This is what I get for picking up a book without reading the blurb first. I thought I'd give these authors another try since it has been a while since I have read anything by them. Plus, I needed something super quick to pass the time while I waited for my children to wrap up their afterschool stuff.

Honestamente no esperaba que esta pequeña historia fuera a gustarme tanto, pero lo hizo.
Marriage Material fue una lectura amena, divertida y por suerte no le encontre tantos detalles absurdos como en los ultimos libros que he leido de estas autoras.
Ademas la pareja protagonista me parecio muy dulce y tierna, sigue teniendo algunos detalles dificiles de creer ( de no haberlos no seria una novela de Alexa Riley ) pero en general me parecio uno de los mejores trabajos de este duo.

Marriage Material was so sweet, I had to spell it with extra E's so everyone would understand exactly the type of Sweet it was. There was trademark AR Insta-Lust/Love, lots of claiming of Mine and a little baby girl for the Awwww Factor. You also had two people who never had kissed before... or anything else for that matter.
This was an ok AR. The main focus outside of the main relationship was family.
It did have all usual touchstones; wealthy guy, sexually inexperienced gal, a story hook of somekind and bam they are in love.
Again, this was a very Sweeeeet AR.

Sweet and loving couple. I loved these 2 together. Epilogue was nice but I need to know how many kids did they have? And some interaction with them would be nice cause we only ever see them interact with Charlotte who was a cutie by the way! Safe: both virgins!

"Marriage Material" is the story of Robin and Anderson.
Now, I'll be honest- I was very hesitant going into this book because my last few ARs have been meh and I am not the biggest fan of virgin heroes. However, this book was surprisingly good!
We had a hero who gains custody of a distant cousin's one month old baby girl and moves to a small town to give her a stable life.
We had a heroine who's been bought up in a loving family with four older brothers, trying to find her freedom by working as a nanny.
We have a chance encounter at a grocery store, and instant attraction with live-in babysitter propositions.
We have sweet kisses and sexy lovemaking, intermingled with overprotective brothers and stalker drama.
We have detailed gooey HEA.
Enjoyed it!

This is a classic AR read.
Anderson has built a company from the ground up he has made more money than he will ever be able to spend the only thing he is is lonely. Losing both his parents young he’s been alone for a long time never thinking he would ever have a family that is until he gets a call that changes his life. He’s become guardian to a little girl, time to stop living in the fast lane he moves to a small town where he meets his destiny. But can he hold on to her especially after her older protective brothers get involved. He is going to fight to keep her.
Robin is the youngest of five children and her brothers stifle her every move. No man is ever good enough and they always run a mile when they meet her brothers. All she has ever wanted is a family but for now she works as a nanny, the day she met Anderson and Charlotte she finds everything she’s ever wanted now if only she can get her brothers to back off she could have the life she has always wanted.

This was a cute, typical Alexa Riley story set in a small town. Anderson is all alone I the world since both his parents passed away when he was young. He had been extremely shy and was very much an introvert and focused on computers and built a successful company. He became a single dad when his distant cousin passed away and left him her baby girl. He sells his company and moves to a small town to provide a better life for his new daughter.
Robin has lived in the small town all her life. She is the youngest girl with older brothers who are so overprotective that she feels stifled. She meets Anderson at the grocery store and he asks her to be his live-in nanny. And they fall instantly I love.

Cute couple. Anderson inherited his deceased cousins daughter and is raising her on his own. He has always been all business, but when he gets his baby girl he retires and moves to a small town. Robin has grown up in this small town, the baby girl of too many over protective brothers. Pfft...these guys *que eye roll* are a handful. They treat her like she’s still a little girl, but they are very entertaining....because I am hoping there will be future books😉....subtle I know. She’s a nanny and Anderson hires her right then...boom, insta-family.
Cute read with double virgins and a shit ton of baby batter. No ow drama, but a little om drama. For me this was safe, she does go on a date that had already been planned before her and Anderson are a thing, but since she already likes Anderson, she cuts and runs pretty quickly. Their books are always packing a lot of steam, epilogues and an hea.

Loved reading Anderson and Robin's endearing story with baby Charlotte... such sweet and memorable characters! Now will Robin's single brothers have story too?

