A creepy old house, an old lover who’s not quite right, a spirit with a hunger for life, and a reunion of the dead – the perfect weekend away – right?
When Eden’s old flame Gabe invited her to visit, she wasn’t sure she should go – it just felt like Gabe was up to something, and if Gabe’s newly inherited house was anything like Gabe’s deceased grandfather, who’d left it to him, she knew it would be creepy. But for some reason, she went. At least she was smart enough to take backup. But when they got there even her best friend, Xavier, was spooked - and he didn’t scare easily.
When she started seeing and hearing people who couldn’t possibly be there, people who were dead and gone, she wanted to think she was imagining it – but was she? Was it real, or was she losing her mind? She hadn’t expected a reunion with the rest of the old gang from school. Why would she? Except for Gabe they were all dead. Except… here they were… and more.
When Xavier’s life hangs in the balance, Eden knows that she can’t pretend it’s not real any longer.
What power does Gabe’s grandfather’s ghost have over them? Can she figure out what to do before she and Xavier join the rest of the gang – dead and haunting? Or will Gabe’s ghostly grandfather drain the life from them?

The beginning of a series of short hauntings with the same interesting main characters. If you love ghostly terrors, this is the series for you!
Eden has always been a bit different; she has a gift. Ghosts are very real to her. Since childhood Eden has seen and talked with them. It isn’t a gift that has done much good for her. Practically no one in her life has believed her, until the point where she began denying the truth to herself. That is about to change.
Eden and her best friend Xavier are headed to visit a college friend of Eden’s. Gabe’s grandfather has died and left him a grand house and a bit of money. He has reached out to Eden and invited her to come visit.
From the very start of the visit, the house seems off to Eden. She hears a cruel voice commenting as they tour the place. For having become wealthy, Gabe doesn’t seem to be doing very well personally. He is gaunt and nervous. Since they have only talked on the computer, Eden has no idea how long he has been this way.
After dark, the old place takes an eerie turn towards evil. Gabe’s grandfather is still in residence and up to no good. Will Eden and Xavier make it out of this house unscathed?
Another great book! I was hooked from the very beginning and I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I was so into the story that time flew . If you enjoy stories about ghosts and the paranormal this book is for you. I can't wait for the next book from this author. I highly recommend this book and this author.
The Haunting on the Ridgeway is terrific 4.5 stars
I like these stories and have to admit this is my favorite so far. The story is well put together, and the characters are real and get my full sympathy! If you read this one, you'll be hooked to.
This book was not for me. Didn't really know what was going on at first. I felt confused. There was no mention of a ghost until around 42% in, but the book finished around 84% for me.
Wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the book because the beginning took a long time to start and I nearly stopped reading but I hate to give up so I carried on and am pleased that I did. It gripped me as right through to the end which was around 84% through, when it suddenly opened the second book as a taster. I personally left reading anything about the continuing story, because I have the trilogy and want to read in my own time.
