If anything I would have liked to have seen a teeny bit more conflict/resistance between he and Bella at first. There wasn't insta-love, but insta-sure-let-me-drop-my-reservations-and-go-out-with-you that felt kind of fast. But that's small nitpick given that our heroine's real progression isn't just dude-related. It involves her relationship with her dad (not her awesome stepdad from previous novels) but her real absentee father.
Thirdly, the humor. OMG...
“I’m old. I stare into space sometimes.” (so speaketh a man who is not old)

“Aw, City . . . You miss me already, don't you?” His emerald eyes twinkled as he tapped my chin.
“I did, but now you're getting on my nerves, so not really."

LOL love it. Their chemistry was so cute.

Fourthly, the romance.
“She’s it for me.” I shrugged. “She’s everything. I think in ‘when’ with her. Not ‘if’.”

*swoon*

Five whole-hearted stars. Loved this one and I highly recommend to anyone who enjoys steamy-but-sweet romances. <3

Another great little read from Ms Rose. One thing I will say about her writing is she writes the most awesome heroes, and Owen is up there on my favourites list. Though the guy needs a medal what with having to put up with Bella's constant doubting. And this is where what should have been a gorgeous read got to be a bit tedious. I could understand Bella's inadequacies IF she did not have a dad like Lucas who loved and accepted her has his child from day one, she was never given cause to doubt his love for her. I get her ex cheated on her and she was the talk of the school, but to tar every bloke thereafter with the same douche brush got a bit tiring after a while.

I absolutely love how Owen stood by her, fought for her, pursued her and never gave up ..... see, told you he needed a medal! I just wish Bella had extricated her head out of her arse sooner.

4.25 these are all for Owen stars.

So NA reads are not always my thing. They are usually too angst ridden for my tastes. This book had just the right amount of drama mixed in with a great love story.

Bella had a really rough senior year and decided to head to a college where she knew she wouldn't know anyone. It was a fresh start. Her first day there she meets Owen, the star hockey player. She sees how girls look at him and automatically assumes he is just a jock that probably spends each night with a different girl. This is very far from who Owen is. Owen hasn't been with anyone in quite some time and as soon as he sees Bella he knows that no one else will do anyways.

I really did like Bella and understood where she was coming from when a big misunderstanding happens. But I adored Owen and his relentlessness to get his girl back and to explain. I felt really bad for both of them during this time. After that they are 100% solid and only become stronger and closer when life throws crap their way. Owen's dedication to Bella was absolute.

And we get a pretty good epilogue 5 years into the future. Totally safe read.

It was just okay. Simple. Sincere.

So, I literally just finished this book and it was everything I expected and more! I have this huge grin on my face, which I had for the majority of the story because it was just that good! I loved that we got to see Bella all grown up.

Bella is a freshman in college and, after a shitty senior year in high school, she goes as far away as she can. While a fresh start is exactly what she needs, she didn’t know that she would need a cocky, hockey player named Owen.

Owen never knew what he needed...until Bella came into his life.

“My need for her was primal, blinding, and frightening as hell.”

Being a fantastic hockey player, a southern gentleman, and a super sweet guy, he never had a problem with the ladies, but Bella made all of that disappear.

“I never had a chance with this girl. She owned me.”

I loved everything about this story! It was sweet and sappy; steamy and romantic; flirty and fun. And, best of all, it had Lucas and Samantha from Always You! I laughed, I cried (both happy and sad tears), and like I said before, I grinned like an idiot. It was just a feel good, must read story! ~ Tiffany, 5 stars

Oh, Stephanie Rose has done it again and given us an amazing, emotional story of love, trust, forgiveness, and allowing yourself to be loved.

When Owen hears and sees Bella for the first time he knows there's something special about her, yet Bella doesn't make it easy for him. Owen’s not one to be discouraged, though he knows he has some convincing to do…

Oh sweet, sexy Owen—I loved his determination to win Bella over, and even when she put up those roadblocks, he easily brought them down. The support he gave Bella while she dealt with family issues was just swoonworthy and had me rooting for him even more!! Bella, on the other hand, was hard-headed—although I could see why, there were plenty of times I wanted to smack some sense into her.

