Un último tomo bueno, con sus dosis de gore, pero un tanto cliché en otros aspecto, no me molestó pero tampoco me convenció del todo hacia donde se dirigieron ciertas cosas de la historia(las relaciones), pero el hilo inicial me gustó.

Keigo is at the festival with his mascot loving younger brother Makoto and his best friend Ako Sejima when all of a sudden, something causes the mascots to spiral into a bloodthirsty rage. Their systems are hacked and they begin to prey on every living thing in their path.
The premise started off fairly interesting. There's no denying that mascots can be extremely unsettling and this story plays off of the fear of them malfunctioning and the electronic mascots being hacked for nefarious purposes, but the story ends up getting unnecessarily convoluted and devolves into a mediocre tale full of very poorly executed shounen cliches in place of a genuinely compelling horror story. It probably would've been better if it wasn't so rushed and tried to cram in a million different subplots into such a simple premise.

Overall, this story has a strong concept and the chapters are short, suitable for a quick thriller read. It might be a bit cliche when it comes to creating a non-human being for terrorism/ the purpose of creating an army, but it is quite nice~ Just don't expect to much from the storyline or the explanation *wink

Keigo Ayahara attends the National Local Mascot Festival with his little brother, Makoto, and his friend, Ako. At the festival, mascots of all shapes and sizes are present for the public to meet and choose their most favourite mascot. Unfortunately, things turn ugly when the adorable mascots suddenly become vicious killing machines. In the chaos, Keigo is separated from his brother and friend. While searching for them, he soon finds out the truth about the mascots and a secret related to his estranged father.
Likes:
-- The story is inspired from the Greek mythology of Pygmalion. For those who like gore and violence, this manga has a lot of such illustrations. I like the storyline and the plot twists too. It's an okay read.
Dislikes:
-- It could have been more interesting if the story was longer. :D

El guión, para ser el final, ha sido flojísimo. Creo que en un tomo único habría funcionado mejor, porque el primer número empezó súper arriba, pero después ha ido lento y ha usado la violencia por la violencia.
Una pena, porque la serie tenía mucho potencial. Quizás como anime funcionaría, pero como manga se queda corto.

Some really great themes were explored in this in the early chapters, so I was gonna give it a 4 stars. But the last chapter was very ' tidying up everything in a pretty bow ' and I wish it was left more open ended than that. Hence the 3 stars.

Me entretenía mucho la historia, pero en este tomo se me hizo cursi, tanta sangre y muerte para que terminara así de "sencillo", no me agradó el final.

Perfecta combinación de palomitero y gore
Hay veces en las que no quieres material de lectura súper reflexivo. Hay veces en las que te da por querer desconectar el cerebro. Pygmalion entra en esa categoría, pero no por ello deja de ser una apuesta atractiva y, aunque algo cliché, efectiva.
En este Japón hay algo conocido como el Festival Nacional de Mascotas Regionales. Para no complicarnos, aparecen muchas mascotas por las calles, y estas traen alegrías, risas y- ¿¡desmembramientos!? Keigo y Makoto, ambos hermanos, se ven metidos en todo este lío, y cuando el segundo, que es el hermano pequeño, se pierde, Keigo tendrá que sobrevivir a toda esta masacre junto con otros personajes. Sin embargo, ambos hermanos tienen algo especial, puede que la clave para detener todo este caos para siempre.
Poca broma, a pesar de que no creo que sean la gran cosa, me gustaron mucho los personajes, sobre todo al villano principal. Será algo cliché, pero a mí me lo han logrado colar, y tiene un pequeño giro que te hace simpatizar con él.
De los tres, este sería mi favorito por un motivo: el perdón. ¿Serías capaz de perdonar a alguien que te lo hizo pasar tan mal? ¿Que mantuvo siempre secretos de ti? ¿Que hasta te utilizó para darte algo que tú ni siquieras sabías que tenías, solo por si todo salía mal? Los monólogos que sueltan ciertos personajes son muy interesantes y pueden traer algo de perspectiva a aquellos abiertos a debate.
El gore también fue... brutal. A veces se pasa, no mentiré, y en el segundo volumen hay una escena que, ughhh, hizo que se me revolviesen un poco las tripas.
También, este es el que más giros sutiles tiene en cuando a evolución de personajes y trama. Recomiendo leer los tres del tirón, porque causa más impacto.
Si queréis algo para pasar el rato, Pygmalion es una buena elección, eso seguro.
Ahora, por favor, que alguien añada la edición en español del tercer tomo en Goodreads, porque es el que falta, los otros dos se pueden encontrar sin problemas.