Anderson Davis is 30 years old and he built his company Davis International from the ground up. He has devoted all his time to his company so much so that he’s still a virgin and he suffers from stress related anxiety. He receives a call from child services saying his cousin he hasn’t seen in years has died and he’s the guardian for her one month old daughter, Charlotte. As soon as he sees the baby he falls in love with her and doesn’t wanna raise her in the city. He sells his company and buys a big farmhouse in the small town of Deercreek. Robin is 19 years old and she has five very protective older brothers. Her oldest brother, Kent is the Sheriff of Deercreek. Her brothers scare off any potential suitors so she’s never even been kissed before. She’s a nanny and she was working for a family for two years but they moved two weeks ago so she’s been babysitting part time ever since. For three months she’s been trying to move out of her parents house but every time she finds a place one of her brothers ruins it for her. Anderson is taking care of baby Charlotte all by himself and he hasn’t gotten much sleep. He runs into Robin at the grocery store and he is amazed when she gets Charlotte to stop crying. She tells him she’s a nanny and he offers her a live-in position which she sees as a way to move out and gladly accepts it. Anderson wants Robin for more than just his nanny and he doesn’t plan on letting her go. When he tells Robin how Charlotte came to be his she is even more attracted to him. No one has been taking care of Anderson and Robin intends to change that. When her family finds out about their relationship Anderson has no problem standing up to her brothers and declaring his intentions. This only convinces her that he is the right man for her if he’s willing to face her brothers and her parents.

Why this book is probably one of the most poorly written things I’ve ever read.
The first 1/3 is 100% info dump information on characters we will never need.
Male: 30 rich virgin never kissed anyone drops everything to take care of a baby that gets dropped on him.
Female: 19 virgin never kissed or dated has like 5 protective brothers only one of which you ever meet.
She’s a baby sitter he’s a single father she helps him pick out rash cream and the next day he’s in her pants.
The author makes a big deal at first of how the girl wants to keep her first kiss special and then after? “We kissed and he’s fingering me” really? Was it all you dreamed about then?
Thrown together characters don’t fit and just another all around rich guy poor girl insta love makes no sense but here we are book.

I pull my wife into my lap as everyone starts opening gifts. “Mama!” Charlotte says as she crawls over to us. Robin lifts her into her arms and holds our baby girl close. My whole world is sitting in my lap and I take deep breath, trying to get my emotions under control. I never knew life could be this good.
Such a cute story. One of my favorite re-reads. You can never go wrong with an Alexa Riley book. Insta-love with possssive H and a HEA.

Sweetness overload! I didn't think anything would be able to match the sweetness of their last release, The Whole Package. Boy was I wrong!
Anderson was the right amount of sweet and alpha.
Robin was beautifully sweet. I adored her family. Even her super, overly protective brother.

Oh the sweetness, This book is so full of the sweet alphaness you expect when you get a book from this author, it was an absolute pleasure to read. I got emotionally involved with the charecters in this book as they were perfectly beautiful, I adored the family in this story and the way they loved each other hard.
Anderson was so easy to love, He built his whole life around his business then is thrust into being a single dad, he will definitely make your heart melt and you will swoon at his Alphaness and the way he just knows what he wants. Robin is so beautifully sweet and loves her family like no other even if they are up in her business 24/7, her absolute adorableness and the way she loves is a joy to read. When their two worlds collide it is magical.
I would recommend this book and author to anyone who loves getting immersed in an amazing book and loves a really sweet beautiful story between beautiful souls, I adored reading this book and it one I will definitely read again as it is heart warming, I hope you love this book as much as I do. What an interesting twist on the single dad/nanny combo! I haven't read a book like this before. Anderson is sweet and sincere and protective, and he has his priorities straight. Robin loves kids and wants a life of her own, but her brothers keep her in a protective bubble. The way these two end up together is like fate threw them into each other's lives. This was sweet and I did shed a tear at one point, but also steamy. Especially their first intimate moment! Loved it.

Not that you need to know this but my job has really kept my reading game at minimal participation in the past 6 months, which I have hated. Thankfully that is all changing. Why do I tell you all this? Because now that I'm back in the game, the first book I picked up was Marriage Material and it was exactly what I needed. AR always gives me the escape I'm looking for. That pure cheesy goodness that I realize I just can't live without.
Robin is twenty and trying to move out of her parent's house but it's becoming difficult to do in her small town when her five older brothers have their hand in everything. When Anderson shows up in town with sweet baby Charlotte, this is her chance to take a live in nanny position and move away. However, she's gaining a lot more than a nanny job. The moment the two of them locked eyes, it was love at first sight and nothing was going to stop these two from being together.

Good
This was a pretty solid AR story. Both characters were very likeable and sweet. This is the normal insta love and both are virgins. I just wish the heroines in these types of stories were a little older, maybe into their twenties instead of 18 or 19.

Insta-love+lust that didn't felt like insta. Love it.

God it was really over the top good.