This story involved a bit of everything: angst, loss, fear, hate, sexiness, love and hope, and it had my attention from the beginning to the very end. Be prepared to have your heart deeply involved in Owen and Bella's story.

I definitely cannot wait for what Ms. Rose will grace us with next! ~ Kara, 5 Beautiful stars

I cannot tell you how long I've waited for this book.. I've had the patience of a saint!! I fell in love with Bella when she was a little girl in Always you, but now that she is all grown up, I just want to hold her and piece by piece mend her back into the beautiful young woman that she is, but can't realize it because of the pain that she has been through.. abandoned by one of the people that shouldn't even abandon you in the first place.. Bella feels like she is not worthy of love.. yes she is loved by her family, has an amazing father figure that has loved her since she was little, but she still has questions as of why her own blood didn't hesitate to walk away... to add more to the equation we have her own ex which I really thought that he was an immature twatwaffle to put it nicely.. Then we have the awesome and amazing Owen with the Southern charm and the Hockey skills.. I mean what's not to love? I could have a man crush on this dude because he is definitely not your typical cocky hero.. nope He was lovable, caring, sweet and everything you expect from a hero of Stephanie.. I fell in love with this couple the minute I started seeing their relationship start.. this book is a beautiful love story about finding yourself within the eyes of that one person that comes into your life to rescue you from the darkness and your own demons.. its about letting the past go and move forward, to not be afraid to trust and love again regardless of being burned and thinking that you're broken.. because there's always going to be that one person that will make you unbreakable (see what I did there? check the playlist ;) ) now to the bragging part.. I'm absolutely flattered that Stephanie recruited me for the hockey parts of this book.. yes there weren't much, but it was amazing to do that! and I'm also in the acknowlegments (I can't spell) I can't wait to read more books from Stephanie seriously she is one of those authors that I wait patiently for every book because they're worth it!! *ARC provided for an honest review*

Finding Me was exactly the sweet and steamy romance I was looking for. It hooked me right from the start and I didn't want to put it down. Even when I had to because adulting called, I found myself thinking about these characters and how their story was going to unfold. This book is a spin off of the author's Second Chances series, but can be read as a stand alone.

Owen. Holy moly. He was literally swoony perfection - considerate, romantic, funny, smart, loyal, and oh yeah, a freaking hot hockey player! He was such a good guy and was devoted to Bella from the start. They had such amazing chemistry and I loved their witty and sexy banter. It also didn't hurt that my own college sweetheart and now hubby, pulled a very similar "Can you help me with class?" Owen move too. ;) He melted my heart with his POV chapters and he had some of the sweetest lines in the entire book.
"She's it for me. She's everything.
I think in 'when' with her. Not 'if'."
Bella. She had such an emotional journey. From overcoming her trust and abandonment issues to opening her heart again. Stephanie Rose gets you invested in these characters and you feel every high and every low right along with them. Bella doubting Owen repeatedly did get a little annoying at times, but given her history and Owen's "fan club" I could definitely understand. I loved that Bella's story came full circle and that she did eventually come into her own. Yes, there is some angst along the way and the inevitable push away, but through it all Owen and Bella never waver from each other and you just can't deny that kind of connection. The epilogue was wonderful and had me grinning ear to ear. Seriously, can we PLEASE have more?! Perhaps a novella further down the road?

I completely loved this book and can't wait to read more from Stephanie Rose! Do yourself a favor and read this now!

