Instant for Two (Easy and Healthy Cookbook) is what you are looking for, here you'll find nutritious, flavorful, simple instant pot recipes that will easily transform into mouth-watering meals― perfectly scaled for two. I am a personal trainer and need to eat healthy food, as well as good tasty food, but I don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen preparing meals, especially when I come home from work, exhausted.
We don’t have to struggle anymore with the “We have no idea what to eat...What do we cook for breakfast or for dinner tonight?”
Lots of good sounding recipes for two in this cookbook but you better have psychic powers to figure out what the ingredients are, how much to use and how to cook them. I've never seen a cookbook more in need of serious editing! The IP clams recipe fails to mention clams in the ingredients or the amount you need in the directions. Oh, it does call for a cup of minced garlic. Really? A cup of garlic in the broth? Doubt it. Just about every recipe needs clarification. I had to search all day to find a recipe I could actually make by following what was written: shrimp and steamed asparagus. And it worked, and it was good. This is the first recipe for fresh shrimp (not frozen) I have seen and her method worked and cooked the shrimp perfectly without overcooking them. The asparagus was also good, though I doubled the amount (she called for 6 asparagus stalks total for two people). And two of the directions were in the wrong order. Page after page of recipes are like this. Often the amount of water is omitted and this is serious in a pressure cooker. And when the actual ingredients are listed, they seem to be in a random order, not in the order you put them in the recipe. Low-carb IP Muffins have an extra ingredient, Can juice (.25 c) and note there is no ingredient that comes in a can nor is it mentioned anywhere in the directions to give you a clue as to what it might be. So, buyer beware. Wait until this cookbook undergoes a serious edit before buying. I have the feeling that the actual recipes are good ones...I just wish the author hadn't decided to keep them secret.
I did not like how the recipe directions were written.
I like how the author took some time at the beginning of the book and talked about the instantpot and it's preset buttons for those that are not very familiar with the InstantPot. However, I did not like how the recipe directions were written. They were kinda hard to follow using phrases such as, "add this before adding that" or "do this before doing that" which are both used in most of the steps. It made it sound like English is not the author's native language. There are a few recipes I want to try but I'm going to have to write them down using phrases that are easier to follow before I do or else I'm going to get confused while making these recipes. If this book can be edited by someone to make it better and an update applied, then I will happily update my rating.
I found the recipes to be perfect for ONE. I've tried a couple of the recipes but with a 6'2" active husband, he could eat the entirety of most of these. I'll double the recipes so we can both eat. (j/k of course). But w/out soup and dessert recipes that means I'd have to purchase another book to use. Plus finding recipes for two is really difficult. I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this book.
This book has very general recipes, some of which are readily available for free on the internet. Nothing original or even a bit unique. They use just about the same recipes and switch out the protein depending on which chapter you are reading. I’m sorry I spent any money on this book.
I was looking for some normal vegetarian recipes that I could make in the instant pot. The book doesn’t include a variety, it focuses on using shirataki rice for all of the recipes which is expensive and difficult to find in a regular store. Was not what I was looking for.
I haven't tried any of these recipes but many sound delicious. I was interested in cooking for my small family of two with my new instant pot and this book have me some ideas.
A variety of recipes to cook in misty pot That you can make in small amounts. Would have liked more every day recipes. Need to cook with what I have on hand and many of the ingredients would take a special trip to store.
This is probably a really good book, but after downloading it from Kindle Unlimited, I could not open any more than the introduction. No recipes were available to me. So, I returned it, and am now writing this review.
This cook book is a good read and a lot of interesting recipes. I will tell my son and daughter in law about this book. Four stars because I can't eat shrimp.
Some good info about the Instant Pot but the recipes were very high calorie or high fat or high carb. Noticed numerous typos or other errors. I would not buy this book.
Nearly every recipe included some sort of hot pepper ( Ground Chili seasoning, Red pepper etc.) Which I am allergic to. Otherwise the recipes seemed good and easy to follow.