I fell in love with Bella when she was 5 years old... Not only did she charm the pants off Lucas and have her wrapped around his little finger but she did me too! So when I found out Stephanie Rose was writing about Bella all grown up I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of it! What could be better then one of my favorite characters getting a story all her own?!? Bella has grown up into a wonderful and strong woman. Her character was everything I wanted her to be and more! She just, her character makes my heart happy! And boy did this story blow me away!! I pretty much fell for Owen as soon as he entered the picture and my heart was gone.... There is so much I want to say but so much I don't so I don't give anything away! All I know is after reading 3 books by Stephanie I don't even need to read a synopsis anymore. I'll one click no matter what! There is laughter, tears, and so much happiness that you'll want more... And so much more! This can be read as a stand alone but if you loved Sam and Lucas, well this book is pretty special for you too! My heart is happy and smiling and I'm ready to go on Bella and Owen's journey again!!! I mean who can resist a sweet southern boy? One who is one heck of a hockey player and the only thing he wants to win is that of his special girls heart!! I mean seriously, no one! One click ASAP!! (Well as soon as it's out!) you do not want to miss the special story of Bella and Owen!!!

Now Owen was one swoon-worthy hunk of man! With his long hair, green eyes and dimples! And, what a sweet southern guy!! Oooo la la!!! And, Bella was a smart city gal with heart. She just wanted to be able to trust any male. The only ones that she seemed to be able to trust was her brother and her stand-in "dad", Lucas. At least that's true until her biological dad comes back into her life and has her questioning her parents' relationship.

I really loved this one! So many romantic moments. And, Bella and Owen's love story was beautiful for a young couple. I had goosebumps when they finally got together. Just the perfect set-up for a young innocent love! Ms. Rose definitely had me hooked from the very first page turned in her newly released book...

This was so sweet. I loved Owen from the start, his true feelings for Bella were obvious. They were fun and flirty and (eventually sexy). And since I just finished Always You I was super excited to see Lucas and Sam again. (This could be a stand alone but I highly recommend at least reading Always You first)

I'm sitting here, trying to come up with words that will do this book justice. I had the absolute pleasure to beta this story, and then to read an arc. I finished it a couple of weeks ago and I still am not sure where to start. That may in part be due to that fact that any time I think about it I start to tear up. Lucas and Bella tend to do that to me. And then throw in sweet, sweet, Owen...and well, a girl can only handle so much.

If you've read Always You then you know Bella. She was the timid, shy, adorable little girl we all fell in love with. In Finding Me - A Second Chances Series Spinoff that adorable little girl is all grown up and off to college. After a horrible high school experience she's picked a college away from home, where she can make a fresh start for herself.

Bella's first day on campus finds her running into Owen "OT" Thompson, star hockey player and campus hottie. Oh Owen, just thinking about this sweet southern boy has me swooning. He's everything Bella could want, "Owen was the first man I had dreams of licking while I was still awake.", and everything she's not ready for. She's still gun-shy because of what she went through with her ex, but Owen is determined and does everything he can to win her over. And, sigh, that boy knows how to win a girl over. "You outshine everyone to me. You're bright...like a sky full of stars."

Freshman year not only brings Bella a new love, it also brings an unwanted visitor from her past...her biological father, someone she hasn't seen or heard from in 13 years. Marc Christensen is a man she doesn't even know, he abandoned her and her mother when she was 5 and he's made no attempt to contact her since then. But now he's back, causing Bella heartache and conflict, as she tries to figure out what he wants without hurting Lucas, the only father she's ever known. Bella's always wondered and questioned why Marc left her, his only child. She's hoping that his getting in contact with her now means he wants to be a part of her life, and maybe she'll get some answers.

Oh how I adored this book.
Bella is a strong, courageous young lady. She's so real and relatable. Life has thrown some difficult situations in her path, but she's dealt with them with aplomb and has come through them for the better.
I loved seeing Samantha and Lucas again- Lucas is still the swoon-worthy alpha male I fell for in AY, but to see him as a proud and caring father, to see that special bond he still shares with Bella, the absolute and unconditional love he has for his Butterfly, I thought my heart was going to burst.
Owen is probably my favorite college-aged hero I have read...there really are no words. He's swoony, (I may have mentioned that before), he's caring, he's protective, he's an utter sweetheart who just completely stole my heart. Even when things with Bella hit a rough patch his love for her never wavered.
"She's it for me." I shrugged. "She's everything. I think in 'when' with her. Not 'if'."

Finding Me is the beautiful and touching story of one young woman's quest to figure out who she is and where she belongs. And I can't recommend it enough.

Merged review:

Audible review- I listened to the end of this again yesterday and realized I never wrote my review!

"Sweet Southern Charm and his City!"
I really loved this coming-of-age story.
Bella has a lot to deal with in her freshman year away at college, in addition to your typical first year college stuff! Not only is she still getting over her ex-boyfriend's betrayal, but a ghost from her past decides to make an unwelcome appearance. Throw in Owen and the girl has almost more than she can handle! But she's one strong gal- which is thanks to her wonderful stepdad Lucas, who I just adored in this book.
Owen is such a sweetheart, I can hardly contain my love for him! He's so into Bella and it was just the swooniest thing. They have their moments of doubt and frustration, but you can just feel the love that grows between them throughout the book.
I laughed and cried, and swooned my little heart out reading this book.
And can we just talk about that epilogue for a minute??? I forgot how amazing it was until I listened to it again!

Lauren Sweet did a great job narrating this book! Loved her take on Owen's southern drawl and Bella's innocence.

A good read. This just felt very young adult to me. I tend to lean towards more mature adult romance these days.

The hero is a good guy and displayed some jealous, possessive behavior that I like to see in my heroes. Nothing over the top.

There is a little bit of other woman drama. While I didn't like her character, the author did a good job of not overdoing her part.

The heroine is a sweet girl. She had a couple immature behavior moments but nothing too bad. There wasn't anything exceptional about her. I do tend to care more about the hero in books though.

I think overall the author did a good job of not making anything too much in this story. While I liked that, it also didn't make the story stand out for me either. Again, that could be because this couple felt too young for what I normally like.

~ 4.5 "Sky Full of Stars" Stars ~

I absolutely love Stephanie Rose’s books. I have read every one of them and I will continue to read anything she writes.

Her stories always have that feel good feeling and leave me with a HUGE smile on my face in the end. She doesn’t create stories that are overloaded with excess drama, which I love. Her stories do tend to lean towards the insta-love kind, but they work. I think it has to do with the fact that she keeps the story moving and the timeline moves along, so you don’t feel like everything happens in a day or two. (I hope that makes sense)

I was looking so forward to reading Finding Me. This is part of her Second Chances series, but can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading Always You (Book 1) first just so you can get the feeling of the characters in this book. Finding Me is the story about Bella (Sam and Lucas’s daughter from book 1) I fell in love with Bella as the five year old little girl we were introduced to and I still feel the same way after we see her as an 18 year old college student.

We learn a lot about Bella and her feelings in this book. She was a broken girl who had some trust and abandonment issues. Her biological father Marc left when she was 5 years old and hasn’t had any contact with her since. Then her high school boyfriend cheats on her and does it publicly, making her senior year at school awful. So Bella has decided to move away to college to start fresh where no one knows her background. This is where she meet her saving grace….Owen :) Owen was a fantastic Hero in this story. He made me swoon almost every time he talked.

I thought Finding Me was a really sweet love story. The storyline was engaging and held my attention all the way through. I felt that this story was very well written. I really liked that there wasn't an over abundance of drama. Don't get me wrong there was some drama, but it was usually short lived and not dragged out throughout the whole book.

I will say that there was one part of this story that I really didn’t like…it was a bit to cliche for me and something that was very predictable for this genre of book. I truly felt that part could’ve been left out and this book would’ve been just as good or even better in my mind. Plus I didn’t feel this part of the story was ever really finished. I wanted to know what happened with Amber and Richie. We did get some closure with Richie but not what I was hoping for. Maybe there was more to that storyline in my own head and that’s why it felt unfinished to me. I still really enjoyed this story, but this is why I didn’t give it 5 stars.

What I loved the most about this book was the message Stephanie was trying to get across.

“ Sometimes our parents aren’t the ones we’re assigned, sometimes God gives them to us in other ways. Biology doesn’t make a father, love does.”….Stephanie Rose

You’ll understand more of why I loved that quote from Stephanie after you read this book.

I LOVED that we got to see more of Lucas and Sam and got to know Joey as well. I’m actually hoping after reading the epilogue, that we might get a book for Joey as well. I think his story would be fun. I want to see if he turns out like his dad Lucas.

I would recommend this book to everyone, especially those who love a great college love story.

“Lucas, you saved me. You’re just like Superman.”
Lucas and Bella… One of the most beautiful examples of the love between a man and his daughter, even if she’s not biologically his. I fell for the sweet 5-year-old Bella in Lucas’ story, Always You, and was so excited when Stephanie Rose blessed us with a story of her own. Now 18 years old, starting college away from her beloved parents and far from her disastrous last year of high school Bella hopes to move on from the past and find herself. She doesn’t plan on meeting a self-assured southern hockey player or the feelings that stem from their first encounter.
“You two must be from the city,” a smooth baritone voice noted from behind us. “I’d take a coffee from Bean Shooters over the overpriced garbage from Starbucks any day.”
I narrowed my eyes as I turned around. I was prepared to tell him in my thickest Queens accent to keep his city comments to himself when I lost the ability to speak. I never thought I’d see the day a guy with silky ash brown hair almost down to his shoulders and held back with a black bandana would make me want to drool. My eyes traveled down to his tight black sleeveless shirt stretched out by a wide muscular chest and stopped at strong chiseled arms.
Owen has quite the reputation as a lady’s man and Bella just knows he couldn’t be interested in her. As she tutors him a friendship grows and so does their attraction to one another. When they FINALLY decide to open up about their feelings it made my heart race. The moments leading up to their first kiss were so beautiful.
“You are so beautiful,” Owen whispered as he took my face in his hands and rubbed his thumbs back and forth over my cheeks. “When you’re around around, I don’t see anyone but you.”
Owen is such a charmer, and the way he treats Bella is perfection. He is the ultimate book boyfriend, and as of writing this review I’ve suffered such a horrible (yet wonderful) book hangover. The things he says and does to Bella make warm circles go around my heart.
“You’re my sky full of stars.”
“Yeah, you should be afraid of this redneck. Especially if you try to hurt this girl again.”
“From the moment you came into my life, no one else would ever compare, I wanted – needed – to be with you.”
“Everything else that happened would fall into place as long as I had you. All I need is you, Bella.”
Owen and Bella do face some trouble, which threatens to tear them apart, and you find yourself wondering if they can make it. I was rooting for them the entire time, and I have a confession to make. If you’ve read Ms. Rose’s first 2 books, Always You and Only You, you know her leading men are just shy of perfection. Lucas and Evan are so swoon worthy and I never thought I could love anyone more than them, especially not a hockey playing college kid. I was wrong. God, was I wrong. Owen is a combination of the two of them, all the best parts with his southern charm thrown in. He has risen to the top of my all-time favorite book boyfriends.
This book was the ultimate love story, but more. It showed the beautiful relationships between Bella and her mom, and the ultra-special bond she has with Lucas. The flashbacks to their early relationship made me weep. This book has it all, romance, some danger, laughing, crying, screaming and possible kindle throwing and most of all: FAMILY.

Review by Lisa Kane

Bella is the daughter of Samantha and Lucas from Always You. I adored that book and this one was just as delicious.

Bella is about to start her freshman year in college. She is so over the drama from her senior year in high school. Drama that was so bad that she's going to college four hours from her home in Queens, New York. Her boyfriend Christian left to go away to college but apparently forgot to tell her that he was dumping her for someone else. He quickly became the hot hockey player attracting lots of attention. His new love posted pics of them all over Facebook and he didn't hesitate to comment on them. Seems everyone at Bella's school knew about it well before her. As if having her nose rubbed in it wasn't enough, when Bella confronted him, he blew her off saying he wanted out of their relationship long before this. Needless to say, Bella's last year was a nightmare but this new adventure is just what she needs.

I really didn't know anyone on campus, but that was a major plus to me when choosing schools. The drama of my senior year had drained the life out of me. I reveled in making a new start for myself far enough away from home-a place where I could have a true clean slate.

On her first day she runs into a hot guy named Owen. She's no nun living in a convent, but she finds out he's the school's number one hockey player and there seems to be no end to the line of girls waiting for him to notice them. Owen's earned his nickname of "OT".

"Owen Thompson, and he's the center for the hockey team. When he joined, the team really sucked. But then he started scoring goals at the last minute and forcing games into overtime. OT seemed to stick. Plus, he looks like the type of guy who's always up for overtime."

As far as Bella's concerned, he might as well not exist. Been there, done that. But Owen doesn't give up and he wants to get to know Bella. He makes sure he's where she is so she's forced to notice him. They are in a finance class together and Owen asks Bella for help tutoring him. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Owen is having no trouble in this class, but Bella likes hanging out for their tutoring sessions.

Finally, Owen breaks through her protests against dating him. But just because they are officially seeing each other, that doesn't mean there won't be whole new drama thrown Bella's way. Remember, Owen is quite the catch and there will be lots of scheming, jealous former one night stands of his that want more than one night. Add in some family drama and the ex douchebag stirring up trouble and this story had no problem holding my attention!

I miss you and I love you. And I'll say it as many times and for as many days as I have to-until you believe it.

I fell in love with six year old Bella in Always you (Sam & Lucas' story) and couldn't wait to see where her life took her when she was all grown up. Being abandoned by her bio dad left a mark she couldn't forget. Lucas is the perfect father but in the back of Bella's mind, he's not her real father. I can relate to Bella on this and I felt for her.

Bella was humiliated her senior year of high school so when the chance to choose a college far from the drama came up, she took it. Trying to start fresh, she meets Owen and as much as she doesn't want to start anything with him because she's scared that he'll hurt her, her heart wins and they continue to hang out.

Owen is so damn sweet and hot and respectful. I honestly don't think there is anyone better for Bella. He accepts her as she does him. He's not just some hockey player that can benefit her. He's just Owen.

Finding Me was a quick read. This can be read as a standalone but if you read Always You, I highly recommend reading Bella's story. You get more Lucas!

4.5 STAR READ!

First off, let's just start by saying how freaking beautiful Finding Me's cover is! I feel like I've been waiting for forever for this book to come out, but let's be honest, it feels like that all of the time! :D

Bella is trying to turn a new leaf at college and wants to try and forget the last year she had while in high school. She ends up running into college hockey star, Owen, and he ends up convincing Bella that he needs a tutor. She is not trying to start a relationship especially after the last one she had back in high school that broke her heart. But as she ends up spending more and more time with Owen, she is finding herself catching feelings for him no matter how hard she tries. Owen is doing everything he can to spend more time with Bella. He knows that with tutoring that is really the only way that he can do that. I fell in love with Owen in this book. He had me laughing and kept me on my toes the entire time. The banter between these two kept me pulled in and I loved that about this story. I cannot wait to see what else Stephanie has because this book was amazing!

I started this book today with the intention of getting hopefully 40% in before the weekend came to a close.

I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN!

So, now I've finished and I'm sad because I want to read it all over again for the first time.

Owen sexy hockey player and absolute perfect guy. I loved every since piece of him and Bella gah! I loved how she wanted to start a new chapter in her life, far away from the past. Of course, once she meets Owen all bets are off. She begins tutoring him in math and as time passes you realize he didn't even need tutoring just wanted Bella's time.

This is a friends to lovers, to starting over,to love, true deep to your bones love and I loved every minute.

I can't wait to read something else by his author.
